I cant lie, i hope gathering hubs return, as in, everyone can goto the gathering hub and its there where you can load into someone else's instance, i just liked having a place where i can see everyone that its my lobby
@@SomaUlte it could be a gathering hub like in world, everyone has a shared gathering hub but separate instance of seliana, then you could meet people there and join their instance of the open world... one can dream i guess
@@SomaUlte Where are people getting the idea that it's open world instead of just interconnected locales? That was never confirmed. And even then this doesn't imply there won't be a hub
@@distion If you watched the demo videos you would know that going and leaving the base camp and also the abandoned village is seamless. Looks like we only getting 4 player sessions like rise.
The only direct improvements 5P made was the more in-depth Hunter Notes and a better training area. Everything else they added took away from important aspects of MH.
People complained about the graphics? It looks amazing, I think people are only complaining because most of the gameplay we see is in a desert area, which really doesn’t allow the colours to pop
Agreed, this game could have the same graphics of World and I'd still be awestruck. I can not wait to get my hands on the demo whenever they decide to let us all try it out
@@yabiochya Yes they're ports (mostly) but on pc you can decide video settings and the maximum detail is always way higher than what you get on console.
Yeah. That's so annoying. They could've just play the cutscene on all the players. Also allow skip for the love of. We can always just rewatch the cutscenes anyway.
I love the videos where you guys chat together. Me and my buddy are going to put another 1,000 hours into this, like we did with World and Rise. I'm really looking forward to this.
everything about this game looks absolutely incredible, my only "concern" would be that farming monsters for something like a mantle would be a lot tougher. i put the word "concern" in quotes, though, because the upgrade to the ecology in the world pretty much makes up for it. oh my goodness this world looks good.
From footage I’ve seen. You get a part from popping wounds, at least the first one. Then you also get it from breaking parts. Add the rewards from completion. I feel like we might get parts easier than the previous games.
@@alexanderlemos3667which means they probably increased the amount of resources needed for certain things to compensate, in all seriousness it’s probably going to be similar to World. They won’t allow “the grind” to be vastly different unless they want too and they would likely make a point to mention that if so.
I actually liked rise's combat, though I wish it was a little bit harder because right now support builds are mostly irrelevant. I liked running hunting horn with support builds in world as a solo queue player because it dramatically increased the success of the hunts.
Art style beats 'muh graphics' any day Rise would've looked just as good as World if they just made it more saturated and less washed out. The main thing Rise lacks graphically is colour vibrance
We must remember that MH titles start out easy in comparison to what they eventually demand in G/Master Rank. Being able to sharpen and chug potions safely on a siekret may seem strong in the open world, but MH titles tend to also have event quests in, essentially, arena type environments where mounts and other help may not be available.
The graphics topic is so strange to me for this game. It has a lot more style than just generically good graphics, and it also has a lot more color which is something MHW world lacked in my opinion. Colors popping is a pretty big staple of monster hunter I feel, along with a more light-hearted tone and homey vibes in towns. (Supy in sunbreak comes to mind seeing all the NPCs interacting with him. I love that stuff). It's the whole thing of people worry about performance but they want the BEST GRAPHICS EVER. Choose one lol
I'd rather have performance with a nice art style than washed out 8K realism. I already know what my pores look like in real life. Don't need a reminder constantly in game.
@alllbw Tri was pretty colorful. But that's also because it was tropical. 4 was also pretty vibrant, and similar to GU in looks. The first 2 generations were very gritty but we kinda moved away from that with time.
thats why I like calling it "Guiding lands Dos" its the open huntfest of the guiding lands, but it has the 'shifting weather" of Dos (but not as restrictive) adding in a splash of rise/frontier moves into the combat. I just know that the "wishlist" is gonna be even better used now that we can effectively just...stay out there until we get all our items we need.
Thanks for the impressions ! With semi-open world, I'm really waiting to see the new gigantic monsters/dragons. That's something that was awesome in World, following the magma one, discovering maps, etc.
