Alta Montana is one of the most or should I say the best five star boots in all of the world . You can't go wrong with their choice of skin. I have a 30-year pair that I treat on a regular basis and every time I wear them they think they're brand new

That was excellent. Howdy from Australia. I have a pair of ancient Ant Eater boots (Tony Lama ) that need help. Can you please advise?

If you use shoe shapers ,the polishing would be great.

Does lizard has a bigger chance of cracking at the flexible joints then alligator skin? I prefer the look of lizard but if alligator skin is more durable, I would go for that. I can’t find that information anywhere. Would really appreciate your opinion.

Yes lizard skin is thinner but it also depends on how well you treat and condition it. I’ve had pairs come through the shop that were 30 years old and look great and pairs that are only a few years old that look like they should just be given up on. So just comes down to how well you treat them

I just got a new pair of lizards I've conditioned with bickmore exotic but they still crackle is this normal for new lizzard boots?

How often do you wear? I have a pair of lizards, I use the Bickmore exotic once every 2 months. Small crack just developed on the right boot recently. Wear 3-4 times a week for almost one year.

For your case I would put the color of the boot cream on first rub it down into the skin cloth lightly buff it out and see how that helps you and then periodically after that put the reptile condition on

Can a roper heal be used to replace a cowboy boot style heal?

Somewhat. There are limits on the height though

How about using saddle soap to clean lizard?
@CobblersPlus
@CobblersPlus 4 года назад
I’m more worried with the silicone in the saddle soap now coming off all the way then drying out the spot to much

Maybe I missed it, but what’s your recommendation on the frequency of conditioning lizard boots?
@CobblersPlus
@CobblersPlus 4 года назад
About once a month depending how often you wear them is ideal

I think that you should condition your boots as often as you feel the lizard skin telling you you should condition it but make no doubt put shoe trees or shapers inside the boot.

Can Saphir dyes be used on lizard skin if too harsh of a cleaner was used and removed some dye off the skin?
@CobblersPlus
@CobblersPlus 4 года назад
It can but exotics take a lot of extra steps to dye and is a long process
@bluegrasskid4835
@bluegrasskid4835 4 года назад
@@CobblersPlus I assume those steps are just repeating by adding the dye over and over again?
