Tess wanted to give everyone a HUGE thank you for all of the amazing comments over the past several months. She has enjoyed seeing all of the love our community has for baby Elsie, and she truly appreciates the love you have shown for her throughout this process as well. ❤
So nice of you to share more about Tess and the pregnancy. Thrilled that you are parents to sweet Elsie and happy that you have such a wonderful cousin. God bless you all.
Tess is a selfless warrior, and no one deserves her amazing gift more than you guys! Love and hugs to all of you! As for those embryos... I totally get where you are coming from, but please consider adopting a unwanted baby as an alternative. I can tell you with sincerity that you will love it as if it were your own blood, no matter it's race or ability!
Tess, what you've done for your cousin is the most generous deed a woman can do. I am so glad you got through the hemorrhage and are well. God bless you, Jessica, Brian, and little Elsie.
Yes Tess has what a gift she has given as well she won’t be able to have any more children herself and that is sad if her and her husband had wanted to..🙏🏽
Tess seems like a truly delightful person! And what a gift she gave to you. I truly admire her for carrying Elsie for you for 9 months. That is the mark of a truly special person.
You are amazing Tess. There are not enough words to express how much I admire and respect your gift. As a retired maternity nurse I can picture the scene. Terrifying! I’m so glad you are doing well now.
My daughter was 19” long, and weighed just over 7 pounds at birth, but she quickly grew, and ended up being 6’ tall. She was not premature, either. So, weight and length at birth may not be much of a predictor of size. I am so glad everything worked out for all of you!
Wasn't Elsie a lucky girl to be nurtured for 9 months in such a happy, joyful person like Tess? And then to get the two most loving parents in Jessica and Brian ... that sweet baby girl is so fortunate. So happy for all of you!
Post party hemorrhages are definitely scary. I had one after my last child. I got 2 or 3 units of blood right after birth (all they had in my blood type). 10 days later I had another massive hemorrhage. I had 2 emergency surgeries and an additional 18 units of blood and plasma Thankfully, when it happened, an ambulance and fire truck where a few blocks from our neighborhood, heading back to the station after another call. The doctors said that if they had to come from the station, they would not have gotten to me in time. I do have brain damage due to lack of oxygen from the blood loss. I am truly so grateful for the ambulance/fire crew, hospital staff, and many many blood donors. I have been able to watch my children grow up, and now have children if their own. We now have 26 grandchildren and 2 grandchildren. I’m very blessed. May your journey as parents be a happy one. I am so very grateful. .
"Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." This video made me cry. Tess is an amazing person! So glad this had the happiest outcome! Elsie is beautiful.🩷
Pregnancy was so easy for me. I wanted to do surrogacy and told my husband that if I could carry a baby not related to me, I would do it in a heartbeat. That had not really become a thing back then. Now, if I were not grandmother age, I would do it in a heartbeat. Bless you, Tess!!! Hugs all around and kisses to Elsie!
Me too. Pregnancy was so amazing and if I could have it my way, I would just be pregnant my entire life (without the deliveries or babies!) I felt my best , there’s something really magical about pregnancy ❤
I can certainly see why you have such a connection with your cousin Tess! She is a delightful and joyful person with a giant heart!! Whew! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Thankful to be a blood/platelet/plasma donor for about 25 years now. I once met a woman whose husband required weekly transfusions as a cancer patient. That sealed the value for me.
Tess, as a woman who unsuccessfully struggled with fertility her whole life, what an amazing and beautiful gift you gave to the Krocks! May God richly bless you. 🙏
Tess, your kindness radiates from your face. The world would be a much better place if there would be more people like you. Honestly, that’s what true beauty is! So happy that Jessica and Brian found in you a match for their own loving and strong spirits - and that you’ve all been rewarded with that perfect little Elsie! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you
I didn't realize Brian was that tall. Sounds like little Miss Elsie is the PERFECT size and she is just beautiful. What a wonderful gift that Tess has given to you. A precious, selfless gift. Congratulations to all of you.
Tess you area selfless person, we need more people in the world like you. Jessica and Brian are so grateful for you and your thoughtfulness. Bless you and your family, just goes to show you, there are more good people out there than we know, what a beautiful gesture and a great role model for your children they should be so proud. Love your gift to your cousins we all celebrate Elsie she is loved by all. Bless you again, Thank you for sharing.
