Gorgeous! I bought a cheap, half broken kids telescope from a thrift shop a while back and the first time I pointed it at the moon the wife's and my mouths dropped. Like good ol' H.P. says, a waxing gibbous moon looks the best.
These are just random tests I have made and posted for local friends but... who knows... maybe it will be worth something to post public so those that have this kind of hobby will have some comparison videos to your own work. Stay safe...
I use a Sony A7RII camera and the lens is the Sony 200 - 600mm F 5.6 lens mounted on a iOptron tracking mount. It does not, of course, have the resolution of a 10" telescope but it is sure a lot easier to move around... I also bought the 2.0x teleconveter but I don't find it really necessary. Hope this helps.
Hi Jim, I haven't had any conversations with aliens yet but I don't give up easily. I like to remind myself and others that we cannot communicate with our dogs or cats or bugs or anything else here on Earth and even have language barriers between ourselves so I don't have a lot of faith we will be communicating with aliens any time soon. 🙂 but it is fun to play with it.
