In this video we will share a comparison between the Mooer GE 250 and the Line 6 HX STOMP. Actually, I hope that this video will be useful for guitarists, who maybe want to buy a new amp modeling and multi effects pedalboard and are unsure which one to choose. Let me say that both the pedalboards are good options, but maybe one of them has that extra feature that better suite your needs…So, the arguments we will discuss together are: the technical differences between the two pedalboards, in terms for instance of in/out, sampling frequency and so on and so forth…Then we will better listen to the sound differences, that you are already hearing in the demo song…Finally I will give you my 2 cents. Preferred the stomp. I have many pedals and an HX effects. The stomp is pro gear. The Mooer is beginner gear

The Mooer sounds much better. HX sound is harsh to my ears.

I have both units, but the Mooer GE 250 ist more usable for me, espacialy for live using.

The Line6 Helix line (which includes HX Stomp and Stomp XL) has greatly improved amp tone ever since firmware update 3.50. I recently bought a Stomp XL partly because of this update. I intend to use the IR feature with an Epiphone Alex Lifeson Les Paul, which has piezo pickups under each saddle.

The distorted sounds of the Mooer sounded much better to me. Really killed the HX in NY opinion.

Not a single word about tone capture?! If this feature is working well, it could be the main attraction. In some moments I felt GE 250 sound better, in others Stomp was better. From other reviews of GE300 and GE250 (including yours) I think these pedalboards have a better dynamic than any other brought in comparison. My impression was that I can hear every pick's attack. On the other hand I felt Mooer has always too many harmonics, probably due the synthesis, but I think a cutoff from 4KHz and above could solve this, and as a result the sound would be more natural.

Leo I love your guitar playing and the way the comparison video is structured. I already have a GE200 and now thinking about getting a HX Stomp because of the smaller footprint. Your video helped a lot.