If 75% of folks are picking performance it's odd that it seems consoles run rn at 30. Game doesn't look too different from world and that on a ps5 hits 60 so maybe it's the environmental effects and open world nature that make this fps lower. Really makes me wonder hard if pc is the move here because I'm so used to picking up a monster hunter physical copy it's almost tradition for me to
Uh it looks great and it’s not even optimized. Think you guys need to boot up world again. I just played world last night. Wilds looks leaps and bounds better than world. And assuming it won’t hit 60fps on ps5 at launch or shortly after with an update is crazy. I’ll save my money on a new PC until the games actually can’t run on what I currently have. I mean are graphics really that important? Its frame rate that matters and if they have a 60fps mode that’s all I care about
@@rickn6923 I don't think the game looks bad. I'm just saying it doesn't look so far ahead of worlds that 60fps shouldn't be the target. I'm excited nonetheless but want as smooth as experience as they can provide us even if it means turning down some of the effects
@@marvin8559 the problem here are physics and the wmergent gameplay, with all the things happening in a hunt the CPU can't keep up, and all of the consoles right now on the market are all CPU limited.
This is interesting that people don’t like the visuals The art direction reminds me of Prince of persia 2008 and i love it And i really like all the monsters designs and animations
I would say that the colour palette holds importance in MH at least. MH5P had good stylistic graphics, but the colours they chose were very washed out at times. Even when it didn’t suit the theme.
@13:00 That's cool that it's completely open world, but we better not have to chase down monsters across the entire map once they get injured enough lol
Monster have always had a set number of zones they can travel to. I imagine they won’t travel too far from their nest, so it won’t take too long for them to retreat.
No, we console players are not used to 30fps anymore As seen in the PS5 pro presentation, the vast majority of PS5 players have been using the 60fps performance mode. We expect 60 fps from our new games more than we expect ultrarealistic, ray traced graphics. I can play Wilds at 30 fps, but I deeply hope Wilds has a performance mode cuz if it doesn’t that feels like laziness
Much hype for Wilds! I am hoping it is released as what feels like a full game, however; which was my biggest issue with both World and Rise. I recently started replaying World (I originally got the PS4 Collectors Edition) after getting it along with Iceborne on PC, and actually been able to fully appreciate it now it feels like a fully-realised game, rather than a partially-released one. Also on the subject on music and atmosphere, I completely agree that's a great thing with the franchise. My favourite moment is probably still in Tri/3 Ultimate when fighting Caedeus, when you get the phase transition, with the music changing from really serene, then you get the murmuring during the cutscene as the really epic (and one of my all-time favourite monster themes) Moonquake kicks in. A big fan of a good leitmotif in gaming soundtracks, and Tri did that really well!
Not sure if I missed you guys explaining it, But with the change in the eco for over hunting or collecting does it go back after not playing in that specific area after a while?
The game looks sick and beautiful and full of life & details everywhere . How can someone say this doesnt look good ??! 😮 . Really excited about this new MH game . Waiting for more infos about it on TGS24
I'm just hoping the final release will have smooth framerates at locked settings. I'm not a fan of variable fps because I have pretty sensitive eyes, so it's uncomfortable if frames jump up and down a lot. But if it can stay smooth at 60, it's totally fine
Havent watched but my most important question is: will there be transmog type stuff for armor? I hate having to mismatch armor and look really fucking stupid becauze that combo is likely the best for that situation
Hey Arekkz. I have a lot of respect for your channel, but just as a bit of constructive criticism: Algorithm favored titles aside, wouldn't it be better to call this a first impressions? Or, if nothing else, simply a "gameplay review", Since you really only got an extremely small bit of the story and world under your belt. That aside I look forward to the rest of your wild's content!
I’ve been replaying world on pc having originally played on ps4. I think it looks incredible (except my character I’m terrible at making characters 😂). So I’m excited for how wilds looks.
Personally I think the Insect Glaive gameplay is looking awesome! I know some people are sad about losing some of the flying moves, but the ground gameplay looks immensely improved.
