We had some fun with the Moogerfooger MF-101 by Moog. Thanks for watching! :) Gregor Fris - BassTheWorld.com / basstheworldcom / basstheworldbyvideo / basstheworld / basstheworldcom
I have always loved the raw sound of Moog products. Really calls back to the old days of hand made analog pedals that had all of those little eccentricities that made them great.
Not to sound snobbish or rude, but you guys really should have taken the time to demo the MF-101 with an OC-2 (or similar pedal) with the synth tone dialed in (i.e. -1 Lvl. only), especially since you already had a high quality demo in the works. Additionally, an expression pedal is a HUGE part of the pedals functionality, especially with the Cutoff for bass.
Hi, great demo. I just bought one used. It is extremely noisy. On or of. I changed many things and by far the noisiest moogerfooger I have. Did you notice it?
Is it supposed to make your bass sound like a boiling (whistling) kettle?! Based on this, I'd grab a Mutron III long before this hting ... tho', I know Moog makes great stuff, so it must have just been the settings ... ?!!
I don't like this pedal I use i t a lot for drums and pre amplfied stuff. But after a preamp sounds too distorted and befor e the preamp the pream gets so juiced. I don't know why I can't control it. I use a VT Bass Preamp and a Fender P bass.
It's indeed a bit complicated to use in recording circumstances but in a band setting it's the best souding envelope filter I know. I have a good bunch of similar pedals but none sounds as "organic" as this one. The internal preamp/buffer/whatever makes some of my basses sound even better than they do on their own. Expecially Precision Basses.
GDT1124 the DOD is definitely a cool pedal (demo is coming soon) but also very limited in its options. However, it's true - no fitler beats the DOD bang-for-buck-wise
Yea dude, you're a great player. You're hired. Oh wait, I'm not looking for a player, I'm looking to see what a MF 101 can do. I'll have to look elsewhere. (It's a pedal review, not a you review)
it's almost like don't trust a musician who has a nice clean looking guitar because all the better players have worn their instrument out from playing so much.
