I Love the happy mistake! Wow I just love that decoupage that you did. Please don’t be upset because it’s so beautiful you’re inspiring me to do something like this. I really love what you made - new subscriber here. Thank you for the video.
Welcome! Thank you so much Kelly! I am so glad you like it. I think I was more upset with myself not checking to see what spray can I had. I am glad I didn't have to start over.
Looks like you scored some FAB finds, Shelly! And, I can totally relate to getting down, and wondering how to get back up. The struggle is REAL! My husband and I tease each other all the time about that. TFS!
That circular candle is called a courting candle the parents would adjust the candle for the time length of the date When the candle burned down to the desired ring the date was over. Time for the young man to go home. Loved the bird picture.
Thank you Donna! I knew it was something like that, but I didn't want to say it unless I was wrong. I am glad you like the bird picture, it is growing on me.
I agree I had a love-hate relationship with the floor also. The black metal holder would look great with two mason jars with pump dispensers for hand soap and hand lotion on the bathroom sink. I also love the churches.
I really felt that comment when you said " I was really ready to be done with it" I have been there so many times. But you powered on and it looks great!
Some projects make me feel that way and challenge me all the way. I was wondering if I was going to have to start over with it. I am glad you like it. 😊
I, too, have a love - hate relationship with the floor! I think the decoupage piece came out very nice. The black spray paint just added another layer of dimension.
Shelly you got some awesome finds! I love the half barrel! The picture you said you goofed and didn’t like, I love that too! Can’t wait to see what you do with everything. Happy New Year to you and your family! 🥰❤️🎊🎉❄️
Thanks Terry! The picture is growing on me. I think it was more that I didn't pay attention to what I was spraying. Spacing it I guess. I am glad you like it and I can't wait to get started with more projects this year. Wishin you and yours a happy, healthy 2024!
Great haul!! I can very much relate to the struggle of getting off thr floor - becoming older isn't for sissies. Happy New Year's - may it be a happy and blessed one for you and yours. Paula
Did you sand your stamp first with 220 grit sand paper? You have to lightly sand your stamps just before the first time you use them ❤ gives them tooth for the paint or ink...
Where do you live that you go to a dump! Free shack? Thank you for sharing your mistakes, spray paint. It makes me feel better that everyone makes mistakes 😂
I am in Maine. I wish all dumps had an area that would do this. I think it would cut down on trash that isn't really trash. I was sad about this mistake, but it's growing on me.
Happy New Year Shelly 🍾🎉🎊🎆 I'm so looking forward to seeing what you bring us in 2024. You've become my #1 favorite, and I enjoy every Diy along with just hanging out, seeing your finds, and get a kick out of your transparency! Thanks a million!!! 🌹
Happy New Year!! I am hoping this year will be more fun and crafting than last.I am so glad you are enjoying my channel, and I appreciate your wonderful comments and support. You're the best!
Just found your channel. Girl I got you. It's horrible when things don't plan out the way we want but I absolutely love the end result of the framed print with clay birds . And I agree with you the black frame looks better than the white. I think your "happy accident" really added to the age . It looked really weathered. Absolutely loved it. Don't beat yourself up girl I am like that too but we shouldn't be. You're amazing can't wait to binge watch u. Ok back to the video. ,✌🏼❤️🙏🏼🎉🇨🇦🥳🙌🏼
Welcome and Thank You! I was so upset with myself for doing that, but it turned out well in the end. I am so glad you are enjoying my channel and projects. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the comments. Happy 2024!
Love your thrift haul! I don't find anything like your haul at our Goodwills. As for getting off the floor, I watch Linda Vater on RU-vid, who said the way she stays limber at 67 is to get on the floor and get up several times a week. I thought that was simple and ingenious, and will start doing that as I'm 59 and getting stiffer with age.😂
I understand about getting up off the floor and being so frustrated with a craft. I have tremors really bad and had a total melt down on a craft one day. I gave it a rest and when I took my glucose count, it was off the charts. Ended up in the ER. Totally not worth getting sick over!
Oh gosh, sorry to hear that. We can get so invested in our projects, but I need to remember that I do this to relax and be calm. I hope you are feeling better. Have a happy, healthy 2024 😊
When I'm in the floor I look around to see if there's anything else I can do while I'm down there, like clean the baseboards or something. I know that's an old joke but it's definitely true since I've gotten older.
Hi shelly. I love he half barrel. It's so pretty the way you styled it. Sorry about your doggie. I enjoyed seeing all your great finds. Have a happy new year.
It was a gardenia garland I believe. It was a good haul, I think I got some good stuff. I'm glad you like the bird picture. It is growing on me. I think I'm more upset I grabbed the wrong spray. It all worked out in the end. Thank you for your support. Happy 2024!
Oh boy, I almost did. 🙁 I definitely was upset with myself. It took me a minute to realize it was another teaching moment to show we all make mistakes and to forgive ourselves. Happy 2024!
Hello Shelly! Oh, my heart ached when I heard you say you spayed your picture with black paint instead of a clear coat. However, it didn't turn out bad. You scored some great items at Goodwill and the dump. Looking forward to see what you create for us in 2024. Take care and God bless 😊
Thanks Terri, my heart sank when I did it. I will call it a win and move on, but hopefully I will learn from this and check the darn can before spraying. lol I am planning many more fun projects. Thank you for your support and encouragement. 💕
@RepurposedMyWay I've done things like that too. I made a gift this Christmas and when I attached it to the picture frame it was upside down. I had to cut the back of the frame off, turn it around and reattach it. I had to laugh so I wouldn't cry. Just like your mishap, it turned out fine and I accepted it😜😘
