The fact that they didn't come to this solution in the first place is what worries me the most as a British main. It's borderline blatant disregard towards a single nation. It doesn't break the game and gives a decent QoL change to a nation that doesn't have many top tier players in the first place.
Nope, OP ASF, dont even, 16km ripple launch in the state the game is now, you kidding me??? Pansir could barely deal with that and imagine if u just shot 3 at a flarakrad bus, it cxant even shoot them down and reload in time to shoot the 3rd....
@@dnfluffles772 the counter to these fire and forget jets is fast capable air. Instead of having to buff ground AA you have plenty of planes that can counter this bus. Try notching in a tornado, almost impossible.
@@dnfluffles772 fun fact, it's already impossible to defend against the su25sm3 or pretty much any CAS pilot that has half a brain, but you know who can out range spaas without even needing strategy? Russia
There are many, many planes in game that already have fire and forget AGMs, I understand limiting certain real world features for the sake of balance but this seems like a massive over-correction. Just make them function like IR/TV guided ordinance and I could live with that, but this is a bit ridiculous.
@@KauppaKomissaari Again, just make it function like an IR/TV even if that means it can be defeated with smoke. It's completely asinine to gimp the Brimstone this hard.
@@b.c.2281 i know but thats why it propably isnt getting its full capability because imo itd be stupid to make it tv or ir if it doesnt have that capability it is dumb but i dont care
@@KauppaKomissaari What? The GR.4 didn't use Brimstone III's which are the first laser guided Brimstones, So not only is this unhistorical and incorrect its also a blatant and ridiculously unfair gimp. IR would of be a sufficient enough nerf without going to the extremes to which the did.
@@bootlegpete7984 im daying gaijin doesnt want to make them ir propably because it isnt a fucking ir missile and if the gr4 didnt use it report it i dont care enough to do that because i dont play there
I dont think people understood LOAL means Its not just “fire&forget” like agm 65 or kh38ml. LOAL stands for lock on after launch kh38 got lock on before launch(lobl) Single tornado can fire off dozens missiles without ever seeing the enemy targets or the battlefield. The missiles will find their own targets. Not forgetting the fact that it carries like 12 of them
@@derbe8647 fire and forget missiles existed before the spikes, look at agm 65 added way before that They will come when there will be something to counter it
@@Adailyteaconsumer please, tell me what there is to counter the kh-38mt and pantsir, the currently hold a monopoly over range of literally all systems currently in-game
gaijin continuing to add modern things but then realising that modern weapons are meant to kill you without you knowing that you are being looked at and that being unfun for a game, whatever could the solution for that be?
The issue is that the tornado can carry so many. On wikipedia, a Tornado can carry 12, but in reality, it can carry 18 without the lightning pod. Each one will kill a tank because the warhead is 180mm so it will get the spall buff. Each tank has no clue that they are being fired upon. If they were to make them fire and forgot, in order to keep them fair, the tornado should have a tiered system where the more brimstones you carry, the more it costs to spawn. However that means they will have to update the current system to implement it and with their spaghetti code, there is no way they are able to do it. Another issue is that the Gr.4 should be carrying AIM-132 ASRAAM over the AIM 9M for self defense, but since the ASRAAM maybe too overpowered at the moment, I can see why they are just giving them the AIM 9M.
Just assume the worst and let even one Brimstone be hilariously expensive. It’s still a fkin LOAL missile, and honestly why would you only bring a partial load anyways?
Why would asraam be op? Itll basically just be an r-73 with an aim-9m seeker. Not game breaking when you take into account the platform and how heavily nerfed irccm missiles are. Magic 2 should have both fov restrictions and aim 9m seeker shutoff along with 50g duel plane maneuverability yet it only has fov restricting right now.
lol, the hellfire doesnt have nearly as much tnt as you think it does, its about 15 pounds of it, it is very easy to survive hellfire shots I have shot them at tanks and have been hit with them
@@t65bx25 A mixed loadout allows me to fill up all weapon slots. The brimstones can be mounted on the back and I can put 2 gbu's in the front and wing pylons.
issue being mavericks and kh38 can be defeated using smoke or driving next to a dead tank while brimstones are just certain death and a lot of players don't realise that russia does not get many of the things they should have like targeting pods on Su-27SM and MiG-29SMT
su-34 will have 6 kh-38s and they have a thermal system in them, also you realize that hellfires don't have an assload of TNT right? the kh-38mt lands like 200 meters from you and you will still be obliterated, including the fact that it has iog, so even if you break the kh-38s lock it will continue in that general area rather than exploding
So to sum up, Britain doesnt get long range fire and forget wapons because it will be unbalanced......yet they give more than 1 fire and forget weapon to russian planes and it's not unbalanced or a problem....riiiight, tell me there is no russian bias again
you know whenever I see like a new aircraft for top tier air or ground, I'm always glad that I don't play top tier partly do because people just have to look at you and you die, but the Russian prototype premium tank looks good, (Oh yeah in a snazzy I just want to apologise for that stream Before I was looking at the right screen When you were typing in are you ready Honey I was looking at the wrong one Which is my mistakes since it's that was my first time being invited to a match so are yeah I'm sorry about that).
If an SU-25 that most will not even know is there launches its Kh-38MT from +12km at you, what counterplay is there? I can see that Brimstone's full capabilities would be OP, but they at least add TV or IR guidance to it instead.
The tornado ids still can’t lock tanks with its ship radar and can’t guide its antiship missiles into tanks even though irl it could since tanks are bigger then some of the boats the radar is designed to pick up.
