I'm a massive Queen fan and loved Freddie mercury, so when I went to see Queen and Adam Lambert in concert a couple of years ago I thought Adam wouldn't be as amazing as Freddie but wow I was wrong he was amazing 🤩 ( still love freddie)
I've watched this performance countless times but when it gets to that phrase "I don't need you any more", I always tear up a little bit. Adam Lambert is an incredible vocalist.
he's intensely talented but the earpiece is not like God on the other end lol A lot of singers start out using them and mid-song find them to be more annoying than anything. Not saying this performance wasn't one of the best just saying it wasn't about him taking out that earpiece lol
Did you know that 24 hours prior to that performance he was performing live in the UK at the Strictly Come Ballroom finale?? He jetted back here, got little or no sleep and performed like that. He is astonishing. Now ask me about his song Lay Me Down with Avicii and Nile Rogers [even more amazing than this!!]

@@jessa9877 Dimasch has a longer vocal range but he uses more FALSETTO on high notes and Adam Lambert has a longer range using full voice. Adam has a better vocal skill and technique than Dimasch.

Adam Lambert is SO underrated as a vocalist and I can actually get mad about that. He is so relevant to music today and so many are caught up in the Adam vs Freddie debate that they are losing sight of what is right in front of them and that is one of the very top male vocalists of this generation. The guy can sing and he can sing anything, he can rearrange any piece of music to get a response from you, he has wonderful songs as a solo artist and last, but not least, he is the frontman for Queen (yes, I just said that.) How many more examples of him do you need to realize that he is SO important to the music industry today? If you search for reactions to Adam with Queen you find very few of them and that is because people that react to videos do not want to upset the diehard Freddie and Queen music fans. I grew up with Freddie and Queen and if I can be open minded to Adam with Queen, well I think we all need to really consider what Freddie himself said regarding Queen Music(if he is gone), I don’t care, just as long as it isn’t F’N boring. And Queen + Adam Lambert is NOT boring. He is so respectful of Freddie and the Queen legacy with Freddie. We all need to realize that he has allowed Queen music to carry to another generation, which is part of their ongoing Legacy. And he does his Solo stuff in between. I believe Freddie is looking down with approval and is getting a kick of seeing Brian and Roger still rocking it out to huge crowds with this sweet boy with a beautiful voice that can actually sing their songs. Agree with everything you said, people like to make out that Adam is lucky he got to be front man for Queen but I say it is Queen that got lucky. Adam Lambert for me is the single greatest male vocalist of his generation and no one will ever change my mind. He is a phenomenal artist.
Adam Lambert is just total perfection. I have watched him grow into the most wonderful performer. Nobody could sing Freddie Mercury songs any better, other than the brilliant Freddie himself. I think a part of darling Freddie must have slipped into Adam when the beautiful man died. I love Freddie ...... I love Adam ..... what talent we are lucky enough to be able to witness.
Not only is he an amazingly talented performer he's seems like such a genuinely nice guy. He's as humble now as when we first saw him on American Idol.

Their tours have sold 96%, 94%, and 99.4% in huge venues, grossed over $150 million, gotten RAVE reviews, and demand is so high they keep adding tours. Taylor Hawkins said in the documentary that they are bigger then ever. People who are secure with Freddie wouldn't need troll every Adam video to put him down to try to elevate Freddie. Typical bully mentality.
Adam is an amazing vocalist. Brian May & Roger Tylor adore him. I’m so glad that Adam is the frontman for Queen, he brings in a younger audience who get to fall in love with the band the same way we all fell in love with Queen when Freddy was alive!!
I loved this performance! I love Adam. Ever since i 1st saw him on American Idol. His voice is absolutely amazing. Those breathes he does melt me lol he is such a good lookin man too. I also believe he will be iconic years to come.
Adam Lambert , Gift From God is simply amazing .He has the ability to take a song & interpret it in his own heartfelt way . This shows his emotional connections to the lyrics & does such beautiful music changes . He truly is THE VOICE !
I have watched several voice teachers/coaches react to this performance and every single one of them mentions his excellent tongue placement to maximize his sound. He places it forward which opens up the back of the throat. It's a technique that not all vocalists use or even achieve without looking strange. Now I can't stop watching his tongue! 👅
It's a brave thing when an artist re-imagines a performance, especially in front of the original singer. Turning this into a ballad about lost love was brilliant and speaks to the artistry of Adam. I would (and do) cry to this performance as it is utter perfection.
Adam Lambert sang a short version of that ballad cover of Believe on American Idol in 2009. He made the arrangement with the AI musical director Michael Orland. Fans were happy to finally hear a long version after waiting 10 years.
I was supposed to see him with queen two weeks ago and then again solo in september. Both cancelled due to the pandemic :( i was so looking forward to that, since i only really got into his music last yeat and... But oh well, better luck next year
Adam's got to be experienced live....he's unique. No wonder Queen travelled all the way to the USA to just meet him. Queen tour might never happen again, considering Brain's health scare. Adam's last solo tour was so good....fingers crossed he will tour again.

You have to check out the best vocalist from down under John Farnham singing the Beatles song "Help" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. His vocals are crazy and he's an entertainer, the way he interacts with the crowd is awesome. John Farnham is an Aussie icon.

He will be around for decades to come, and since he has a trained voice and takes good care of it, he is not going to lose his voice either, so I am looking forward to many more albums from him, as well as amazing performances, such as this one.

There is not ONE thing musical about Adam Lambert. Brian and Roger just wanted to perform again and I don't blame them for that, but their desire for performing has impaired their judgement. Adam Labert is the best example of someone, like you said, who has great vocal range, but who still cannot sing. This is why so many people are fooled. Like the American Idol slogan goes, something like "Stars aren't born there made" in other words these people don't have real talent!

You covered it beautifully and actually nailed the details of why this going to be one of the most watched videos of all time eventually. I have already commented on his official channel how I believe he hasn't even shown half of his potential as an artist.
