By the way, I use dial test indicator to check for a lot of things needed for 3D printer hobby. Buy one if you don't already have it. I'd suggest for Chinese made one below (affiliate link which also helps the channel) which doesn't cost a lot like Mitutoyo ones. Remember don't put magnet close to these Chinese made dial test indicators. You might damage them.

TIR is something that most people usually don't pay attention to. When it comes down to motors, it is imparative to have it within spec. Thanks dropping by.

Thanks for the nice video...i was planning to get the formbot kit also for voron 2.4 and as you know they use moons motors...so what i understand from your video is that the motors are good? I also saw your video of the printer build do you still recomment the kit?...thanks a bunch

My kit wasnt cherry picked or sponsored by formbot. I paid with my own money for everything. To me, it is worth for what i paid for. I tested the motor's TIR as in this video and i was happy about the result. I also tested the aluminum plate and same thing I was happy with it. As long as you have good mechanical apptitude putting the printer together, it's worth the money. With that being said, i have seen bad print results from the most expensive kit and great print result from the cheaper kit. My point is that as long as you know what you are doing formbot kit is excellent. You can save a bit money from the more "expensive" kit and upgrade to CANbus and IDM scanner.

@@mahmoudeid87 the cables are all crimped. Because I do a bit diffetent from their stock kit with the wago connectors (link in description) so i cut their cables up. It's a DIY to my linking.
