Mooer Pitchbox Pitch Shifter Transpose Mode with Dale Harris, guitar.
Putting the Mooer Pitchbox through a Pitch Shift test; can it be used for drop tunings or as a substitute for a capo? We shall see. We devised a simple test to see how in-tune this pitch shifter effects pedal is from Mooer's Micro Pedal range.
Equipment used in this demo:
Squire Hank Marvin Stratocaster, The Gigrig Power supply, Mogami cables, Walrus Audio Mako ACS1 Amp Cab Sim.

Well, thanks for that. I have one of these on the way to try. Will be arriving in 2 weeks. I got it because sometimes i have to play some gigs with a singer that requires me to play multiple songs (that have open strings in the arrangement) half a step down. I have a whammy ricochet, but it can only do a full step. I'll actually test both a full step down with a tuner and compare. I'll be back later here with the results if you want it.

Yes, please do share your results. I have a strong hunch regarding the specifics of what factor is causing the pitching discrepancies. I might explain all in a video once I've conducted some research. Such information will be vital in choosing a pitch shifter for transposition. No wonder manufacturers keep such matters a secret because certain units would never be sold. I'm really disappointed with the manufacturers for this. Thanks for watching. Best regards, Dale Harris

Yes, bro. I will share it. The pedal arrived last week and i had a lot of work and a trip to plan for this weekend. So I'll be probably testing them by Monday. My plan is to test them separately, first in chain each, just the pedal and a tuner. Then I'll maybe record some audio to listen later and compare how many artifacts i can hear in the recorded sound. But the main test will probably be a band rehearsal Monday. If i get an acceptable result for live purposes I'll keep it. So next week I'll come back here and share my findings.

I did 2 tests. In The first one, i plugged each pedal directly into my interface and recorded a riff, some chords and then a slow solo line, followed by fast legato and alternate picking stuff. I used genome plugin with a distorted vox and a bluesbreaker pedal boosting it. In the Second test i turned off all plugins, except for the reaper tuner. I then played an open high e both with the pedal off and on. Both pedals where set to play a 2nd bellow.

Hello. I did the test against the whammy ricochet, both pedals set to a 2nd down. Check the answers to my comment bellow. I had somewhat similar findings to the author's video.
