Monte Acuto Walk 

This was a failed attempt to get to the summit of Mount Acuto, here ( maps.app.goo.gl/ijF2EwqNeQADT... ) in Umbria. We set out on a lark because last night as we sat on the side veranda at the bar on the hill, there it was, this mountain in a very straight line behind the town of Agello.
There it was. So a little time with Google maps later, we left Pietrafitta at about 1:00, with a minimal pack. Just water really, and some stuff I had in the pack for gathering asparagus. The final climb is 400 meters vertical in about the last 2 km of a 2.6km walk. Trail was rugged enough.
So, at a certain point I said to Coco, that's all for now, and we turned around.
Great views from up there, real rugged country. I think this one though is an accident waiting to happen, a fall or a twisted ankle, so we'll prepare better next time and take a crew of 4.
