I think the lizards are much easier to obtain than the fish and each raw lizard can give up to 3 food(chance is based on cooking level) meaning you need to catch even less. Plus the lizards heal based on your cooking level while the fish heal based on your fishing level so they will probably heal you for more unless you have 99 in both.
They both heal based on your cooking level. But also lizards on your hunter level and fish on your fishing level. It uses whichever is the lowest result. So it’ll really be player specific.
I would recommend not starting with Eclipse and ending with Blood since you have to run all the way back to the Lunar Chest room from the Blood spawn. Instead, you can start off with Blood, which will take you to Ice, and then finally end up at Eclipse. After beating Eclipse, you will be outside the Lunar Chest room. From here you can prep supplies for your next run. Might just be a personal preference, but seems faster than starting with Eclipse.
I think for the initial run starting with Eclipse is better so you don't need any starter supplies but after that initial run where you got supplies you then start on Blood.
I've found the most efficient is Blood-> Blue -> Eclipse. On top of naturally being pathed to the last boss and chest quickly, youll have a full inventory for Blood. He's the one that seems to do the most chip damage. And Eclipse hardly does any if you get your counter attacks done right. Natural flow for resources and best pathing for chest.
Worth stating as an iron who ran 74 barrows this weekend to accumulate a tank set to do this, unless youre 80+ defense do NOT under any circumstance bring your torso. Just get yourself a barrows tank set. Doesnt evennmatter if you buy or farm one, just avoid veracs on a big armor piece. Even at 71/76/70 melees, in tank armor, occasionally a boss will get lucky and slap the hell out of you a couple times in a row. Also unless youve got a fang or rapier, just use a zombie axe vs eclipse. Fight goes faster
@@KaozOSRS oh the bosses can get lucky and slap you hard while doing all mechanics correctly. Blood moon is in a unique position of taking up about half of your entire run time, you can perform the boss 100% correct without mistake, and he'll luck into a triple hit with a 20 on the third hit healing 100 and soft resetting the fight. Jamflex really went out of their way to make tank gear relevant in this content with typeless melee damage so we can just pray it all away
@@KaozOSRSyes it does, and for the blood moon it is annoying because of his healing. Yesterday i needed to get him from 130 to 40 3 times in a row and running out of food because after the damage phase he was at the same hp as before 😢 And sometimes i just need 4 pieces of food. The dd is not soo good at the eclipse since it tends to hit just 1s sometimes, extending the fight.
Pretty sure after a mechanic for any of the bosses the glowing circle will always be in either the NNE or SSW depending on which mechanic just ended, helps to get an extra hit off sometimes with a 4tick. Usually can get 4 hits off on the first circle and then 3 hits on each of the side ones assuming 4 tick. Sometimes I get 5 in on first circle while doing blue moon for some reason. Also oddly using dual macs I get 3 hit on last blue moon circle while using zammy hasta I could only ever get 2. I don't know what's going on but these inconsistencies only ever happened at Blue moon. On Jaguar phase in blood moon you can also listen to the blood pool sound and step back when it ends, I find this more reliable as sometimes I jump in during a phase change which desyncs the animations I see for some reason but the sound is correct. On blood pool only phase you don't have to constantly walk you can just stand around the NNE circle and chill as long as you pay attention to pools spawning under you. Blue moon brazier phase you can just chill on SSW circle if the boss regenerating 60ish HP doesn't bother you. Hell it's the best phase to jump into the fight on and super obvious it's going on due to the flame cage that spawns. Starting while its happening is just a free like 40ish damage. Spam your emote of choice, I've been partying. Not much to say on Eclipse besides parry phase is probably most of your damage. If you're just walking the ball it starts to move right when the stun birds disappear. Personally I find starting Blue Moon to get lizards as food is easier than fishing since fishing is too jank for me which may partly be because my fishing is my lowest stat at 70. I assume there's still a catch chance on top of aligning the damn net which makes it miserable. Lizards I do all 3 traps twice and that cooks enough to fill inventory since each lizard turns into 2-3 chunks. After that I do Eclipse>Blue>Blood as intended restocking as needed. As a closing statement fuck Blood moon healing 100s back to back sometimes, and fuck going into Eclipse parry phase while he's on 1hp.
