@@ThunderJimmy I think I'm getting really close to the end myself. I'm at the part where I have to investigate the three pits that have opened up after learning the true nature of them (purposely staying vague as to keep spoilers to a minimum for any passersby).
I am not gonna lie... Monster hunter stories got me into monster hunter, this is where my mh journey started... Quite an odd start now that i think about it.
I hope with the financial success of Stories 2 that Capcom considers porting the first Stories game to the Switch, it deserves a lot more attention than it got on the 3DS.
It brings tears to my eyes that l'll be able to consider this nostalgic, a soothing heartwarming memory from my youth. A game that changed my perspective on Monster Hunter more than any mainline title, and a game that stands among my favorite games. Whenever my life is struggling I can always look back at this, and appreciate the time when it was blissful, even if I never become a successful person; I can always remember the times when I was happy. I can look upon this game, remembering every Monster I collected, every singular one, who (at least in my juvenile mind) felt more like real characters than those in thousands of generic First-person shooters or bland trendy games that everyone overhypes. So many games that try their damnedest to remind you of the depression that comes with life, while many attempts are good..I just overfond a truly wholesome game such as this. Experiences that shred apart my crumbling emotions, and tell me there is some happiness to be found in this cruel world. And I found it with this game, with its story characters & of course, the Monsters. For that, I can die peacefully knowing I experienced one masterpiece in my lifetime. So..Thank you Monster Hunter Stories, l'll never forget you. - A comment no one will ever read or care about cause its being posted on a 5 year old video, and is stupidly excessive.
This artwork is amazing, especially how the Rathalos talons look like yian kutku reaching a hand out forward to grab the konchu, even it's face is all like "GIMME DAT!"
Actually a really good game, Music was on par with mainstream MH games, exactly what I would expect from Capcom. This music in particular was brilliant, as well as the main theme, and *SPOILER* ... chevels battle theme. Hope to see another MH game in this style.
I am coming to a realization about the MHST rider thing because what if a rider wanted to cause chaos or was very against the whole idea of hunters and killing monsters unless of course if it was pure self defense. And this rider started to hunt down the hunters , your just a hunter on a mission to slay a ..let's say slay a Bulldrome . And just as your about to deliver the last blow to this bulldrome another hunter or at who you think is a hunter comes out of nowhere from above and immediately sends you flying across the forest floor and stands protectively in front of the bulldrome . This 'hunter then calls out ''We won't let you harm this innocent monster without a fight !'' or something along those lines and you come to realize this person is wielding a powerful weapon and is clad in fatalis armor and as they finish their sentence a saddled full grown Rathian lands behind them and flares out her wings and roars as if agreeing with this stranger. tell me , would you or would you not shit your pants? I feel like encountering a battle hungry or very stuck to the code sort of rider would be bloody terrifying!
seriously, make a monster hunter stories 2, X, genrations i don't know but PLEASE CAPCOM MORE! the thing what make this game with no end is even you are lv 99, the monster of hight rank still hard to defeat edit: they actualy made it....let's go!
The only thing I want is the monstie to be its actual size while it fights alongside you or while you ride it around. It would be so cool to fly around on a accurately sized Rathian.
Since I bought this game, this is my favourite soundtrack along with the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon ones. I haven't beaten Stories yet (I'm as far as battling the Stygian Zinogre that appears while you chase the blighted White Dragon) and so far my favourite track for this game is when you battle against the Kirin in the Kinship Stone in the ruins of Redan. That track gave me chills
You know what would be awesome? If more RU-vidrs did playthroughs of this game. This game is so awesome and has an amazing entirely instrumental soundtrack to go along with a unique storyline.
Well the thing that sucks about this awesome song is that it's barely used for battles and are just used for very weak enemies. I wish they put this for harder enemies or something at least fun to fight. But I guess if you wanted to hear this song for a long time in battle, you gotta be weak as heck against weak enemies on the field.
Draldier i haven't really played the game yet, ( getting it for Christmas), but I feel a boss version of this or stronger enemy version should have a bit more of a beat to it maybe make it have a more menacing tone
Fucking love the detail of Rathalos and rathian sharing eye contact while still charging forward. With the clear sense of speedthat the composition has along with the way its done, it feels like a shared glance, taking just a moment to look to their partner reveling in the chance to fight together, right before crashing headlong into the enemy line.
I somehow ended up downloading this game's demo, then immediately buying Miitopia. Now that I've actually tried the Demo out, I've come to a decision: *I MADE A HORRIBLE MISTAKE*
Mew-TubeHK I played both Demos as well as bought both games. And BOTH don't really do anything for me beyond the first area for very similar reasons. The story takes a backseat, the soundtracks quality declones with other battle themes and the repetitiveness of the battle system becomes more and more apparent.
I've never played this game and i chose a random piece and it brought me here. I have to say that this track is incredible ! I can feel the game even though i'm stranger to this, such a beautiful thing !
This music has kept me addicted to Monster Hunter Story 1's demo i dont have the actual game. only the demo. and i dont care, When you love the demo so much and you dont care about the full game, that's when you KNOW you've made a masterpiece gameloop.
And seriously gotta apreciate how great the cinematics look for a 3ds game wich, to me, is one of the better things in stories 1. Especially the introduction to the final boss.
