@@sirartifice1467 they are Shyamalan movies...but for some context u probably need to watch the older Unbreakable...the aforementioned movies carry a lot of influence from the directing style portrayed in Unbreakable...and the genre is the same...thriller suspense

They also hinted at the third personality in episode one, Mark definitely didn’t ask that girl out on a date because he has a wife and Steven also had no idea he had a date. So I’m guessing that the third personality must’ve asked the girl out on a date.

Because this story is unfolding in an episodic way, you will not "get to it" like you would in a movie. I appreciate this way more so that the story has time to really build in momentum. I am really ready to see just how they introduce Layla to Mark's third personality, the IDGAF Jake Lockley. I still believe that the shot at the end of episode 2 was Mark in the mirror with Jake drinking in the trashed hotel room. Hopefully all three will "meet" and agree to kick Harrow's behind,

I agree, I really enjoy the way the story is developing! But I don't think it was Marc in the mirror. That would mean he's aware of Jake and he really doesn't seem to be.

This would work if the series were 12+ episodes long, mate. Instead we only have 6 episode. There's no reason to stumble one episode just to rush it in the next one.

Yeah, the 3rd alter was hinted at in the first episode, hidden in plain sight: Steven's date at the steakhouse. We all thought Marc asked the coworker for a date but after getting introduced to him--and his wife--in the second episode, it seemed unlikely that Marc would ask someone out on a date. That would draw undue attention to Steven seeing how she is his coworker. Plus Marc cares enough about his wife he stays as Khonshu's avatar to protect her from it.

I see your point Jaby but don't forget this is a story expanding throughout 6 episodes, episode by episode we will be able to get a better smooth interaction between the personalities. So far Steven is still shocked and has not come to terms with "mark's" violence so it's understandable his interaction in the most savage moments. Plus for what we seem to get apparently it's a third, not shown, personality doing the cruelty in fighting. I see we want more "adult" content but MARVEL can't get from 0 to 100 in a sec. They NEED to get the public used to an improved and heavier storytelling. We started with John Walker and his shield brutality...by the time we get to BLADE, it will be all greatly incorporated. I trust MARVEL Studios, they know what they're doing.

Guys, the whole point about Steven getting in the way is that in this episode we get to see what it is like to be Marc and see just how much of a nuisance Steven is being by interfering (as he did when they were in the Alps). All we have seen is Steven having his life ruined by blackouts. We felt nothing for Marc. This episode flipped it so we could see it how the other side of the mirror. As for the fight scenes, again it feels disjointed and less sleek by design. These 2 (3?) personalities are not in sync yet. Their personalities are only just starting to come to terms with working together, so it is only natural that their fighting doesn't mesh well (just look at the 3 Spideys in NWH, at first they couldn't co-ordinate - now imagine they shared a body and disliked each other!). In the next few episodes, as the two finally come to terms with one another, I expect those skilled folks at Marvel to really start to flex their creative muscles. And I suspect, the whole thing will end with the reveal that they have to contend with yet ANOTHER personality (Jake), who was the one that caused so much mayhem in the Alps that we always assumed until now was Marc

I think we all assumed that the first transformations in episode one were all Marc cuz we didn't know of the third personality but it most likely was not. That's why it was way more brutal and bloody then what we just found out is not really Marc's style.

Jaby now I'm thinking like in 1st episode when Steven gone at that Harrow place, and there was a lot of blood in his hand when he had scarrab, it's not about Mark, 3rd identity is more bloody like we can see that in this episode, that 3rd identity is bloody like and Mark is good man and Steven is just nerdy guy... What are you even talking about. Steven's interference led to Marc being literally pinned down to the ground. It didn't slow down the fight. It damn near led to his defeat. It was integrated just fine. Also, making it Jackie Chan like would drastically alter the tone. Review the series for what it is. Not for what you want it to be.

Perhaps the third person is more deadly than Marc. And maybe he was the person who was doing violence in episode 1. Edit: Now I understand whole thing. Marc is the dominant one. Steven is Marc's good and innocent personality. While the third personality I believe Jake has all the deadly skills and mercenary mind that's why he is very good at hiding from his other personas.

