trying to imagine in my head what this is going to sound like or what the work flows gonna be.... yeah no idea. have the original 3 semis, would try this one too!
Looks In music is keeping Moog Moog.. I'm sure Moog has hundreds of designs they can. Maybe finally get an official Moog eurorack module. Always wanted they Matriarch filter and delay as modules
It feels like moog tries to cover all diferent kinds of weird sound design things, which minor and major retailers fail to do. I mean, I can imagine how this synth might sound by specs, but what the hell is bitshifter stuf and how will it affect the sound?
The bit shifter should be something like a rungler, or an MTM Turing machine So it's supposed to be doing the random sequencing, not altering the sound
The sequencers appear to be shift registers (like the eurorack Turing Machine). The corruption knob will randomly change them. Bit shift moves them all one step (probably to the left). You can scale them with attenuators. So each step has four possibilities -- both off, both on, or one of each. Then you can either scale the signals or quantize them at the oscillator level. There's a length LED, so I'm guessing you can have up to 4 pages of bits (64 steps). There are two decay only envelopes: one does pitch mod and one is for the VCA. Based on the layout, I'm sure it will be great for both evolving drones and for percussive sequences. Probably good for other things too, but those come to my mind right away.