blood moon pools (damn, 3 double-o words in a row) are less stressful if you just stand still until a puddle appears underneath you, then click a tile away
Being a Mid Level player here, Ive had the hardest time trying to get through the blood moon because it was healing more than I was dealing damage to it. It wasnt until i looked it up in the Wiki that you can mitigate their damage with higher defensive stats as Armour is a new stat they added to the game. Justiciar is relevant to this battle and the Serpentine Helm is better than the Helm of Nietiznaut here as well. I noticed i wasnt taking as much damage once i switched to my highest defense gear (i cannot afford Justiciar). Also, moon sigils change after every 2 attacks the moons do
No pet thing isn’t an L imo. Jagex rightly doesn’t want this place overran and uniques devalued by maxed pet hunters. With no pet, you’ll move on to more lucrative content as soon as you have the gear/levels/PvM ability to do so, which means the uniques will, in theory, hold value for the portion of the playerbase the content was designed for. The L is that the uniques likely will not hold value due to the very niche use cases, absurd cost to repair them, and the fact that the atlatl darts have an absolute meme of a GE buy limit. I really hope that’s an oversight lmao
Bring barrows top and legs if under 75 defense to reduce chip damage, just my 2 cents after 25kc on a 70defense mid lvl account. Also use melee boosting prayers, if you don’t have piety or chivalry unlocked use the lower level ones, those will reduce the damage you take and increase what you deal, plus prayer is free in this dungeon so you might as well take advantage of that.
Honestly you are making pretty good guides, its a different approach you are taking. I am speaking of the fact that you do not use a script. Buuuuuuuuuuut, if you make a "mid level" guide and you recommend a BGS or an elder maul, come on....if I watch your guide to make money of moons for example than i probably dont have the money for that... because if 30m dont bother me than I dont need a guide for mid level moons. To summon things up, I like your guides and do not blame me for the feedback but most of the the your recommodations dont match the audience. Disclaimer: I take absolutely not resbosability for any major spelling mistakes bacause I am from austria -> no kangaroos just colimoos = cows = Europe :) I got an idea how to do stuff, dagganoths with a T-bow is not an option for me xD
If you think my "audience" can't afford a bgs you're coping insanely hard. This was done before the Elder maul buff announcement and was below 10m at the time. Appreciate the comment, but it's an extremely mediocre approach thinking that higher gear suggestions are not viable.
You don't have to drop the vials of water to pick up more, btw. Just collect the herblore supplies again. It will give you two more vials of water, and no additional pestle & mortar. No dropping necessary. Easy :)
Max stats - bandos with a fang n whatever you can afford - I gather 6 pots and 6 lizards then start with blood-ice-eclipse I get around 20 full runs with this invent. I’ll pot on blood only rest of pray comes back from collecting the butterflies in between bosses to gain prayer back. It’s comfy and consistent aslong as you can makesure u avoid all unnecessary damage tip for ice when the fires need lighting aslong as you are tik perfect full run you can avoid all whirlwinds easily by instant clicking the fire when it becomes available. Tip 2 eclipse special orb phase fall behind 1 tile when it first starts moving and keep run on. If done correctly you’ll never be hit behind the orb
Elder maul is very good against Eclipse's teleporting phase. I have entered the room as that phase begain, and with the maul, I had it down to 1 hp by the end of the phase.
dropping the vials of water doesnt make it faster. bgs is cheaper than elder maul. best rotation is to head to blood room from the room you started in, (youd take the north cave entrance then the one immediately left as you exit.) -> blue, grab more pots, and lizards for food if needed. -> yellow, repeat food and supplies steps if needed. -> loot room, cuppa, and repeat.
Im not very skilled at pvm, so im happy when they release something i can do and have fun with. i really love these bosses, and hey, its helping improving my skills! also yeah, a pet'd have been nice. i'd love to have a mini moon boss following me around :)
Just want to put this here because a lot see. I would record and post myself but PC is trash and doesn't run well while recording. I do a TRUE med game run. I run full Guthans use the war spear on eclipse ( in stab ) use the cudgel on blue moon use cudgel / obby shield ( cheap very effective ) on blood I use a whip/obby shield. Gear whole time is full Guthans / barrows gloves / obby shield( if not using warspear ) / fire cape /fury ( did with glory fine though) / dragon boots. I don't even have my zerker ring yet. Combat is 94 attack 75 strength 71 def 74. I do not have piety(68 prayer 😢) so I pray str. And defense but if it falls off don't panic just try to get it back when you can. Run to the next lit up moon in the middle of the second attack. Any other questions ask me I can clarify. Kind of rushed this wall of text but I'm excited to share a cheap effective way to farm this free of charge. All supplies gathered in dungeon.