25:20 I thing you are miss understanding, in this situation he was not trying to kill them and move on to the next objective. His objective was to beat them up and get information(Arthur's location) out of them. This can also be seen in the next scene, where he is chasing them and say I want to talk. Again, after the 3rd personality kills them, mark says ' Stephen, what did you do', implying he didn't want to kill them.

about jaby's comment on the fighting: we see marc fight and its classic marvel for the most part, but its not like that first flash where marc killed everyone in the street in like 5 seconds. so what im thinking is that that first flash was NOT marc but the third personality. thats supported by this episode showing marc finish killing 2 people but marc and steven both say they didnt do it. the THIRD personality is the hyper deadly murder one. marc can hold his own but he doesnt want to kill who he doesnt have to. and steven, well, we know steven

I think the difference in violence level is supposed to be a mystery, or rather a clue, as seen during the scene where both Marc and Steven claimed that they didn't kill those 2 dudes. Heck, you can see Marc holding back when he switched from wanting to punch the young kid to just slapping him. Maybe his life as a merc changed him. He probably doesn't want to do something at the level of executing 6 men in the back of their heads with extreme prejudice anymore. Also, I remember how Jaby was saying something along the lines of, "Why is Marvel including Issac's line about taking a mature attitude towards mental health in this promotion video? What even is mental health?" in one of his reaction videos. In my opinion, the scene where Marc admitted publicly that he does need help in this episode was a great example of a mature take.

There's a conflict between Marc and Steven where they both view themselves as deserving control and view the other as an obstacle, but they both deserve to have a say and they need to learn to trust each other and make compromises. Steven being out of his depth and getting in the way in the fight was important for him to learn that sometimes Marc is just more equipped to deal with the task at hand, just as Marc had to admit to himself that Steven was better equipped to figure out the star map thing. They're a system, they have to learn to work together. There's no core, no original, no "main personality", just like there's no original pizza slice.

Episode 3 Immediate thoughts… First…RIP to Gaspard Ulliel (actor who portrayed Mogart). He passed away this Jan before this show could air. Second…did anyone catch that reference to Madripoor? That’s the first tie into the other aspects of the MCU we’ve gotten in this show. Sharon was “off the grid in Madripoor”. And from my recollection a lot of shady, black market transactions happen in that city/country. So it fits with the Layla reference. There’s definitely a 3rd personality that neither Marc nor Steven know about. And based on that fact several things are in question. Is Marc the one who killed those people and saved Steven when he woke up in the Alps? Or was it the 3rd alter? The “police” said Marc was part of team that killed an archaeologist with a shot to the back of the head. But was that really the 3rd alter? Was it the 3rd alter who asked that lady out on a date in episode 1 for Steven? It seems like Khonshu isn’t aware of the 3rd alter. Maybe he thinks Marc is the one doing all the killing and it really isn’t him. I thought the hearing/trial scenes were meh. First…why was Khonshu yelling everything? Second…clearly he’s no lawyer cause that was the worse pleading of a case I’ve ever heard. He was entirely unprepared. He had no proof whatsoever. Harrow showed up, told some lies and painted Marc in the worst light ever. It was clear the other Gods are indifferent and totally unaware of what Harrow is doing. And why? Because people aren’t worshipping them the way they used to? Khonshu at least still cares enough about humanity to try and stop Harrow. Also...Marc was basically discredited because he has an illness. Isn't that quite a comment current society. Liked seeing the flip of Khonshu needing Steven’s help at the end. He’s basically had no use for him up til now. On the other hand….Khonshu was also like, “feck them tides.” Lemme revert this night sky back about 2000 years. LOL! Now that Khonshu has been imprisoned…seems like a side quest is in order to free him before Marc/Steven can summon Moon Knight/Mr Knight again and eventually stop Harrow. I can’t quite figure out what Harrow’s beef is with Khonshu. There’s definitely more going on than Khonshu punishing evil-doers too late. It’s more personal for Harrow. I may be back later with more thoughts later but this is what I have for now.

Actually, the personality from the first episode where Steven kept blacking out was not Marc, but a third personality. He's the cold blooded killer, Marc is a mercenary but this version of him is not as violent without the Moon Knight armour. When he has the armour, he means business, when without it, he's just a guy. Marc didn't kill those guys in Egypt and even asked Steven if he had done it, and Steven admitted that it was not him, so there is a third personality and he kills without hesitation. So I think it was this third personality in the first episode in Europe.

the third episode shows mark and steven being taken over by presumably another identity. When Marc looked around everyone was dead just like In the first episode and we know Marc doesn't like to KILL, kill people like brutally murder them which means the identity that took over in the first episode isn't Marc but the identity from the comics.

Marc does kill. He's a mercenary. But he was trying to get information out of the guys who were stabbed when he came back. So it was not him who killed them. The first episode was still Marc. He'd kill harrow's minions any day as long as they're not kids.

We've seen Marc and Steven transition back and forth without losing time, but every time there is a chunk of time missing something incredibly brutal happens (village, cupcake chase, the 3 guys in this episode). There is either a 3rd alter (Jake?) or Khonshu is taking direct control of the body, but if it were Khonshu he'd have taken direct control and killed Harrow when he was telling Steven to do it.

What I really want to know is why at the "trial" he didn't even TRY saying "hey, he's got a magic tattoo that's clearly from Ammit. Also, ask where he just came here from and why he's got a team of people digging up the desert." I get that he was pushing his buttons and all, but like... Khonsu literally said their case against him had to be airtight and then the dummy goes in and presents NO evidence at all, even the obvious stuff. Dude deserves to be a statue.

