@@NIREV He is not even remotely right, he picked up his own leg and chucked it across the room then called that a good theory. The MCU does not plan things out that much.
@@lasher6049 I really wish he could just take the pitch meetings and put them on his own RU-vid channel. But I’m sure it’s probably in his contract that he’s not allowed to do that. And even if they allowed him to buy the rights to the series, it would probably cost way too much for it to be worth it
“Oh but they mentioned a news reporter in Canada, so obviously the fact that they mentioned Canada twice in the movie means that it was a reference to a specific Canadian character that doesn’t exist in the MCU until Phase 5.”
I mean it makes more sense for it not to be random than random considering the nature of the MCU. Why would writers and producers and directors go, "Say Dr. Strange and some random nonesense about a dude from Cairo"? I'm just saying everything about a work of fiction is calculated. It would be a stretch in real life. Haha.
What I still don't understand is how Stephen Strange could be a threat to Hydra, considering the nature of the villains he's fought against so far in the MCU.
In the comics he helped someone that attempted to kill recover since he knew everything about them and Steven became a threat to them since he could pretty much heal anyone
@@chrislecount6212 It doesn't matter what he focuses on primarily. He's still a hero and they're a huge villainous organization. While he might not be the main one to go after them, he could still be a part of a team who may go after HYDRA. It's not like he'd ignore them if they were doing something villainous and he was aware of it.
Except Marc Spector isn’t a tv anchor. He’s a mercenary in the comics and that appears to be consistent with what little we see of him in the trailers so far
If your title is "Moon Knight Was Introduced In Phase 3 Of The MCU," then the video should not be a petty theory just for views. This is why the majority of RU-vid is a disgusting cry for attention.
Maybe. But it's similar to how they teased Black Panther back in the meeting between Nick Fury and Tony in Ironman 2. Also how Tony telling the general about the Avengers in Incredible Hulk could explain why they are pals in Civil War.
I don’t recall Marc Spector being a tv anchor. It could be one of his alternate identities, but if it were a reference they would’ve said something more substantial like how Sitwell also mentioned a “high school valedictorian” not some tv guy that happens to be a Cairo.
Hm. To me this is kinda like saying "ooh, look, someone said New York, that's obviously a Spiderman reference". I mean, are we seriously saying that anytime Marvel wants to set some of their story points in global locations, they have to limit themselves to cities that don't have any superheroes native to that country? We as fans are WAY too quick to build up mountains out of less than molehill-sized references. This isn't logic, this is grasping at straws. "Name-dropping the real city of Cairo is a reference to a character who had a one time encounter in an Egyptian desert". Yeah, okay then, have fun with that.
I am a simple Comic Fan, I hear or see Moon Knight and I click.......but This theory might be wrong. Because 1. Marc Spector Visited Egypt exclusively for a Mission, which went sideways and resulted in him becoming Moon Knight 2. He was never a reporter, he has been many things like Cab Driver, Movie producer and stock market wizard, but not Reporter (Sure MCU can Change some aspect about him but that we have to wait for) 3. EVEN If this theory is correct that means Moon Knight exists AS Moon Knight since Phase 2 or 3, which might led to lot of questions of his absence to world ending events.
For #3 that really doesn't mean anything, because isn't he just a street level character? Where were Daredevil and the Punisher? Doing their own thing or were dusted with everybody else. Same with other 'to be revealed' characters like the Sub-Mariner who was also teased.
It is true that comic book accuracy says that it's impossible, but since when did the MCU focus that much on comic book accuracy? Their goal is to flip the script to create something new😉
@@ParadiseDB7 he definitely isn't just a street level character ( I am not saying this to be rude ) but depending on the moon his powers can vary normally he can do a lot of martial arts and boxing and fighting but depending on the type of moon it is he can fly preform magic absorb power shoot lasers... etc
@@the6thyonko354 street level just means their local superheroes that sort of just do their own thing, lol (as opposed to the Avengers or Guardians who travel the world/universe). I've heard he's sort of like Marvel's Batman, who at least for most of his time only fought in Gotham. Or like Daredevil who only fights in Hell's Kitchen, etc. I don't really know so I'm looking forward to the series, but I just remember back when Netflix was making series every person I talked to said he should get one too because he's very comparable to both Daredevil and the Punisher.
@@ParadiseDB7 Well, if there needs a comparison to describe Moon Knight, he is more like the modern Geralt of Rivia. He is a Former Mercenary Monster Hunter, but in actuality is a wall that separates Men from Monsters and protects both.....yeah he is street level but partial
I was a bit conflicted about how he was able to name drop Stephen Strange. They were looking for anybody that could be a threat to Hydra. At the time Dr Stephen Strange path to sorcerer wasn’t even a twinkle in Strange’s eye. Or anybody else besides the Sorcerer Supreme. I seriously doubt any kind of algorithm would’ve figured this out. So unless Hydra could see the future I just don’t see how this was anything but fan service.
It wasnt just about his chance of becoming sorcerer, but also his level of intellect (which they dont showcase much often).... but yeah that name drop was weird considering hes nowhere near that level of intellect in mcu
Huh? Nope. I don't think I have ever read the word Cairo in a Moon Knight comic book. Cairo is a city in Northern Egypt. Wrong. Marc Spector was left for dead in the middle of a desert in North Sudan. Not even in Egypt, technically. Also, he was never a tv anchor, like ever. Maybe try reading some moon knight CBR... LMFAO 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
This. Thank you. To me it's like saying "ooh, look, someone said New York, that's obviously a Spiderman reference". I mean, are we seriously saying that anytime Marvel wants to set some of their story points in global locations, they have to limit themselves to cities that don't have any superheroes native to that country? We as fans are WAY too quick to build up mountains out of less than molehill-sized references. "Name-dropping the real city of Cairo is a reference to a character who had a one time encounter in an Egyptian desert". Give me a break. This is a non story.
