Hey Aquamigos! I made some more progress to the backyard koi pond build! I finished gluing down all the concrete wall caps and I tested out how I'm going to fill in all the gaps between the bricks. We're getting there!

Hey Aquamigo, it's looking great! What an awesome idea to use that tape. I would have never thought of it. I love how you think outside the box, and challenge every aspect of this project. Thanks so much Aquamigo! I'm surprised how well the tape actually worked out. I guess since it is the stronger type of masking tape, it worked perfectly. I'm not sure if it would have worked with the blue colored masking tape. and thanks so much, I sure hope this pond lasts a life time 😊

Pond is looking great and working that heat can’t be easy .. we’ll done Tobias👊🏼 I’m currently in the works of knocked down my raised pond and move it to another location in garden .. due to future work being done to house need the pond future back 😅 so much work to be done 🙈 the thought of digging another hole 🕳️ is not fun lol

Thanks so much! Yeah the heat definitely makes things difficult, but for just 1 to 2 hours in the shade, it's not terrible. Best of luck with moving your pond! That sounds like quite a bit of work! But it's one of those things that just needs to be done and I agree, at this point the thought of digging definitely does not sound fun lol

Hello from 🇬🇧. Nice pond but why not build a wooden shelter around part of it? That will keep a lot 💩 from getting into it & partly shield them from the sun. I know it's more work but it will be worth it.

Good to hear! I'm doing well too! Yeah every once in a while I watch the videos from when I first started. It's crazy to think this used to just be a little empty patch of dirt lol

I'm a little concerned about the liner. All that hard work fitting the coping stones,and the liner may split. Rubber liner all the way 👍

Thanks so much Aquamigo! I've had some ideas for when I finish the pond, where I'll break down certain steps of the pond build and make some "how to videos". For example, "how to install a bottom drain". Stuff like that, that might be helpful to people. I'll probably do another video where I'll show the pond build start to finish in one video, and then after that I think I might do other videos, like my experiences with the new pond, like getting new fish, which filter media has worked out the best for me, getting the water perfectly clear. Then maybe I'll have to make adjustments to the filtration over time. Eventually I might even start swapping in like more professional koi pond filtration instead of my DIY stuff, which I'll make videos of. I think I'm probably also going to do a bit of landscaping around the pond. So I think I have a lot of content in store for even when I finish the pond build😊