Remember in episode 2 when the 2 "cops" were looking up Marc Spector on the net and the lady said he was a mercenary who killed some archaeologists execution style......Bets that one of those was Layla's father? I haven't seen anyone touch on that yet.

I think the three personalities go like this: unknown personality represents the part of Marc who is the cold blooded killer, Marc is conflicted about killing which is why he sometimes gives in to Steven, and Steven represents the part of Marc that is completely against violence and killing. Marc and Steven can work together, but the third personality just takes over in order to get stuff done, which is just the killing, because as soon as the threats are dead, he gives the body back to whoever had it last.

I get Marc maybe I’m seeing too much into it but he is simply a torture man trapped and also at the mercy of his own mind and a God that is low-key blackmailing him to do his bidding. He still loves Layla but he has a lot of baggage esp with what he did in the past specifically in Egypt(consequently when his grip on the Steven personality switches weakened and maybe he developed a new personality to deal with what he did and to detach himself with the brutal nature he is capable of)

Just like before we were hinted Marc and then we saw him in action, here too we are hinted about a thrid personality which is way more violent and then in later episode we will see that personality in action as well. I also feel this thrid personality has something to do with Egypt as he just wanted to get out of there, maybe he was the one that killed those Archeologists the fake cops mentioned in ep 2, which is why Marc doesn't remember doing it, and maybe he is the one that killed Layla's father as well.

Jabby is confused because we're missing the switches between the 3rd IDENTITY or ALTER (please stop calling it personalities) and Steven and Marc, so Marc is missing more time because there's other 2 alters switcheing between themselves beyond him, another thing you're missing Jabby is that marc didn't want to kill that criminal BECAUSE he needed to interrogate him, a dead guy doesn't talk., he dropped guys like flies in the other fight protecting Layla (until Steven got in the way at least)

Personalities is what we call for 3rd personality so it comes to your choice if you want to use Identity, Alter or Personality, nothing is wrong with calling alter personality. Edit: Personality is just another term

I think one major issue is that Marc already was pulling his punches to not kill and Steven still was interfering. He's timid, but this makes him just look stupid. Who calls for a timeout when being attacked by people who want to kill you? And then, why does he try to get to the airport? (That may have been Jake, but Steven never denied it.) He knows what's at stake, and letting Harrow win by default isn't something he would want either. (And Jake seems clued in to what's going on, so I don't see him running away either.) In fact, with decoding the coordinates he's eager to help without even being asked. That all just doesn't add up, which is disappointing after the first two episodes where so spot on about who was doing what for which reason at all times. Also, the rotation of the moon is for sunset all the time, even when a clock strikes midnight. In a series about a moon god that just shouts "I couldn't be arsed". It's not that hard to look it up and at least use an angle that is physically possible after 7 pm....

Jake his other alter is a Taxi driver from New York, so he has an New York accent and it shows up in this episode . When Mark is talking to Layla the accent changes when they are talking when she has that drink in her hand when she's talking about people from Cairo don't like her name. Just listen to hear the New York accent.

Jaby mentioning the Steven interference with Marc during fight scenes reminded me of Aparachit(Anniyan) Where the police officer was trying to kill ambhi(first personality)other personality interferenced and fight the goons and police officer where ambhi was trying to tell he is not intending to hurting them which jaby also reacted some years ago.

I think the reason Steven thought he could stop the fight at Mogart’s was because he stopped the fight on the rooftop, we don’t really see what happened but we’re left to infer that Steven was able to diffuse the situation and leave, so he thought that if he could do it then he could do it again and when he realized the guys wouldn’t stop he let Marc handle the rest of the fight

Unless Kevin Feige changes his mind, the _Blade_ movie we're getting is PG-13, Jaby. I think Marvel is using the third alter as a way to do bloody violence without showing it. So we have Marc doing PG-13 fighting, Steven who doesn't really fight, and then when the need for bloodshed comes, they both black out and wake up to dead bodies. Third alter (Jake?) does the shit off-screen. Thus retaining the PG-13 violence but still showing "Moon Knight" as a fearsome vigilante. A theory.

By the way - I quite liked the fight scenes, but then again I also read them like Marc isn’t the “murder everyone” aspect, that’s the third guy. The altercation between Marc and Steven did happen, so I don’t understand that either. I didn’t need some confusion with more than three guys on the roof top, as Marc was trying to make them speak and not just massacre them. The stalling with the cape, I saw as a reference to the “no capes” joke… Nah. I liked the fight scenes here.

One thing that throws of the continuity is the fact that Avengers have no response to shit that is going on. Hawkeye, Falcon and Winter Solider and Loki I get. Two are not on that big scale and the other one is so big that they can't do shit. But a sudden eclipse and the whole night sky turning into disco lights are definitely a cause for investigation.
