one thing that people forget is that palicoes were always able to talk, you can read what they say in textboxes in past games and during quests too, but in-game you can only hear them make normal cat noises. It is now that the devs decided to finally swap the cat noises for voice acting.
I bet you’ll be able to customize their voice as well, since both the hunter and palico get full voice casting. I agree I’m not a big fan of the one in the trailer but I bet there will be more options when the game comes out

Frontier dash great sword attack, great desert biome, no flagship? Monster appearance, weapon switch, mount get up when knock-out, and anti pin great sword block or hold em monster for the other hunter to attack. We are FEASTING and it's not over yet 🎉🎉🎉

I’m glad they brought back the arm crossbow for environment manipulation, since I missed causing “accidents” like in World. Loved that they gave the smaller monsters opportunity to participate in turf wars (I just hope they actually happen this time because Rise had turf wars happen so rarely they might as well have not even been there). Also having a raptor dinosaur as your mount is the perfect addition and I love whoever it was who added that. If the crocodile-toad and lion-bear thing were any indication I hope this means there’ll be more monster variety that isn’t just flying and brute wyverns (would love a stegosaurus-like beast that’s treated as a legit hunt instead of being a lemming like the Apceros). The added weather affects for the zones gives me more reason to prefer the biome hubs over the push for “open world”. I’d rather take highly detailed, packed hubs that are unique to themselves than having the game strain itself with trying to render an empty open world with little personality. Overall I like what I see and look forward to seeing what else has been improved upon. Just please God no more slap-dashed design nonsense on the weapons and (unpopular opinion I know) avoid repeating the utter slog that was Behemoth and Leshen.
I can't wait. aaaa Calling it now. OP weapon combo: Hunting Horn to self-buff the stamina for Bow (or other stamina-based weapons). I just hope that the Bow artillery attack aren't buffs, like in Rise, and are reverted back to being attacks.
We have had PLENTY of weather changes, but most noticeably night and day (desert, cold drinks for day, hot for night, and rain in the jungle). But changing real seasons seems to be an OG MonHun thing, as in first two gens... back then, certain monsters couldn't even be hunted depending on season, hinting at migration patterns.
Pretty sure the theory is Gemma is the “Little miss forge” girl from the 4U crew seeing as how her Coat here looks similar to the Caravaneers their both blondes, both have goggles, both are the main smithies idk would be cool to bring in the 4u crew seeing as how the “Ace cadet” was in world
I am pumped for this game, also if you didn't know. our characters we play will have actual voices and full on dialogue. im so getting this on xbox, ps5 and pc cause i wanna get a ps5 an get this on there.
btw the devs and producers said they'll be releasing a new trailer aside from this. it is also speculated that: - The Guild Master is Ace Lancer from MH4 - Gemma, the blonde, the new smithy might be Little Miss Forge from MH4

I swear the blond girl is the forge girl from Harth in 4u because: the goggles, the hair, thr FUCKING JACKET IS THE CARAVANIER JACKET + Kut-Ku plush made by Sophia And the big Guild guy is very likely the Lance Ace from 4u because same face and exact same hair

During the scene where the fanged beasts are chasing the hunter through the storm and get caught in a sand trap., there’s a serpent type monster wrapping around the bear. Right after that, it shows the bear throwing the serpent over its shoulder at the hunter. Then it pans to the hunter and shows the serpent monster bouncing in the background. It has a long neck and four legs. New leviathan?

Would love to see them add that yeah! The weather changed in previous games due to Elder Dragons but imagine if it actually brings harm to the hunter now 👀
