I purchased this bookcase from MurphyDoor.com and installed it a few years ago. Cost was about $1,000. I installed it in my closet and it hides a small room just off the closet.

It is a little heavy but you could leave it open unless needed.

Is the hinge side similar to hardware from a bifold door, or is there a unique hardware system to "pin" the hinge side and where is it available?

The hinge is a high quality piano hinge that goes almost the entire length of the bookcase.

@@BobPendley Thanks Bob. I assume that's the connection between the two cabinets. Is this the same way it is connected to the wall? If so, it appears, along with the track system, simple and effective. If there is is pivot point at top and bottom, it would be nice to know what type that is. Again, thanks and I find it a great project.
