@@TheRealCrimdor Sorry you didn't like them. I actually enjoyed the disorienting breaks in the action as a narrative mirror to MK's fractured mind, but I can see how they would be annoying for action fans.
@@Peter_Wendt - I just thought the large majority of the action scenes weren’t long enough or interesting. The last 2-3 minutes showed the only decent fighting. I never finished the show because I found it quite boring and I’m glad I didn’t stick with it for the action because it seems like there wasn’t a whole lot.
@@TheRealCrimdor I think the reason they didn’t add a lot of fight scenes was because they wanted to focus on the characters Marc and Steven instead of a fight scene every minute which personally I actually liked
Hey atleast he isn’t cold hearted and just slapped the kid but I’m not saying he is cold hearted just saying that he is the main character but atleast he didn’t punch the kid in the face
Crazy that the suit was REAL. Issac actually put that damn thing on for most of these shots. These days I figured it was all CGI but nope, suit was legit
@@kaaluha9591 Which honestly, as much as I love actors doing their own stunts, you can't exactly blame them. Full body suit to hide the face, limited vision and movement which makes stunt work even more dangerous.
I love this interpretation of the character. The simple fact that Mr. Knight is kinda softer, tries to block and parry and doesn't go for "lethal action" (using short, blunt weapons instead of blades) Then, Moon Knight just goes for the kill and doesn't even bother to block almost any attacks, just tanking damage, knowing nothing can hurt him. And then the absolutely raging beast that's Jake.... I hope we get to see Jake's interpretation of the suit at some point. It may be even more "comic accurate" with less mummy inspiration and a more "super hero suit" look. And I also hope that we see Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night sharing the screen at some point.
Funny thing is you described moon knights fighting style perfectly. The mfker just tanks anything without a care. And it’s the reason why taskmaster refuses to copy his fighting style because it’s too damaging to the body
They could probably show all the blackout time that jake lockley took over to like when he reveals himself to marc and steven for the first time and we finally be able to see him kick the shit out of harrow
I absolutely love how the personalities of each one of the different characters comes out with the fighting. While of course khonshus favorite is Jake considering how crazy he actually is.
Actually, he was supposed to be more powerful and badass than Batman. But in terms of badassness, Christian bale’s Batman was a lot better. They could have made the fight scenes more.
8:02 Imagine in season 2, or the opening of season 2x1 it shows the final fight again of when Harrow is abt to win but then Jake takes over. Imagine it’s that scene but this time we actually see Jake doing the dirty stuff until the part when Marc comes back in control whilst on the brink of bashing Harrow’s head in with his own staff.
Why is everyone satisfied with moon knight getting a bad show? It should have been a movie. It should still be a movie. Why give Shang chi, black widow, or the eternals a movie? Why give the fkn thunderbolts a movie?
@@imanoldurango8213 Having a show is not a bad thing. It actually allows for much more plot and character development, which is important with Moon Knight because of his complex back story due to his split personalities. No way his story could be told in as much detail and quality in a 2 hour movie vs a TV series.
@@imanoldurango8213 because all those other people are much easier to connect to the MCU lol with moonknight they are introducing a completely different type of lore and it would be stupid to have a movie that’s a hour and a half for someone with many many things to work out
3:58 ok this is a small detail but I love that they show the moon in the background, it indicates to us the audience the level of strength he has so we know how much of an advantage he actually has.
@YūGen Grey the crescent moon symbolizes a raging bull, the full moon represents wisdom. He was stronger on the crescent moon, yet smarter on the full.
I do like that they game him actual super strength and speed. In the comics he is just a regular peak human and gets a slight strength increase during full moon.
My favorite fight in the show is in Episode 2 where it shows how strong and brutal Moon Knight is but also reminding us that he is still human like when he impales the beast but doesn’t stick the landing. He isn’t perfect. That and the Mr. Knight segment is also great
This by far my favorite thing from marvel in ages soundtrack was incredible and Oscar playing multiple characters in one scene. The costumes were good!!!
