The reason why the top ones have more money in them is because people don’t want to bend over to load and unload them

Need to put numbers on the washer machines for repairs jobs to the keys. For the snack machine ask people what they would like to see inside it. Good to hear that people are happy with the upgrades. Keep looking you will find the washers.

I know you need the wall space for washers, but it looks so much better with the folding tables against the wall. Maybe it looks different in person, but it looked so tight with the tables in the middle.

Might want to put a suggestion box so customers can put notes on what they like for you. Or something like a google number that can accept texts. Texting orVoice messages are good to have in case someone has an issue at the car wash or laundry. Those machines with the warranties seem like a decent deal. Just need to know the logistics on what happens if a repair is needed. Could sell the antique dryers and use that money towards upgrades. I am learning from you since this is something I plan to do also.

Just moving that table made the place more inviting. I have a feeling once the soda machine is fixed/replaced it will be a decent seller, maybe even bringing in some foot traffic.

The old dryers look so much better painted. The whole place looks way better. Business should get better soon. If I lived there I'd do my laundry there now. Before I wouldn't. Before it looked so neglected. I wouldn't have trusted those machines but now with new paint and floors, the eyes can fool the brain thinking the same old machines work better. Good job

I found that laundromats the smaller top loads are around $1.50 to $2.50 a load. The bigger machines took longer than top loads and cost $6.00 to $9.00 per load. I compared the run time for both and if new and fast its better for front load. Recently we used a laundromat at a campground it was the small price $1.50 for both washers but the front loader was faster. The dryer prices were $1.50 for newer one older on was. $1.25 and took less time. We spent $6.00 total on our loads. We spent total about $9.00 between 2 ppl washing at the same time

There are machines that only use "pay range" app that you set up on your phone, scan the QR code and machine starts. Don't have to empty quarters. No idea of cost.

On your question at the end, about "do we rent? do we have an attendant live there?" ..... I do think most businesses, in general, need SOMEONE attending, even if there's only one lone employee for the company (like, lets say, the manager), especially when it's something like a laundromat. Because, imagine going to a library, and there's no library aide, or anyone, to help out. Or, to a store, and there's no one there for when you have a question about an item. Or, if you can't get through to city hall for ANYTHING. And then, if something happens, like if the pipes burst (again, especially being a laundromat), who handles it, if there's no one working there TO handle it? So, I'd say it would be wise to have the apartment be reserved for an attendant. But, that's just my opinion.

Great progress! Step by step, it’s getting to be less of a vintage redrum room. Paint works wonders!

Given the size of the laundromat, you could take out one of the big dryers and put in a large-capacity washer there - though two large-capacity dryers are a good thing. I'd keep most of your top loaders, take out all but one of the 1.50 washers (the small load) and add in a single large capacity washer. There's a very old laundromat down the road from me that has a decent set up - still using dryers from the 70s (in those lovely 70s colors) - serving a town of about 1200 - they recently upgraded some washers - still have a good amount of top loaders, but added in a few 20 and 30 pound washers, and one that's 40 pounds - front loading. They charge about 5-6 bucks for the big ones. I can pop over there tomorrow and get a better count - I am East Coast rural so the prices might be less than what you could charge in Colorado.

The bottom dryers are difficult to get your clothes out of especially for some older or disabled folks. Thats probably why they dont make as much money.

I wonder how loud it would be hanging out in your apartment watching TV while the car wash is being used. Love the laundro/wash videos as apparently do others. Right now you have over 20% of people who watch liking the video which is an unheard of metric on YT. I think you need to put about 4-6 Wyze or Blink cameras around the place and record motion alerts on each machine that has questionable revenue. Those old washing machines are drinking natural gas and providing almost no revenue while being loved by the users. Apparently there is a known method for using them for free. And that is an issue that you need to solve. A $30 camera with a microSD card is all you need to find out what is going on assuming you have WiFi at the establishment. I've never done laundry in my life at a laundromat but I can imagine if I did in 2023, I would expect free WiFi. So perhaps add free Wifi for guests and then use a WiFi camera to catch them cheating you. It (your internet service for guests) should pay for itself by helping you avoid "leakage".

I hope you can find a new soda machine soon. I only know myself, but I am much more likely to buy soft drinks than candy, especially in the summer. I thought those kinds of machines were provided by (and restocked by) Pepsi/Coca-cola themselves?

Love your videos but just a technical comment... The background noise really drowns out what you're saying. I'd keep the voiceovers and take the background volume and lower it a lot. Again, I watch all of your videos so don't take it personal.

Before you buy new washers check the power rating. Some of those washers you clicked on needed 3 phase power. Is there 3 phase power service to the building? The current washers you have are single phase 110v

Make the lower dryers cheaper as a way of getting people to use them. That’s what my laundry mat does.

you have some hand written stickers in the car wash. i think it looks cheap and it needs to be replace at least to a new one.

I can't see the prices on the stuff in the vending machine, but maybe they're too high for what the item is, it's size.

Are you cleaning out the lint traps on the dryers? Replace the badly hand written directions with printed signs.

Actually it’s the opposite! The old machines are very efficient that is why they don’t make as much money. I’d suggest at least one big washer for quilts. Have you actually used/run any of the machines yourself?

So I’ll tell you if I walked in and saw those dirty machines I’d walk right back out. Send someone in to do a deep scrub on them.

For future consideration. Do away with the front entrance to the apartment and capture that space fo the laundromat. If you need two points of egress for the apartment then cut a door in the side wall in the bedroom.

Imo there may not be a need for a large capacity washing machine. They will barely get used since most cheaper comforters can fit in standard machines nowadays.

Do they sell timers that collect coins for metering the wash sink like your car wash? People will use the sink to clean up at your dime. Just a thought. What do I know?

All laundrettes not being manned have CCTV that records in the shop.There was an old camera and tv in the back.Your Laundrette seems far to cheap compared to UK Laundrettes.

You know it would help if you had a different system on your washers and dryers like my apartment complex. You buy like a little debit card and put money on it and then slide it into the washing machine or dryer and it's all done without quarters
