Beautiful view but as a geologist I was a bit concerned with you walking to the edge as the ground looked like perfect conditions for a landslide. Glad that didn’t happen.

Oh Slim, please don't sit, or even park, quite so close to hillsides that have active "creep" and landslides like that area appears to have, and especially when they're waterlogged! We don't want to lose you!!! Love your "storage" for the plastic solar, the door fix, the wiring to the Jakery, and you're whole little rig -- it's gorgeous! And the scenery, wow!!!

You have to travel to Alberta. Top 3 Canadian provinces in terms of beauty (even though the whole country is beautiful in its own ways - except for the big cities of course, yuk). Definitely worth the trip, you won't regret it haha.

Oh watching that cow moose cross was neat. She would normally cross at the shallow ford but it was swollen, so she chose the calmest and deepest spot. She knows she can swim the current easily, but doesn't want to be swept off her feet into boulders. So smart. Probably has done it for years. Maybe her mother taught her.

Slim The missing hair patches and what appears to be cuts on her sides are hoof marks she inflicts on herself in an effort to rid herself of blood sucking ticks that live on her all winter until their life cycle dictates that they drop off to lay their eggs in the leaf matter on the forest floor. Also her wanting to go into the deepest part of the river is also an action she takes to rid herself of the parasites. Hope this little bit of Alberta wisdom helps you down the road Slim. The farm girl in me giggles when I hear someone refer to a cow as a species. A cow is the female of certain species like Cattle, Moose etc.. ok, that's the animal husbandry lesson for the day. 😊

🤣 Back in college I had to explain why I was laughing so hard at a very corny HeeHaw joke about a "bum steer". It was a cow. My friend was from the Kansas City ghetto. So I had to explain the difference between a cow, a steer, and a bull. Evolved to Ewe, buck, ram... I admitted we didn't raise pigs, sow and bore were all I knew... And we didn't do fancy stuff with the chickens, we mostly had them for tick control as much as eggs, so hen and rooster. Explanation of why the third gender status was included. Then ... I had to explain why geldings.... 🤣😂🤣 As you can imagine... This was at 2:00 am while we were both doing laundry, which is also why we were watching HeeHaw........

Another awesome video and a ton of inspiration. I can't wait to get out there. Love your videos Slim! I never want you to stop, each video is like a little adventure, a little escape when otherwise I can't get away. I love the winter adventures, I thought more so than the summer, cause its so much harder and more you have to do to keep everything running, but now I don't know, I think I like the summer one's better. Nope. You know what, I think I love every season when it starts, but get tired of it by the end of that season and ready for the next. Each season has it's beauty, restful, birth of new life, and vibrancy. It's ALL good, Sun or Rain, Winter or Summer, Spring or Fall, every adventure has it's special quality. Keep it up Slip.

You are the most ingenious of men! Love the solar setup, very handy! Your moose footage was excellent, so clear and close. She did have some interesting scars- I thought perhaps she had fallen and slid down a rocky slope- but they are probably more surefooted than that... You are very handy with that camera as well.
