This video is a showcase of the Mooer Audio X2 Series Preamp, Cab X, D7, and R7 pedals. I wanted to present these four pedals in a track that I wrote and then talk about how I arrived at all of the sounds running direct into an interface. This is a very good presentation of these pedals. It's a real aplication of their capabilities, and the sounds are all solid. I think it's great that these things are out there, people can record good tones on a somewhat low budget and in their own homes.

It sounds very clean, I mean no buzzing or static,at least no more than microphoning an amp. I purchase the X2 and it’s on the way. I’ve got the GT-1000 and Eventide H Max, this sounds like exactly what I’ve been looking for! I have a lot to work with, these Mooers just sound fantastic,and they cost so little compared to EHX and Earthquaker and I have a lot of both. It’s all about the variety to me, and this seems to have options! Great video!thanks for sharing!

Great demo Shawn. I think this looks like a great fly rig and I like the identical layout of each pedal. I've always wanted a cab sim pedal but have wafted between the high and low end of the spectrum price wise. This one might be the one that forces me off that cliff. And, of course your playing makes any gear seem like it's gonna be great gear.

Shawn, I've always liked all the tones you get out of any pedal. I've been your fan for a while now, ever since I watched your videos on instagram. Can you help me? I wanted your opinion. Is it worth buying a MOOER Preamp x2 and a CAB X2 to use in the FX Loop of the HX Stomp, and thus free up more dsp and effects blocks? Do you really attest to the quality of the two there?

I own several mooer pedals. Some of them do sound very good. HOWEVER, in my experience, they have reliability issues and they don't have any repair facilities in the US or Europe. I was told that I would have to send my pedal to china if I wanted it fixed. I know not everyone will have the same experience. I only mention this because I spent a lot of time with the pre-amp Live setting up sounds for the various gigs that I was doing only to have the unit break on me.

I have the red truck which worked great for quite a while until the cab sim out stopped working. The main reason I had it was an option for running direct.

How many preamps over all can you pick from. Is it like the x4 where there’s all the micro pedal ones. I have a line 6 hd500x and the preamps and cabs lack a bit and was thinking of this to fill that void.

I have the G3 as a preamp. What would you recommend as poweramp while tracking? Also i would love to have a G pedal thats clean as a preamp/pedal plattform. :) Love your channel.

A good solid state option is the Seymour Duncan Power Stage 200. There are a lot of tube options out there to choose from.
