I’m pretty sure it’s confirmed that the elemental colorations are returning to the game. In the trailer they show off a fire Tigrex that has red stripes instead of its indigo coloration

I was actually really excited when I saw Odo on the announcement when I opened Now. He's tied with Tigrex for my second favorite. I then noticed the Jho in the background. I actually suspected the next update would have Jho after seeing it was called Vernal Invader, with vernal meaning either green or forest.

I really hope stories 2 and 1 sell well so we could mybe get a stories 3 or some sort of dlc that adds like a new weapon and a handful of monsters from rise into the game that'd be sick it's a pipe dream though but it'd be cool

I only played MH Stories 2 as I was never aware of it when the first game was released untill the 2nd one came out so I'm glad that it's getting an update release on Switch so that I can enjoy it even though I missed it at first

Funny enough I have been finally considering playing stories 1 and 2 since Wilds isnt coming out until next year. Im almost done with another game save for Worlds/Iceborne so seems like the perfect time. Good on you Capcom for keeping me entertained for almost a decade straight with MH, since Generations

the fact they announced stories one being rereleased on other consoles and switch made me go wtf isnt stories 2 on ps4 also then today boom we get it we get them as a dual buy also for ps4 as a bundle and the stories 1 rerelease is now having voice work added and stuff touched up is awesome good on capcom it isnt just a newer console release its updated and we get the second game on the new platform too so it matches up honestly the showcase today was epic the exoprimal one is insane given now you can streamline getting story unlocks do custom matches for content creators and a new pvp focused mode too im so fucking excited (also the new murasame beta looks like the fucking talgeese from gundam wing and gets a busted ultimate so fuck yes lets go) ontop if that akuma looks great the mega man collabs look good and overall capcom stays winning this year so far

Never played stories 1 and tried to like stories 2 but just couldn't. The problem was animation spam. Most attacks had long animation that were annoying after that certain point and your options were to speed up the animations and I think turn them off (can't recall) But the issue was that the animations were most compelling part of the combat. Most of combat was charging and managing bars and such to unleash the animated attacks. So any given action was kinda dull. Outside of combat was good loved the egg system, the dens, and the story was OK enough to keep going. A lot of modern turn based games seem like this now where they can't make combat engaging so they just give you a fast forward button.

at this rate that might be in the works if stories 1/2 sell well on playstation i can see them doing a port of gu maybe but anything like mhfu- 4u i doubt it at this point much as id love to see a patch or something bring older games back or allow save transfer to a new version if they rerelease given capcom id existing still we can hope and dream capcoms been pretty good lately about trying to preserve or renew legacy titles and parts of big ips id honestly say if nothing else they could just use gu as a base given all the old game assets and update gu to let u play all the old games story wise and just update/add some sets or monsters it mighta been missing which idk if it was missing any from the gens prior to it

I'm going to bring everyone's expectations down. The new monsters are more than likely just the elder dragons left out of the US plus maybe the ones in the sequel. This is the same series that had Raths take up most of the update spots in the sequel.
