In the 1960s my grandfather took me to the Inn. I had heard that it burned down, and had no idea that there is a new one! New bucket list experience: coming right up... 🦀 🦀 🦀
I ate at the San Jacinto Inn in the late 60’s - It was located next to the Battleship Texas when it was there. It was a family reunion dinner that included everything from Oysters on the half shell to Fried Chicken it was an amazing place but is now just a memory. The Monument Inn is equally amazing due to its location on the ship channel and the fantastic seafood and service with southern hospitality to boot!