My mom was Elsie before the cow and she was irritated when it happened and started going by her middle name. Cows are beautiful creatures though. 🐄 Edited to say I hemorrhaged right after delivering one of my babies. My first hint was a high pitched noise no one else heard in the room. And then someone noticed the impressive visible blood. It took me weeks to recover. Tess rocks😊
My daughter Karen can relate to your mom's situation and feelings. She just legally changed her name, now her middle name is her first name and Karen is her middle name. I am sure you understand why.
What a blessing to be loved by Tess. This kind of selflessness is incredibly rare. Thank you Krocks for sharing your amazing journey(s) with us. I am so happy for you both. ❤️
Tess.. you're amazing to do this... The best gift ever.. Elsie is a strong name..my grandma's name was Elsie.. I keep you all in my thoughts and prayers..
I love the name Elise ❤ I had a sweet Aunt Elsie, when I was young we often spent Thanksgiving at her house, along with a lot of other relatives. The name Elsie makes me think of good memories!
Am so glad Tess is well. It had been a worry of mine when you said Tess had an emergency after Elsie's birth. You are a treasure Tess and I had been very concerned when I heard that your emergency was serious. Happy healing Tess 😊
Brian is looking handsome and proud. His smile is beaming with pride. Jessica is a beauty and her hair is so pretty. Love the cute curls❤. Such an adorable family. Absolutely adorable. ❤❤❤😊
Tess is so wonderful for doing this for you. The love you share will show forever. Little Elsie is so lucky to have the three of you. I am so happy for you.
This is so heart warming and Tess is the most amazing person in all ways. Tess, your smile lights up the room/camera. I love the connection between Jessica and Tess. Can't wait to see more of Elsie Clara as she grows. Brian, you are a joy.
I am very thankful that Tess came through her ordeal. My sister had the same thing happen in 1969 with my older nephew. How many units of blood did Tess need? My sister was given 8 units. My parents and aunt and uncle donated blood at that time. It was a very scary time and I was only 14. My sister had 2 more kids afterward. My younger nephew is just 17 months younger than his brother. So happy everything worked for you!
Tess that is a beautiful thing you did for them. May God Bless you for it. You're a wonderful person. May Elsie be the same, all of you are nice and kind people. It is such a gift, life is, you know not even the angel have had it. Peace to all. May your Holidays be supper special and joyful. Peace!
What an amazing gift Tess has given, to carry your child so that you can have a family! SUCH a selfless thing to do! So glad she survived the hemorrhage - how scary that must have been! It all makes a beautiful story of sacrifice and selflessness and joy. You guys should really consider writing a book! Elsie is such a pretty name. My grandmother had 2 bent pinkies, and my dad had 1. None of my 3 kids inherited it.
❤❤❤ My grandmother’s name was Elsie (Mabel) too. 🥰 Sending love and hugs from the UK to you Jess and Brian, Tess and her family and, of course the adorable squish that is Elsie Clara. 💖 xxx
Thank you for hsring your story with all of us. It is beautiful, and inspiring, especially after all you have been through, to have this happiest of endings. You were truly blessed with many miracles along the way. I don't discount any of the hardships, and heartaches you had to endured along the way, but what a beautiful rainbow you received after the storms you have weathered. There is no doubt in my mind the you will find the perfect surrogate to help bring your other babies to life. Tess is an ABSOLUTE angel for all that she has done, but you can see that is in here DNA, and I am sure that Elsie benefitted from all of the positive energy, and love she carries within her, and shared with her. I have cried many tears with you guys as you faced the challenges with Jess's diagnosis, treatments, and despair you went through, but today the tears are of pure joy and happiness. Wishing you all many many blessings. You all have so much to be thankful for. Happiest of Thanksgiving wishes from your Canadian neighbour.
One of my daughters is a surrogate. She is currently in the legal process on her 4th surrogacy. It's a wonderful blessing 🙌🏼 to be able to help others. Happy that everything has worked out for you all😊
So wonderful to get to know Tess and the gift of life she gave your baby. What a special cousin she is to have done this for you. What a blessing. Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels home with your new bundle of joy.😊
Elsie is a beautiful name, so many old fashion names are popular now. My daughter recently named her daughter Mary after her grandmother and great grandmother.
