Looks great--love BB! Going to try mine plant-based as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid all the pesticides stored in animal fat. Thank you for sharing

Thank you for your comment! I'm from the US, and have avoided meats for many years, but I've retired to Italy, where the meat, all foods really, are tightly regulated. Here's a good overview: italianviaggio.com/eating-in-italy-how-safe-is-it-to-consume-food/ I think you can expand out by playing with the beans you choose. I tried several available types before settling on these "bianca di spagna" ones. If I were in the US, I'd start with butter beans I think. I'm on a mission to incorporate garbanzos soon. You might use the layering method to separate types of beans. If you go that way, it will be interesting to see what you come up with for a vegetable equivalent of the "bacon bowl" I used. I also spiced the two bean layers slightly differently, although it was the same kind of bean. There might be some interesting things you can do there. Good luck with it, have fun, and please let me know where you go with it!

I hear you. And for the most part agree. But, I reckon in medieval times a stew might sit in a pot for a long time, so as the day went on might vary quite a bit.

Add the al dente pasta to the sauce and a ladle of the pasta water to thin it out and finish your dish. That's the italian method of cooking all pasta.
@TheGreenHeartofItaly-fl3wv
@TheGreenHeartofItaly-fl3wv 3 месяца назад
I should have thought of that, but I was in the thick of a situation. 😉 But not all Italian pasta is finished that way. Check out Assassins pasta from Bari.

Thank you! In the case of SPAGHETTI ALL’ASSASSINA, the pasta cooks completely in the sauce. My point was that finishing your pasta in this way infuses flavor in the pasta and the sauce can be thinned out to desired consistency with the pasta water@@TheGreenHeartofItaly-fl3wv

@@seantaylor2046Totally get that. And you can get a little de-glazing action. Some local (Umbrian) cooks do this with a little white wine and cook it out before you add the pasta water.

Thank you. The cream was a bit thick, I should have used "heavy cream" i.e. "panne fresca" not this stuff. I have to learn how to use it.

@@TheGreenHeartofItaly-fl3wv I had bought a lot of cream early for Christmas so I wouldn't run out and it turned out to be that really gloppy thick cream. I don't know where that stuff is coming from because I've never seen it like that before this year. I'm about ready to switch to half and half.

Hi, thanks for your video. I understand why it's bad, but why is it being done in the first place?

There are a number of woodworkers who use this method to make decorative patterns. And there do appear to be RU-vid clowns who have made these so called "Lichtenberg devices" just to get likes. There is even one guy building commercially available machines. I have asked him if his device has any agency (UL, etc) approvals and he has not answered. If you do a RU-vid search for "Lichtenberg fractal" you will see a few things. Also note at last count something like 30 people have electrocuted themselves following these RU-vid videos! The very unprofessional and "like seeking" armatures promoting this do a lousy job of explaining the details of the danger, so they leave people exposed by their own ignorance. Many of them poo-poo the dangers, and inadvertently create more interest. It's an ugly situation, sadly, the Darwin awards will end up sorting it out.

@@TheGreenHeartofItaly-fl3wv I see. Why is there a trend of referencing ground on the HV part of a transformer then? How does it supposedly make the device safer to use?
@TheGreenHeartofItaly-fl3wv
@TheGreenHeartofItaly-fl3wv 5 месяцев назад
@@user-yd6yu5oe7iFirst, and I apologize for being redundant, it is absolutely NOT safer to reference one side of the secondary to earth ground. Now, why? Ignorance basically. When the transformer is in the microwave enclosure it is in a controlled and well tested environment. It is actually safer IN THAT PARTICULAR ENVIRONMENT, to ground the secondary to the frame of the microwave. HOWEVER, when we take the transformer out of the microwave enclosure, all safety analysis goes out the window. AND, people have the basic idea that well grounded, "more grounded" is safer. BUT, they are not thinking it through. So please, the word "ignorant" is used several ways. I do not mean to be condescending or insulting. I am merely saying they just don't have as deep an understanding as is needed. So, what to do?? I tried a second and third video to show what is needed here. I'm not sure if it will sink in for many. All I can do is to communicate in the style I have. It would be very nice if others (who understand the fundamentals intimately) would make alternate presentations so the the real knowledge of the physics of this will sink in. And I think that would be a good thing.