Cant wait to see deadpool react to his old friend moonknight, imagine seeing them both fighting alongside spidey, every fanboy would literally lose their shit
I love how in the end Marc and Steven realize that they need each other becoming one badass hero If Moon Knight returns and he will (yes i'm positive on that), I wonder how they will manage with Jake Lockley alter ego
MCU have made him more powerful I mean he certainly got some best fight skills whereas in comics he doesn't even bother to block and doesn't heal that fast and also he's more unstable in comics
I can usually understand criticisms for a lackluster/underwhelming film or show, but I absolutely loved Moon Knight and nobody can convince me that there were major issues with it.
I think the major issue would be the payoff, clearly they're setting up for whatever project moon knight appears in next but having the resolution to the ordeal being "oh he switched to jake and somehow won" is as lazy as "somehow palpatine returns" in terms of story writing.
For a lot of Moon Knight fans, the show does not resemble the comics at all and takes a more mystical, Indiana Jones/Brendan Fraser Mummy feel than the gritty street-level vigilante thriller the comics generally have. Also, this looks barely less generic than Marvel Studios productions overall in my opinion. To me, it’s just a *little* more gritty and tries to go for a psychological thriller feel but I’d watered down with the same greyed and bland look and feel of the other Marvel Studios projects.
@@samkeller5823 The thing is Moon Knight has been reimaged dozens of times in the comics. In the orginal runs it was a lot more Indiana Jones in tone much like the show. You can't blame Marvel for taking some elements from various interoperations of Moon Knight and doing their own thing with it, it's how most Super Hero adaptations go both Marvel and DC. It's fair to prefer one interpretation over the other, but I still think the show is amazing if you view it for what it is, rather than what it isn't.
the way he let the beast think it had won. Then snatches the kill like candy from a baby. The fighting style is like he takes hits to give hits. Somewhat like deadpool so to see an outline of that in this scene is cool
I really wish there were more fight scenes. Moon knight is so badass in the comics, my favorite marvel character, but I feel like we barely saw any of him fighting.
So for what i see moon knight has, Super Strength,Enhanced Speed and Reflexes,Super Durability,Skilled in Hand to Hand Combat,Healing Factor and Encanhed Perception and small invulnerability(at least hr doesnt feel that much pain in combat)
In Marvel Studios' Moon Knight: The Art of the Series, Diab discussed the blackouts Marc and Steven Grant had, which he said became more interesting to direct than the action. "We've all seen huge action sequences before, but now, anything could happen in a second," continued Diab. "You can be transferred somewhere else, and you don't know what happened. Even the protagonist doesn't know what happened! That glued people to their seats." "And at the end, we discovered that the blackouts were actually Jake," he further noted. "It was a big question-is Jake going to be in our show or not? We tried in some versions to have him, but eventually, he was in the show without being in the show - and I love that." Diab concluded by teasing that if one thought Marc and Steven's story was beyond belief, then Jake's will be "much, much weirder," due to there being "so many ways to go" between the three. "Who would be friends with whom?" Diab added. "Because Jake seems like he's on a whole different level…"
I thoroughly enjoyed this, watch the whole season in 24 hrs lol i will watch season 1, until a season 2 happens its so good. I never knew moon knight until the series an now i love it ❤️
No doubt Moon knight and Mr. Knight are awesome respectfully, but we all have to know how sick is the Jake Lockley's attire and how ruthless he must be during combat. In sums up, MK was a pretty decent and fun show which dared to visit some dark corners without having R rating or "The Boys" makeover. But know this Disney overlords, if you will rain fire on upcoming MK, Daredevil or the Punisher characters I swear the mobs will riot and we will cast you out from the windows of your ivoy towers.
The first time I watched this show I didn’t enjoy it that much, although the visuals and fights were good. I recently rewatched it and loved it. I recently read some comics and the character is becoming one of my Marvel favorites.
@@Oblivion___ He is nothing like Batman. The only similarities he has with Batman are he has money, he wears a cape, he's a street level vigilante, he has an aerial vehicle that's on theme, and he throws knives shaped like his logo. That's it. That is where the comparison begins and ends and most of that is just basic superhero shit that applies to a fuck ton of other characters. Outside of the surface level similarities they couldn't be any more different.
Around 1980, Moon Knight was getting a lot of buzz. At the time Batman was a little dull. A comic book review magazine had a cover of Moon Knight pushing Batman out of the way, while saying something like, "Move aside old man!"
