🔥 GOLD EDITION UPDATE / April 17, 2022 🔥 - This is my definitive remaster of "Moon Beach," featuring better sound balancing, stereo width, EQing and mastering to provide the ultimate clarity. I also made a few tweaks to the composition, including a much more powerful end section, following the expanded buildup which initially led back into the original song. I feel it has more excitement and power this time 'round.

The change of the drums to a real 909 makes it pop :)

Agreed, it was always in my head to use a combination of 909s and 808 for percussion when doing these. I think Koshiro was intent on duplicating those sounds as close as possible. After all, why WOULDN'T he?

@@MaestroDraven absolutely, even tho the sounds were close but not the real thing ( the yamaha synth chip in the genesis limits ), you only need to listen to the music patterns on the SOF saga, which basically translate to late 80's house and 90's techno, also mid 90's acid and hardcore techno in SOF 3 if I recall correctly

Great version mate. My second favorite and I’ve listened to a lot of versions. The added part are actually quite nice. Edit: After a couple of month of listening, it’s in fact my favorite version of it.

2:36 - That hook reminds me of Deejay Verstyle's Back Again, his SOR4 concept, which turned out to be quite similar to They're Back.

Just checked that out, yeah it has a similar feel. I remember coming up with that little melody in my head when I was playing the games as a kid. Used to whistle extra sections on top of the song as I was playing. Funny the things you remember as a kid! :)

Hey thanks gameingdude but that'd be a major ethical violation....not to mention possible copyright infringement :) I'd have to get licensed to do such a thing. Right now I'm doing this as an homage, but to make money off of someone else's work I don't think would be appreciated.