I myself didnt like fishing and just hunted and cooked felt way quicker and less anoying. Also from what i read Dharoks seems to be very good for the bossfight and its "only" 5m RSN P074705474D
honestly the snow room looks interesting as it may hold some decent training for wox walking if you have to go more then a tile or two. so you can smaller wox walks at bosses like vorkath or similar bosses that require it (some quest bosses are a great example of where having it is a great benifit) RSN Foaly_117
not sure why people are having issues with blood moon mid level my iron ErikTenStorm did 9 in a row with verac skirt beiong the only tank armour piece my invent was 4/5 moon pots a d mace and rest bream this was no issue
Hey Kaoz and the community! Im a mid lvl player, 105 cmb, looking to get into higher tiers of PVM. I just got my full bandos, and im looking for a weapon upgrade/spec (currently using a whip only). I find it hard to decide what to go for, since there are so many options - DWH, fang, elder maul etc. Do you have any general recommendations?
To make Moons harder they should add some RNG mechanics that can make the run more frustrating and force you to restart the run. Good game design, it really weeds out the bad players from the good ones!

Both heal based on your level in skill. Lizards heal based on your cooking level and fish heal based on your fishing level. Both can heal up to 33 at 99 in the respective skills. Lizards are just better cause you can get 3 pieces of food from 1 raw lizard and you catch them much easier and faster than fish.
this quest and this activity is completely solo. Like barrows, you can see other players in the fight room, but they are not fighting with you. Its like multiple dimensions, one can see everything, but the boss is in a dimension of itself with a player. they are fighting their own and a player does 100% their own damage
Blood moon is my favorite. Got clapped 3 times doing quest until I figured out mechanics. Got spooned 3 uniques in 5 runs and probably about 20 runs dry for one since. :smadging: RSN Hawkback1329
Yeah this isn't true. I died a few times trying not to eat and killed by 3 hit combos because people said this. Throw on a shield instead of a defender. Less damage taken by blood equals less it heals so shield should give you faster kill rate.
@Gear_Babes comments is where its at literally everything in the video is not incorrect but just not accurate you can tell he's just ran through it max main with no thought put in. My guy just bought so low-level gear that he did one run with max levels and expects someone relevant levels to that equipment to be able to do the same.
Guys this is the simplest and lowest entry pvm ever released. You can do it in rune/dragon. Its an explanation of mechanics which are all you need to know, no matter the level.
@EminemLyrics393 but if Rune or Dragon was your best gear stats wise, you wouldn't be able to reliability complete a run. As for the lowest entry pvm released, did you forget about f2p bosses and scurrius?
@@mrjosh992 as long as you get the mechanics then yes you will reliably complete it even at 60-70s level gear. You have basically unlimited food, prayer and ability to use chivalry or such. Blood moon can be a little tough until you learn the mechanics because of how much it can heal and the fact defence is key, so rune body over fighters torso, shield instead of defender etc. Im pretty bad really at this game (still haven't managed a fire cape) and I had heaps of trouble early on, mainly bloodmoon, but its quite easy now. I have combat stats all 73-75 (att, def and str) and use whip, defender and rune kite. Neit helm, fury ammy, rune chest, dragon legs, barrows gloves, dragon boots,explorers ring.. I don't do any gear or weapon swaps except defender to shield atm for blood. As you can see my gear is very lower range. Also if you need a little better stats the sulphur naguas are great for training, grab some torags hammers or sulfur blades and the rip through well, im getting 80k+ combat exp per hour in my gear.
@jake8748 I have firecape and 70-74 stats in combat with 20+kc here. I use barrows gear and upgrades from you I have had blood moon down since the start and only get damaged from his attacks. I still see some kills go a full invent of food tho rarely now. Especially for someone with 60 combats using the gear he used in the video I wouldn't call it reliable. Doable yes reliable no.
