My first mh was unite in psp and every time i hear it, it takes me back and the feeling of nostalgic and home. That’s the best way to describe it for me
The monster hunter tri hits the hardest since it was my first monster hunter. Can’t get myself to play it again tho since hunts take much longer in the old gen since monsters weren’t scaled. Don’t have enough time. Played FU for prob more than 1k hours since it was my first game with G rank so that theme also hit hard. Basically first 2 monster hunter games
I miss those long hunts and u cant even restock inside a quest. I have to min max everytime i do quest because bow is really shit that it takes me 45mins to 50mins (most of the time i get final 30s to finish a hunt) compared to other weapon that only takes 30mins average
Pokke is timeless. Moga is a classic. Kokoto is nostalgic. Yukumo is serene. Really wish they revisit underwater combat now that the tech has improved significantly to allow for more fluid 3d combat/ verticality.
Something about seliana’s theme that just evokes every emotion in you, you always feel it the hardest when you come back after a long time, it’s really nostalgic even though the game is very recent.
In descending order I have spent the most time in monster hunter world’s village, tri’s village, and the least amount in Rise, but rise sticks out the most to me. It’s not to say that the others are bad or anything like that, I am just more inclined to randomly get that one stuck in my head 😂
I like comparison between Pokke Village and Astera. One is a sleepy village high in the mountains, other is a busy headquarters. And their themes reflect that
I really liked that they started adding vocals in Rise. It really added to the atmosphere of Kamura village, and Allmother Narwa's theme still sends chills down my spine.
I played a lot of MH games but I really loved Astera theme it felt like we going on an adventure. Not to mention the place is fking big for no reason lmao.
Been playing MHP3rd for so long I can recognize Yukumo Village theme in a single note... miss my old home and the eggs sometimes. Brief it may be my time with 4U, but Cathar really felt like a damn nice village to live in. And I'm sad it wasn't here.
In my opinion, I love 4U and think it's the best, but Tri still has the best atmosphere by far. There is something inherently cozy about the village and it's theme that makes me feel happy while listening to it.
While 3U definitely took Tri to extraordinary new heights it unfortunately came at the cost of the comfort of Moga and the sheer majesty of Loc Lac. Even after playing World and Rise, dlcs and all...the hub worlds still just don't hit quite as nicely as Loc Lac did. Something about seeing the sandstorm whip up and running into the nearest lobby to arm wrestle with a fellow hunter in preparation of the big sand whaling is just irreplaceable.
Bherna village will always be important to me. Generations was my first Monster Hunter game, and so Bherna holds an incredibly nostalgic place in my heart. I hope a few gens down the line we’ll get a generations 2 of sorts, another stupidly huge monhun that pays homage to everything before it, and I hope that includes a returning Bherna