Is the weight still there? PLZ they have to bring back the heaviness of weapons when they had impact frames I don’t care about my lag💀I just want impact and weight of weapons. Not like rise where it’s just “smooth” I guess is the best I can explain it at
As someone who has modded both World and Rise, the code for MH games tends to be spaghetti. My partner likes to say that they were programmed by a bunch of catnip-drunk Felynes.
@@juliangrabowsky6418 You'd have to learn to work with models and meshes and all that, but the mods that people have done for Palamutes prove that this kind of thing is definitely possible, it might just be very time consuming.
I LOVE good graphics, that being said 60fps should be an industry standard at this point, having a game especially as big as mh wilds in 2025 release at 30fps is honestly kinda unacceptable imo
17:11 Maybe it's just me but I've always enjoyed the downtime between hunts. It's nice to be able to relax for a bit, check out other player's armor sets, or just fool around with arm wrestling or whatever. Honestly, getting rid of that is one of the things I'm most worried about in Wilds...
@@alakaspoon1458 NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I’m hoping not, that was the main reason us kinsect users were rulers of the skies!! That’s fucking WILD if that’s true. 💔 I’m still going to main that weapon it will just be little bit of a let down, because the game looks fantastic but maybe the new mechanics will make up for it, we’ll just have to wait to find out.
@@DoyleRules.The Insect Glaive was only made to be aerial focused in Gen 5. The purpose of it’s vault attack was just to allow for easier mounts in Gen 4, where both the weapon and the mount mechanic were added.
@@CuriosityMisledMe really? That’s interesting. I only played worlds, iceborne & rise I never played before then but thanks for the info, I loved it being aerial type weapon but I’m optimistic I’m still loving the gameplay and the way the game is shaped, plus they gave me a freaking RAPTOR “seikret” as an companion I couldn’t be more excited my favorite dinosaur of all times I’m already have it in my wishlist ready to preorder
Clunky would refer to unintentional or hardware limited movement. Paced is the more accurate term used to refer to intended slower movement for the sake of adding more weight and method to your inputs.
Honestly from seeing how many people complain about the randomized decos, and from forgetting randomized charms existed while playing Rise. (Always so far out of my mind I forget about it.) I'm hoping both are just craftable parts.
@@honeychonav4027 eh craftable makes them too easy. I think maybe 50% should be craftable and then the rarest are drops from end game fights. This keeps people doing those fights. I do agree that the amount of quests that drop said items should be more widely varied though
The last time I was really hyped for MH was with World. What I've seen so far already surpasses that hype and potentially could be the definitive MH game to play. I'm not saying that cause of hype but because they are addressing so many of the problems that I never thought I wanted to be fixed. For example - making expeditions a part of the quest loops, or automatically picking up breaks, and so much more.
It was originally about environmental story telling. Gen 5 made a shift, along with a lot of other mechanical changes that made it clear they don’t trust their current player base’s intelligence anymore.
im so hyped! i have world on both consoles, so i been doing a replay for fun XD idk what platform to get wilds on yet. i do plan on getting it again on pc whenever i get one.
@@CuriosityMisledMe same critter i think? im not sure i never played frontier i heard of it from a friend, from what i hear there's been multiple instances of super rare annoying to get to hunt and or mr locked monsters i think gold and silver have been two, and sometimes some versions of rejang.
It's not what most of us want to know because low and high rank are always easy, World was as easy as Rise if not easier. The only exception was village Rise which was an even easier lowrank
@@BBBerti .... By your own admission Rise was exceptionally easy, therefore Wilds' difficulty compared to Rise should give us some kind of indication of how hard it will be.
There’s no wirebug and no guardian armour (yet), so it’ll at least be more difficult than 5P. Only thing is, the SOS carry system is still in place, and they probably haven’t reverted adding MP to village quests. There’s also the matter of weapons being over-tuned. LS looks to be as per usual, still not sure if they finally removed KO from Bowgun sticky ammo either.
@@CuriosityMisledMe World has the guardian gear carry as well, I just ignore it. I'm concerned about how easy the game is terms of how easy the weapons are to deflect/counter everything and how hard and fast monsters hit.
