Dont forget that chest cavity/ribs contraption that looks like a pulsating heart on the hammer as well. I really love that the Capcom team is reaching for all kinds of things in their long standing generational bag for this game. Concepts, moves, and potential returning armor/weapon sets all being thrown into the mix should make for an awesome time!

4:41 This attack is based on the Spinning Bludgeon: Charge switch skill from Sunbreak. You charge your hammer during the first three swings and then follow up with a charged attack. They changed it so the follow up transition is now seamless, which makes it look like Spinning Meteor.

another possibility is they just didn't want to showcase a move on a helpless knocked down monster, got too tired trying to capture a full big bang on an active monster which is almost impossible to perform and just turned on the godmode. I think having hyperarmor on a high-damage on-demand move is a bit too much and I'm not sure that flinch free would do much for this attack, looks like a fairly big hit... but who knows.

The armor set gives Ludroth vibes. I know Purple Ludroth was a thing but I can't remember for the life of me what its armour looked like. Part of me feels like it was just the ordinary ludroth armour but purple so this could be a rework. I can't think of another monster armor from the top of my head that has the puffy segmented sections.

I doubt they'll show off subspecies as an early game monster. Usually all armor sets and weapons in demo videos are obtained fairly early into low rank.

Parry is currently the absolute best thing they could add to all Blademaster weapons. As a diehard LS main since it was added in Freedom, I can promise you this will expand player weapon choice and promote variety. Before they added the counters to LS I used a decent variety of weapons in the pre-World games (DB’s, Lance, Hammer, etc.) But once they added the counter I stopped using other weapons because it became very addicting. I truly believe that counter is what 90% of us LS mains are addicted to. I’m calling it now, we’re gonna see a lot more player variety in this game.

I wonder if the armor is a new poison Amphibious Monster armor set. Like a poison dart frog. If you look at the male armors collar, it looks like an air nozzle is on it, so it reads more inflated like a life vest from a plane, more then a puffy jacket.

3:50 That to me looks like a golf swing you can access straight from charging, which would be huge. Especially if it doubles as a counter. This + keeping sway makes me more excited to main hammer than ever

I wonder if we're going to get a crow like monster, the hammer theme is plague doctor, which is usually associated with crows, the poison also reminds me of Fumebeak from Wild Hearts, maybe some inspiration from that game is here

The armor set has a chameleos/purple gypceros color scheme, but with the mad scientist elements of khezu… i am curious if we will get to see a new bird wyvern a la qurupeco but with a spooky swamp vibe 🤔 I am also reminded of the Cawscythe longsword, so I wonder if we will discover a slightly more “fresh” bird specimen…

A Hammer perfect guard strike is exactly the final touch that a BUNCH of MHW clips would need. Imagine the sheer satisfaction of landing a perfect guard on a charging Tigrex or a divebombing Bazel.

You know if they have mode like raid with 2 party, each party has 4 member. Can matched randomly like SOS or make a lobby. Each party can only die 3 times like it used too . If 1 party fail the mission (alr die 3 times) that party can quit or waiting for the other party kill the monster the fail party only get 10% of the loot.

intrigued by the guard point they're putting on hammer and big bang hyperarmor, but a lot of these changes feel less flashy than some of the stuff other weapons are getting. I mean, just look at that little dance you can do with the hunting horn!!! how can you not want to main hunting horn this time around

Isn't that "Counter" mechanic essentially what we could do at Devil May Cry 5? That's cool. I'm wondering if this mechanic will only be exclusive to heavy weapons, you know, since it would actually be more realistic to counter a "large monster" with a big weapon than with the overly small Dual Blades. Also, I'm imagining here, that "dash while charging" would be sick on Greatsword, but I simply can't seem think of it as realistic unfortunately.

it better not be (i have personal reasons as to why, so i won't say). if they're showing cool armour sets in their weapons showcases, then i expect the SnS video to do the same. i've already seen the "basic" one in the Focus Mode/Basic Mechanics trailer; i want to see a diffeernt one - and it better look good.

I'm glad at all these QoL and reworked changes. I hated the hammer in RIse. The stancing bullshit confused the hell out of me, and I did not use HAM as much I did.
