This trailer alone was such a rollercoaster. I kept thinking things like “is that a palamute? No, it can’t be. Is that a greatsword? No way, there ain’t no way. Those big guys look like large monsters. Wait, is it actually…” and then, I saw the word capcom. Wow

For those who don't know, MH revolves on a 2 team setup. This IS the team that did World. So you know, 4yrs of dev at minimum. The Rise team will be working on their next iteration, which is always smaller, and plays with new gimmicks. This rotation has always been a more solid, more focused game.

I'm more hyped for this than I am GTA6. MHW was the most pure-fun I've ever had in a game, and definitely the game I've replayed the most, with co-op'ing several different people and just constantly restarting it.

Never played monster hunter until world. I kept seeing the video in the ps store over and over and it always looked meh. Desperate for something new I bought it one night and that shit took my life over lol. Had 600 hours in in like 4 months. I absolutely can't wait. I enjoyed rise but world was plain special.

Wait a second, the big guys are goss harag. Look at the attack patterns very closely. They have his arm swipe. And they can be on twos or fours, like goss. And the red face. Maybe they reduced him to the power of an early game monster because the climate of the region makes it impossible to form ice arm blades?

They're not, the face is very different. They might use the same attack patterns as Goss Harag but lack his icy arms gimmick However it's hard for me to get a good look at them so who am I to say.

Oh man, when I saw Ryozo Tsujimoto in the audience at the start of the awards I was expecting something Monster Hunter related. At the end I basically lost hope. And that is when they STRIKE. Even after expecting this announcement I was not ready.

@@husseinosman4342 there are two teams at MH right now. Sure the members are interchangeable, and the necessary people can move between teams, helping the title that's closer to launch. But this is definitely the team that made mhw. Rise team is probably busy with nintendo switch 2 devkit.

Rise is mad good, you should give it a try. While world has you track and gather before the fight, rise usually plops you right into the action, which I like.

Looks like mh is goin for open world. Notice how his mount have like a camping equipment? Maybe we can set up camp anywhere we want freely and maybe that’s when the quest timer starts. Like maybe the village hub now also belongs in the same area as the quest map and we just need to bring along our mount and decide where to set up our camp lol

Just watched the entire game awards. This was the best reveal ever. When I first saw the bird like creature I honestly thought it was a chocobo. I kept thinking oh maybe FF17. Then the more I watched it I was like like "that looks like a rathalos skin on the sword...nah can't be..." Soon as I saw "Capcom Presents" I screamed so loud. I knew exactly. About about to sink another 600 plus hours. Have a feeling capcom is going huge massive world with this game.

I absolutely love how the guys over at the monster hunter team are not afraid at trying something new and creative for their series, I only hope they continue improving their environmental and ecological details that world had onto this larger scale. This also probably means world was one of its kind, but the creative new steps they may take intrigues me more than if they simply and safely did a MHW 2 (which, if its still that, it wont be all bad anyways. I see this as a win-win) . Lets hope that the risk pays off, Hunters.

Don't worry, brother. There are no bad mh game. Sometimes they do controversial stuff like swimming in mh3, or hunter arts in gen, or wirebug in mhr, but none of the games ever fall into a bad game category. MH haven't slipped for 20 years. I don't expect it to do so in our lifetime.

Just in case others don’t know, They stopped giving the Monster Hunter games a numerical designation, but as main series game goes, World was Monster Hunter 5 and Wild will be Monster Hunter 6 Also, MHW 2 was Iceborne

I suck so bad at MH games, as I'm too much of a loner to squad up to hunt monsters but I can't deny how more impressive they get with every release. I started with Freedom Unite on the PSP and dang, what an evolution of the series since then.

I wouldn't say so. It looks more like they reevaluated what they could do with level design and opened a lot of things up (since the hardware doesn't need to restrict view so much to look good), threw in travel options that seem to have gotten their popularity from Breath of the Wild (the combination of climbing and gliding to open up exploring), added extreme dynamic weather (thunderstorms that affect gameplay?) and then went for some real gameplay innovation in the form of dense herds and stampedes.
