Wonderful to hear true history of Jefferson and accompanying stories of the enslaved people that lived their lives, most of whom died at this plantation. I was saddened to see none of them even received as much as a named head stone upon death and burial. Thank you for the accurate history. Wished I had learned as a youngster. Thank you.

This made me sad. Very sad. And mad. Thank you for providing the information. I pray that all of the enslaved people are resting in the peace they so rightly deserve. What a terrible "man" Thomas Jerfferson was; I have no words.

We always assume our founding fathers were all wealthy when they died. Learning that during Jefferson's life, he was in debt and even his slaves belonged to his debtors is a hidden fact of history. Every society has had slaves. That says a lot about humanity.

Hello, I would like to know if there is a family tree of the Hemings family, to find out how the surname arrived in Brazil. Thanks!
