@@dave9456 MK2 chopper ruled my world. Got one for my 9th birthday in 1973. I rode that bike right through the 70s virtually everyday. Until it fell apart. Theres never been anything like a M2 chopper and now they are making them ELECTRIC. OH YEAH!!!!!

Afternoon, Wanting to get some help around getting my first ebike... I want something that potentialy at the flick of a button or app I can go from a restricted 250W 15mph Road legal up to about 28mph and access to more motor power? I've been looking at the super 73 Zx as see this is a option however no doubt something that looks like that is just going to result in being stopped by cop cars and traffic cops for inspection every 5mins as it does look like a Scrambler, However like the fact the app allows for a power upgrade of modes. Is there something else that has this option that I can buy as I wana be able to tick the road legal box if stopped by a traffic unit and not face a fine etc but be able to have access to more power and speed should I want it on "Private roads" wink wink. The lower the budget the better as even the super 73 Zx at £2400 is a bit steep. Any help and advice would be amazing on what options there are I could go for. Thanks and keep up the good work and RU-vid channel. Hope in the future the government will legally allow at least 20mph ebikes and not 15mph.
I have been thinking about the same thing, like a quick way to lock out the higher assist modes, I have a 1000watt middrive bafang with the standard controler, it will max out at around 50 kms on the flat, and 65 -70 down hill, if using the throttle only, as soon as you pedal the controler limits the speed to 50 kms. If on assist level 9, the assist levels can be programed-speed & amps To what ever you want within the capabilites of the controler with the exception of the speed limit, unless there is some good at programing and can hack the firmware to bypass the speed restriction.
You might want to learn how to use an angle grinder. It makes long seat posts short! I dunno mate, I was kind liking the BMX look. I'm knee high to a grasshopper, so a small low bike would suit, but anyone approaching 6ft would struggle on that...

I think that this might be the best mod I've seen on the engwe, too bad that this mod might not be for me since I'm 6,1 🙄 but definitely eye candy. Love it.

If you use your original seat tube and seat clamp you can reverse the clamp to sit higher, sort of inside the saddle which will lower the saddle position

Engwe do thier own handle bar mod now I bought some and it's so easy to fit.. love the seat and as above handle bar grips to match would really finnish it off

yes someone whp understand lower seat mdan safer but faster bike. i see alot of peope extend their bike seat way too high where even of their very tall their feet does not reach the floor xD
Would you be able to kinda explain the difference between direct drive and geared because I used to have 250w geared motor but I obviously melted it and now running a 2kw direct drive with out 6kw peak power and the torque is insane but I don't really know what difference having a geared motor would make and I'm going to be starting another build soon so would love some advice. Thanks
A geared mid drive allows you to have a wider range of gear ratios, a hub drive on the other hand, draws loads of power from a start until cruising (or until the battery can’t provide the sufficient power).. mid drive, you get to change gears and make it easier to ride since a hub drive changes how a bike handles since the weight could be in the rear wheel (or front, will change how your bike steers)… mid drive, being titled as such, your weight is in the middle of the bike.
I know I’m rambling lol 😂 but I just realized I’ve built around 100 electric bikes out of junk. I’ve never bought any new parts lol 😂 Except throttles . I wish I was able to vocalize knowledge like u do love ur channel thanks .
The eskut bike you have Andy put the pedal assist in level 1 then go down one more time to 0 and the throttle will work 👍 btw take the restriction off the speed its very easy
@@davecrewe9074 1st unscrew the cover inside the battery bay at the top! when you take OUT the battery. 2nd pull out the silver controller box then unplug the speed wire its a simple connector you can unplug. 3rd put everything back screw back in place then have fun 👍
Love the videos btw just curious as a current bike rider I have a cube 625 but what sort of range does something like this have with absolutely no pedalling ? Always up for a little no effort riding about for fun and what’s the top end speed as standard ? Sorry if you’ve posted this before
What quill measurements did you get? I got 22.2mm on the insert that I'd correct for my bike but the stem part at the top is 28.6mm and it's too small and the bmx stem to clamp on, IV seen 33.8mm but don't want to buy it wait and it be the wrong size
I got a 1000w Tesgo Strength, looks just like yours, and it's silver/grey. I put the same seat and brown grips on mine to match the brown saddlebags I got and boy is she a head turner now! Apparently we have the same taste.😁👌 My helmet and some of my gear is that grey/black camo so I was wondering what's that jacket your wearing @4:09 ? U can use the same battery just use two boost converters in parallel I had an issue once with regen I put huge diodes on that bike . DC-DC Converter Module Boost DC Step Up Voltage Regulator CV Stabilizer Power Supply Module 10-60V to 12-97V 1500W 30A u can find them on Amazon the higher amp ones are more expensive. I have no money lol so I ran two hover board batteries each with a boost converter . At the time I didn’t even know what regen was lol but I’m not sure if the cheap ones work good with current reversal. I charge my batteries directly I didn’t have a bms so I used a hobby charger. U basically can turn a 36v battery into 72v The higher voltage less amps the controller needs so the lose in energy isn’t much. I’m not a RU-vidr lol but the bike is on my Channel .