I’m excited for the better story cause I always felt like this was the weakest link in the series. Like we need to know more about the world, politics, and each and every NPC we can encounter and interact with.
30 FPS is fine. All the OG hunters played on PSP or 3DS. Ever since World released all the people that couldn't be bothered with this game before have turned into weird people that act like they know more about the game and it's franchise than they actually do. Or acting like the games aren't good or playable unless they are on a brick console with 120 FPS, Super Ray-Tracing, Salt, and Pepper 😂 None of the real monster Hunter fans care about any of that stuff because it was never needed for us to enjoy this franchise or any aspect of it. The MHW players are so annoying 😅
I take offense to that! I'm a World player and I honestly did not mind capping Dragon's Dogma 2 at 30 fps! But to be fair, as long as you're paying for a full priced game. There are going to be people who expect said game to be up to industry standards. I felt like I got my money's worth. But a close friend of mine's argue'd that in the state of the game it was sold in. Since it ran steady at 30 fps, it really should've been sold as a $30-40 game. FPS honestly won't really matter to me, but performance issues will matter to folks who are expecting a game to run to a performance standard for the price they pay. Sides DD2 had issues with the game choking itself with it's npc system. So long as the game is as immersive as an experience and I get thousands of hours of content with my friends playing the game. I'll be as happy as any girl. I really look forward to learning about the monsters and the environment in world and getting my ass lost on the maps and amongst the creatures, and even learning about the natives and the endemic life~ Also to be fair. I run on an below standard laptop so I really don't care about things running at full 60 fps as I've had experiences playing ffxiv at 7fps on a potato laptop. (Glad I have more powerful rigs now. But fps isn't everything.) So take that back! XD Don't generalize us! XD
@@CuriosityMisledMe i used aerial for wings, pretty useful for that, i'm not complaining though it just seems weird to revert back, also triple buff is a non issue since focus mode can help with that along with few attacks
@@CuriosityMisledMe or longsword i guess, along with 30 different i-frame having attacks, massive damage and other things, yeah, glaive was a threat to ranged players
@@boythisgood9328Before Iceborne released most hunters I spoke to considered the Temporal to be cheesy. Something must’ve changed because pretty much everyone I see now is shamelessly using it off cooldown.
To be fair, I get both points about the graphic with the game, somewhat I am underwhelmed, somewhat I really enjoy the look of it and the depth. But it’s rather a very polished PS4 Pro game as a next gen PS5 showroom game. Also for example Dragons Dogma seems to look better. But overall, it is about the gameplay and to be fair, I liked the fast action paced game from Rise/Sunbreak a little more. The Weapons just felt less clunky, fast paced and more versatile as in World/Iceborne. So when they somewhat make the weapons have a great mix between both style I will be happy. What would really put the icing on the cake would be cross play and cross progression. So whether I want it to play at PC or at my PS5 I can just make my choice by availability. I can’t wait for it, or I can, they should release it when it’s bug free but overall, it is my most anticipated game right now.
The game does have cross-play, thank goodness. Finally, cross-play😂. Though I have no idea about cross-progression. I would assume not, but that would be a nice feature
In terms of story I'm hoping it's like Cyberpunk 2077. Lots of optional story elements that keep you coming back but ultimately not necessary for gameplay. I really love cyberpunk and the gameplay and I really think making those optional story elements will give people a reason to dive deeper into the story
i don't like monsters depleting because sometimes you need/want to farm certain monsters allot, and also late game me and the homies are going to kill every large monster around ad nausium in free roam, and i don't want every monster to be depleted X-X
@@CuriosityMisledMe hunting the same thing allot really isn't a burnout issue for me, not being able to hunt what i need to to finish my set, and having to wait would be.
@@skybladebloodheart4247 I just see it similar to seasons from Dos. There are just certain periods where things become unavailable, but other things that weren't available before now are. They could also work in the mechanic where if a monster is not showing up, then you would be able to sell their materials for a higher price due to scarcity. Also from Dos.
