I dont think it's a "greater threat" thing more like 'NEW THING MUST KILL' kinda like wild animals they see something new for the first time and want to try and kill it. All three of these monsters are hella territorial so it might be that as well.

That’s exactly what makes this series so lovable. All monster (Other than elders) have some kind of explanation, or grounded factor about them. Adds a lot to the series.

And according to the end credits Nergigante is basically like the Godzilla of Monster Hunter so it kind of fits.

Think of tigrex as a really fast, agile, and aggressive bulldozer; that's trying to spring clean a house as fast as possible. (hint: nothing gets cleaned. Everything just gets steamrolled and destroyed.)

I got into the series with World and have not seen any of the older games. I also didn't think Tigrex looked so tough (big/strong), but then he just bit that Radobaan to death like it was nothing, and I was like... Wow...

No that thing doesnt look like a rathalos at all. different head and bit different body type. Wyvern body types seem to be popular in this expansion.

If you want a game where you can fight with the monsters in Monster Hunter, they have a spinoff called Monster Hunter Stories where you can, but it's an rpg, and is only available on 3ds and mobile devices. It's real good, I recommend it to anybody who wants more games like Pokemon.

Elisium Darkstrike jho is a invader and beats Diablos. Unfortunately jho treats odogaron like a jagras in a turf war. Tigrex and odogaron tie cause their apex like how zinogre ties in his intro too diablos and rathalos.

The anniversary poster shows monsters that their either working on, or worked on. All the old folks popping up now were on it. No doubt they'll add laggy when they figure out water mechanics. Fatalis is almost guaranteed

​@@66666Ray Indeed, assuming they even add swimming. Could be similar to the og games with Plesioth (prior to 3rd gen) and you essentially had to wait for him to come out, or fish him out. The only time it swims could be to exit one area of the map to enter another, and you just have to find a way around. I personally would love swimming to make a return though. I was one of the weird few who actually enjoyed it in 3/3U once I got used to it - and yeah of course it was uncomfortable at first, tankish controls underwater and so on - but I still really enjoyed it. I always love the beauty of underwater environments as well, it's essentially the closest humans have to flying without a plane or whatever, you know what I mean. Fighting Ceadeus was breathtaking to me. So I can only imagine how gorgeous it would be in World.
