After getting stuck in renovation after renovation, this Monstera deliciosa needs a little TLC. I mean-we're all feeling summer setting in-so a little spritz, a little fertilizer, a little potting medium refresh and even a new pot will do this plant good!
Special thanks to ‪@EspomaOrganic‬ for partnering with us on this video.
We're featuring:
- Espoma indoor potting medium - amzn.to/4ckim7k
- Espoma indoor plant fertilizer - amzn.to/3KDathI

Lol...we had two rescue doves who did the same thing. Mr. & Mrs. Howell. Then one day there were two eggs in the hanging plant. Only one egg hatched and Gilligan arrived.

I have a forest of Monstera in my patio, they are gigantic! In Buenos Aires I can have them outside and they get huge and even have flowers and fruit. Never tried to eat it tho.

Neem oil is a great leaf shine with the benefit of bug protection too!

A friend of mine from Paris moved from Paris to Belgium... she had a very big Monstera Deliciosa. It was way too big for her new home. She gave the plant to me. I moved it in a skate board to the hotel I work . The Monstera was very happy there. But hotelguests constantly touched and damaged the nice big leaves. It became also very big and high. The plant moved to a conservatory to heal from all the touchy people. Hopefully the Monstera will recover.

I feel your pain, just finished renovating and am doing exactly the same spa to my ficus plants so it was a real pleasure watching this video (as every other one before and future) and learned about the leaf shine, yay! So thanks a million, both your channels are absolutely fantastic! Greetings from southern Massachusetts..

I've been using a 'Zero water' water filter now for over a year to water my carnivorous plants and to filter water for my 10gallon shrimp aquarium. I just replaced the filter last week. It's cheaper than buying distilled water or investing in an RO system. Though, an RO is probably better and easier. Anyways, given that my carnivorous plants are thriving, I'd say it's a good alternative

During our apartment renovation, we made a large plastic tent for the plants reaching from the window to the ceiling to the floor and nearby walls and tried to make it tied well so that min. dust gets in. It didn´t help as much as I hoped to increase the humidity, but it protected the plants well from at least some of the dust and dirt and no damage to plants was done. It was actually our contractor´s idea :-) I think if it was even better sealed on its edges, it would do even a better job - so perhaps next time 🙂

I use collected rain water to water my plants. But to clean the big ones, I pop them in the shower and use the hand held shower head to clean tops and undersides of the leaves, about every 4 months.

DO NOT USE MAYONAISE AND WATER as a a leaf shine. She has mentioned this before in another house tour. The mayonaise turns rancid and sticky and filled with dust. It is impossible to clean. I made this mistake after her other video. It took me 4 washes of every single leaf (hundreds!) with a dishsoap and water solution to clean my one large fiddle leaf fig after following this bad advice.

i’m poor. I don’t even know a property to renovate. And the landlord that I have had are shitty. They definitely could’ve used renovation though.😂

Whan I was little, we used to have a monstera in the corner of our living room and the aerial roots lifted up several pieces of our parket floor. It's a powerful plant! 🪴❤
