I only found out about the changes today when I received a reply from Priority about the deceased partnership with my Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Card. Not a word from Scotia which would have left me wondering "what happened?" if I tried to access a Plaza Lounge. Thanks a lot for your video "Prince of Travel"! I now have the Dragon Pass card on my Visa Airport Companion App.
It gets more confusing as time goes on, not sure what cards to bring? just show up at the lounge and spread them out like cards and ask pick a card, any card? LOL
In Montreal, we used to have access to very good restaurants in each terminal with Priority Pass card. Now, with Dragon Pass, we have access to two lounges if travelling internationally, and almost nothing if we travel domestically or transborder to the US. Such a loss. Basically, I can use my Dragon Pass only if I travel internationally, most probably to Europe. Not in Canada or USA. Dragon Pass is not even available at most airports in the US. :(
Yesterday, I visited the YOW Aspire Lounge with my Priority Pass card. The staff admitting me told me starting July 1, Priority Pass will become DragonPass, but added that I should be okay if I have the Amex Platinum (which I do: I went for Platinum over Aeroplan Reserve during last summer's crazy sign up offer). So I went in to the lounge feeling confused, wondering if Priority Pass is losing more access. Thank for straightening this out!
This is so unfortunate. I fly from YVR to YYC once a month and won't have any access to any lounges in YYC. The Elevation Lounge will no longer be accessible and both the Aspire Lounges are in the International / USA side. :(
There are a bunch of restaurants listed on DragonPass recently from Canada. I am not talking about Visa or Mastercard by drangonpass (that gives you 20% off) I am talking about simple annual fee dragonpass. In Asia, it says a set meal is offered at a lot of restaurants and they look pretty nice especially ones in Japan but I find no infos in Canada. Did anyone get a meal and how was the experience?
LOL...Visa Infinite coming with 6 visits? In the Middle East (Dubai), Visa Infinite allows unlimited access to cardholders and they are also allowed to bring a guest for free. Even Visa Signature allows 12 visits per year. Mastercard World also allows unlimited visits via DragonPass while World Elite allows cardholder + guess, unlimited. Canadians are being taken for a ride by Visa and Mastercard.
Geez all this complication, to access often very average lounges that are little more than waiting rooms. I’ve streamlined all of this by flying Business and only using airline lounges and I’ve ditched all cards except American Express plus one no-frills and low fee MasterCard for emergencies.It’s actually soothing!
I'm still confused about something. Where do I sign up with DragonPass with my TD VIP to get the 6 free visits? I'm leaving in a trip this week and wanted to set it up before leaving.
Experiences difficulties using DP at TPE, Everrich lounge cannot use DP, asked to call DP for authorization, while plaza premium TPE was working ok for entry

And if i do that, do you know if with the "Preferential" option, the 8 visits are only for the person that buy the pass or i can go with other person and count of the 8 visits? Thanks in advance

If you’re in the USA often enough, it might make sense to invest some effort into establishing and building some US credit history. Then, You’ll have then some more interesting premium card offering accessible to you, without any drama, visit limits, and much better reward rates.
I am confused. If I have 2 unused Priority Pass entries from Scotia's VI Passport card, as of July 1st, they will become 2 DragonPass entries or will disappear and I will get 6 DragonPass entries instead? Thank you!
They should disappear and you will get 6 DragonPass entries. Not sure if it will be a matter of showing the card or signing up through DragonPass though.
OK, I need clarity because I’m confused😂. So I’ll be transmitting in Vancouver in September from Australia doing to Mexico, will I be allowed access to these loungers with my priority pass or not? You kept referring to Canadians so it’s unclear if this affects other travel

Wondering the same as I downloaded the dragon pass app but Canada isn’t listed as an option right now. I’m guessing this will change effective July 1, but I’m flying just a few days later and not sure what to do.
Hi there thanks for the great content. I have a question I have 3 cards the gives me access to 14 visits and my spouse is an authorised user on all can I also sign her up and end up with 28 total? No one seems to want to answer that question? Any ideas? Thanks
Does anyone know if you'll get a physical card (like we did with Priority Pass) or will they just swipe/ check your partner credit card (like Plaza has been doing during this past stop gap year from June 2021 - 2022)? If its the former, has anyone with the Scotia Visa Infinite Passport tried registering yet as there are no instructions on the Scotia website.
With BMO WE (not ascend branded) will it be able to swipe to get into plaza premium lounge ? - free as part of 4 free loungekey passes ? After July 1, 2022 ?

Hey Ricky. I got my scotiabank visa passport infinite 10 months ago, and my 6 priority pass visits have transferred to dragonpass. Since i’m trying to avoid the annual fee upcoming, will downgrading to a no annual fee card allow my dragonpass to stay active until next year?