Lmaoo the tv anchor he mentioned was kingo from eternals that was a movie star and the high school valedictorian was sersi also from eternals, if you watched eternals it literally shows what their day jobs were

Thaaaaank you. Or in the US. He was never an anchor. Steven Grant was tv/movie producer; Moon Knight is moon knight. He would never do anything that much in the limelight lol Nvm, that Marc Spector didn't even die in the huge city of Cairo/Egypt lol it was north sudan in the middle of a desert
Seeing as Moon Knight is teased in The Winter Soldier and Civil War (both Russo Brother movies) it's fair to assume that The Russo Brothers put those Easter eggs in and not the MCU. Because if they did, then we would have seen Moon Knight references in other MCU movies too, not just the ones written and directed by The Russo Brothers.
Alot of people saying this is the biggest reach as if marvel doesn't hide shit like this in moves years and years before and touch up on them later, Kevin feige even admitted to planting seeds for characters in earlier movies and loves making characters and surprises you wouldn't expect.
I don't think so, sorry. I believe that Marc became Moon Knight somewhere after Infinity War. When Steven finds Marc's ID, it's dated in 2018 or 2019. In other words, he survived the snap. The ID also reveals that Marc is exactly 10 years younger than Oscar Isaac. And in Moon Knight, Marc and Steven's lives were crossing each other for about a year or less, I think.
wow “tv anchor in cairo…, *reference to cairo based on a clip on screen that literally points to nothing about cairo at all*” = yep it’s definitely reffering to moon knight iM sO sMoRt-CBR
In that scene Jasper also talks about a high school student in Detroit or something (can't remember where exactly). So I guess there's a kid from Detroit who's going to be in the mcu
Hydra’s #1 creation was still wreaking havoc as of the latest movie 🙃 I was re-watching Age of Ultron and I had forgotten that Wanda originally opposed the creation of Vision. Funny how things work out
The real issue with this scene is that they mention Stephen Strange and he wasn't even a wizard as this time. He was still just a normal Dr, so hydra couldn't have known about him yet. *Marvel and they're continuity problems 🤨
Nah dude the algorithm is suppose to identify people who could be a threat and Stephen Strange is a genius level IQ and a well know brilliant surgeon and a very rich man and he could very well be a threat to hydra even before becoming a wizard. I don’t think the algorithm knew he was going to become a wizard like he did in the future but just him being smart, rich, and a well know surgeon was enough to get him on there radar.

Actually no way home takes place from july to december. July when his identity is outed, september when he goes back to school, nearing the end of october when mj's boss tells her to take down halloween decorations, and the final scene of him swinging in december. High chance that doctor strange 2 takes place early 2025
Yeah no this is a stretch, just because a location is referenced that doesn't connect Moon Knight at all. As someone said in the comments it's like if they mentioned Canada and you scream "Look! Look! They talked about Canada! Obviously they're referring to Wolverine!"
"Knowing how well the MCU plans out things..." Uh, "planned." "PLANNED out things" is what you meant to say here, my dude. Nothing whatsoever about Phase 4 or anything we've gotten since has shown us the higher ups at Marvel Studios have any clue at all about how to properly tell any stories set after Endgame. ...No Way Home doesn't count. That was mostly Sony Studios' thing.
Could have been just an alias. A guy like Marc Spector is not just going to come right out and say "I'm a fucking mercenary that kill people for money".
FIRST OFF MARC SPECTER ISN'T A FUCKING ANCHOR That's literally in the comics and 2nd, back then Netflix was tasked with the series But that changed at the beginning of Covid
Also, in Howard the Duck the female co star played by Lea Thompson wears silver earrings in one scene. This is a clear tease for The Silver Surfer. It's so obvious really.
The MCU doesn’t do these things because they “planned” them. The MCU adds in easter eggs for every character that’s ever been in a comic before and then they make projects based on what gets traction, and so that when they do anything later down the line, people like this will go “OH LOOK THEY PLANNED IT”
fun fact if you go back and watch the civil war when agent carter is opening the trunk to reveal she has the gear notice the cap shield next to falcons wings and is also nod to sam wilson as captain america show that they had plans for falcon to take over that captain america mantle for a while
Yes they've planned some of it, but I thought it was well known that they've actually been really good at winging it, putting in small Easter eggs etc, so numpties like you go, "oh, look!"
One of Moon Knights runs has him become a Hollywood producer that's making his own Moon Knight project so maybe the name drop scene is referring to that
If you go back and rewatch the movie Sitwell explains why each target was picked, Zolas algorithm evaluated each targets past to predict their future, meaning they knew he would be important a t some point in the future, they just didn’t know why or how and didn’t care
If Atlantis was teased in Iron-Man 2 way before the hint in endgame with Okoye dismissing the importance of the sea/earthquakes then I can see this being a reference to moon Knight as they also teased Dr Strange
I mean Marc wasn't even Moon Knight at that point, and on top of that the government seems to have no knowledge of the Egyptian Gods. Even if Marc was Moon Knight back then (he wasn't) how would anyone even know? Only his wife seems to know.
Ah yes, reference to a country is reference to hero associated with country. That's like if Austria being name dropped was a teaser for Arnold Schwarzenegger.
