Now I really want to see this show re-done starring Karl Pilkington. I'd love to hear his take on these Egyptian gods who want to dispense "justice."

Also, Marc is apparently the primary 'host' personality. I've heard conversations that one of the reasons Steven's accent and phrasing are off is that he is an alter created from a patchwork of Marc's experiences with British pop culture.

@@akkibajaj705 The former. He developed DID in his childhood due to a traumatic experience, which is almost always how DID forms. In the comics, he, a Jewish boy, was attacked by a nazi in disguise.

I never read the comics, so I just assumed that Marc was always a badass, and that Khonshu needed a champion that was 100% fearless and merciless, so he removed the fear and mercy from Marc's psyche, and it manifested as Steven between missions. But uhh... I can imagine many holes in that approach.

@@Alterego912 yeah it’ll be interesting how they tackle the obvious DID that’s a big part of the moon knight character. In the comics he developed it as a child, and judging from his dialogue in episode 2 Marc has seemingly been dealing with it for a while (since he is the main personality) I’m most interested in the timelines, because (from the comics anyways) Marc is the main personality. Given the fact that Layla knows that Marc has Khonshu’s power, a theory of Steven developing/coming to prominence after Marc was made the avatar isn’t possible. Back in the first episode and reinforced in this episode, it seems the deal Marc made with Khonshu included that the Steven personality wouldn’t interfere. But Marc does also say that recently the “walls between them” have been broken and now whoever controls the body is stronger and is able to suppress the other personalities it seems. Which explains why Marc mostly takes over once Steven sleeps - adding to Steven’s sleep deprivation. But I also think that the other personalities that are present in the comics will make an appearance. Back in episode 1 when Steven apparently arranged a date, I don’t think Marc would’ve done that since he’s so loyal to Layla and it doesn’t seem his nature to do anything other than be the first of vengeance, and Steven certainly didn’t, so I think the third personality has yet to reveal itself to us the audience.

@@karma916 There has been imagery of a psychiatric hospital in the credits sequence. Maybe something from his past since I don't see Marc/Steven getting admitted anytime soon.

As a fellow british person I cna agree with this, his accent is pretty spot on depending where you go, his accent seems to be a mix of multiple areas accents

Probably does not realize that people within the same country can sound different. Just look at United States and the various accents they have.

Yup - totally agree. Steven's accent is very specifically North East London. Oscar as done a great job with it.

So true, especially when you have a lot going on in your life, you just keep track of the day-to-day... you know today is Thursday cause yesterday was Wednesday, etc... so perfectly understandable that he didn't know about the time lapse until it was brought up

Yep, and when he thought he was crazy his first instinct was to turn himself in so he wouldn't hurt anyone. Steven is a good person.

I agree, I think he might be the Marc Spector "replacement." Not his wife. Which would be cool and ironic.

@@matthewdunham1689 There are some theories that claim the alters people with DID create are merely aspects of their core personality - meaning neither Marc nor Steven can be considered the "real" one. Some psychiatrists believe integrating personalities helps a person with DID become whole, although there's nothing definitive about that.

Mark Spector may represent Moon Knight's fighting spirit, but Steven is is his conscience and decency. Moon Knight can't be a hero without both of them

Moonlight Mask (Gekko Kamen) existed a decade before, though.

In Endgame they explained it away by saying it will just cause an alternate timeline instead of changing theirs. But onto the Baby Hitler thing. Everyone always defaults to killing. Why not go back in time and try to steer him onto a better path? HECK... bribe/convince the art school to actually accept him.

@@dovahpiolo because he caused the deaths of so many people. Based on that alone most people wouldn’t think he deserved to be steered to a different path. That he should simply be put down.
