So, not only did you win with your first monster, but you also built the Zuum as an int attacker, which I'm pretty sure it doesn't normally do. You're a madman and have a new subscriber.
Believe it or not, I initially trained this Zuum to be a Pow attacker, but switched to training Int after reaching A-class because I wanted to get good items from expeditions. That's why it has Pow type tech chain moves like Tail Lash and Million Bites, but no Int type tech chain moves.
I fed him a Golden Peach (adds 50 weeks of life) and a Silver Peach (adds 25 weeks of life). I also fed him Mint Leaves when training him to relieve stress.
This was my all time favorite game as a kid it is really nice to see someone that took it the same lvl that I did :DMy favorite creature type was arrowhead just loved most of his attacks :D
This is what I like about Zuum's highly adaptive stats. You can train it to an agile flame spitting machine. Or you can also train it to be a heavy hitting beast hard as a rock.
@TheScathed I had to balance training and battling. I trained him until he can easily beat low level battles and gain money from those battles. Rank B was where I earned most of my money.
I never let my monster get stressed out or get too tired because those 2 things decrease a monster's lifespan. Feed your monster Mint Leaf when before it gets stressed out and give it Nuts Oil or Rest when it's tired. Mocks have the longest lifespan in the game, but their stat gain sucks, I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to get a monster with high stats.. You can use exactly 1 Gold Peach (+50 weeks) and 1 Silver Peach (+25 weeks) on one monster, can't feed them more than that.
@nickwhiterhino I'm not sure about that. I think losing a tournament makes your monster relieve less stress compared to if your monster wins the tournament.
@teawch I think your right when it does relieve stress more when a battle is won. And I think fatigue is less when you win a battle than doing O.K. and not doing good.
I trained a max speed monster, but Zelandia hit trample twice in a row and again when i reloaded at less than 10 percent maybe around 3-2. Any idea why game does this?
RNG (random number generator) doing it's work there. Less than 10% chance doesn't mean it can't hit Also, if you're using an emulator and saved right before Zelandia hit your monster with trample, it will always hit because when you load from a save state, it will use the same random number that's generated when you saved
@VelociPickford about that... Yes, I do have 2 monsters, but I haven't started training the other one yet. The number of Wins, Loses, and KOs that I had were exactly the same as my Zuum's Wins, Loses, and KOs.
Thanks Great zuum at the time assuming you probably mixed it and stopped playing by now :P my zuum dont have nearly that stats with 300 across the board only on the up side it managed to get to rank S somehow before i retired it
You can get Silver Peach from winning the Elder's cup, only monsters that are 6 years 3 months or older can participate I guess when I did the Greatest 4, I haven't fed him the Silver Peach yet.
I would say you need a lot of effort and patience to raise a Mock... I've never successfully raised one before. If you want a monster that would end up having high stats, I would recommend: Zuum, Tiger, Jell, and Arrowhead
@nickwhiterhino Stressed out, not learning a technique in errantry, losing a tournament, failing a drill, being injured, cheating on a drill... these things prevent monsters from gaining high stats.
@VelociPickford I trained mine using the guide from Kurasu on gamefaqs. The most efficient method is to always use items (if you have the money for it). I use Mint Leaf to keep my monster from getting stressed out and Nuts Oil to keep my monster from getting tired. If you balance those out well, you can train your monster without resting (except for after errantry).
Could you recommend a go psx emulator? Not only for mr2 but for mr4 aswell. This is kinda what brought me to gaming and it brings back alot of memories.
Im playing now on android phone, using ps1 emulator, had my durahan 7.2 yrs, but not yet feed with gold peach, pow,def already max,life,800plus,ski almost 900,but low on spd and int :(
I recommend reading KurasuSoratobu's guide on Gamefaqs (Google "Monster Rancher 2 guide," it should be the 1st link), following the Moneymaker method and switching to the Breeder method when I reached 20,000 G. Here is a brief summary of what I did (which you may or may not understand): In the baby stage, feed it Milk every month and train Light Drill (1st week) / Light Drill (2nd week) / Light Drill (3rd week) / Rest (4th week). For items, give it / Mango / Mint Leaf / . For Zuum, I focused on training Skill, then Power (at the start of the game, and started training other stats after I reached Rank B). The items are really important, Mango (or Nuts Oil if you can afford it) keeps your monster from being tired and Mint Leaf keeps it from being stressed out. Send it on battles when you have a chance and make sure you win the tournament (I save before going to battle and re-load the game if I don't win). Once your monster grows up, feed it Tablets, train Hard Drill / Light Drill / Hard Drill / Light Drill, and give it Nuts Oil / Mint Leaf / Nuts Oil / Mint Leaf. Keep sending it to Battle since that's the only way you will make money from this item intensive training. Before sending it on errantry, make sure to give it Mint Leaf on the 4th week, let it rest, feed it Tablet, and send it on the 1st week of the month. Make sure it learns a move (reset the game if it doesn't), when it comes back, feed it Tablets, give it Mint Leaf and let it rest, and give it Nuts Oil the week after.
Im so happy you responded to me!!! Im going to use this strat, also.. When i used to play this game (Im going to start again on my computer) I used to make every Nature of my monsters "Best" and weight at "Normal" But I noticed yours being a Skinny monster..any insight to this? Some sort of strat? 2nd Monster on RU-vid that i watched that was Skinny.
ChangT7 My monster is skinny because I train it without resting. According to some guides (I'm not sure if this is true or not), skinny monsters tend to get hit less in battle, but take more damage while plump monsters tend to get hit more, but don't take as much damage. Monsters with "Best"/"Good" nature have the "Power" battle special (Deal 2x damage when triggered) tend to do "Great" in training. On the other hand, monsters with "Worst"/"Bad" nature have the "Anger" battle special (Faster guts regen when triggered) and tend to "Cheat" in training. Praising your monster when it does Great and scolding it when it Cheats makes it good-natured. Doing the opposite makes it bad-natured. Some techniques can only be learned when the monster is "Good"/"Best" natured (ex. Charge) while some can only be learned when the monster is bad natured (ex. Dust cloud). That aside, what you should be paying attention to is the Style of your monster (you should keep it "Normal" or "Soft" to avoid spoiling or making your monster dislike you); this can be done by praising or scolding your monster at the right times. This is not always true, but you want to praise it when the style is "Normal" or "Strict" and scold it when the style is "Soft" or "Fond"
ChangT7 Don't know if you're still interested, but here's a video of my training method: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ogJvsXA6UpI.html Instead of training Power like in that video, I trained Intelligence for this one
@@teawch just clarify did you really mean dodge or is it leap? just asking because your pattern is usually hard/light/hard/light. dodge is a light drill so the deviation is confusing me.
@@teawch thanks for the quick reply man, been raising an INT type mocchi and its coming along great thank to you, just disappoint on how sucky the movepool is, mocchi ray is the only decent move it has, a power mocchi might be better but i need an expedition monster lmao. the work you have done is very appreciated. I hope one day the remake the games and improve upon it. probably wont happen but a guy can dream. More power to you man!
seeing how smart that monster is, i play a invoker soundboard when ever he wins. and its awesome!!!! (invoker is from dota and dota 2. if you want to try it with me. go on dota2wiki and click on invoker, then responses)
