Boring Tunnel: Quick count-up of segment stacks; About 180 stacks on site, = 90 rings, = 135m. Currently about 185m completed. therefore total 310m worth of segments. So all the segments should now be on site to complete the tunnel to the edge of the extension building.

Thanks Brad! HDD bore, speculated fiber optic duct-bank: @ 0:21 (Bottom left) Small vault in excavation. @ 5:39 Likely end of the HDD bore with 4 flexible conduits or fiber optic cables sticking out. @ 0:58 (Bottom) Laying 2 conduits in duct-bank trench heading west. To meet up with the HDD bore @ 5:39 @ 5:31 (Bottom right) Pull box with conduit risers sticking up. Cooling structure: @ 2:31 Continued work erecting steel structure on top of the concrete platform. This is NOT scaffolding. @ 4:22 Pipe sections on the roof to be mounted in the pipe supports. Very long pipe run appears to end right where the new tanks were built on the other side of the wall. Pond: @ 2:38 Continued fill. Pond clearly split into two parts. A small dry pond and the existing wet pond. Data center: @ 4:59 Speculating that the data center, if built, will be below in the 3 story section of the building. Secure location, and away from the glass. EOL facility: @ 11:49 Appears that they are replacing a section of an existing water main as part of the hookup to the city water supply. Notice there were trenches were made towards the homes. Another view of the work @ 12:07 New power supply to the factory: Northside of Tesla road: @ 13:09 Laying new conduit west over the utility easement. 12 conduits per duct-bank. @ 13:18 Concrete pour complete over these duct-banks. Northside of casting: @ 14:00 Something unusual here. Right duct-banks appears to have only 8 conduits instead of 12. That is, unless it is 3 layers (3 x 4) at this point.

Thanks Brad 0:34. GA, apron. Bottom right. Tricyclist working hard. 0:56. Southend, west. Inside. Stormwater drain works parallel to the tunnel alignment have been buttoned up. Apron. Electrical conduit trench to the right. 1:25. Southend, west diagonal. Turned the corner with the glazing. 1:58. Southend, south. 6 crates of the parapet wall glazing visible in the reflection. 2:26. Southend. Cooling platform structure. As mentioned elsewhere by HarderNL and Elton Ray, this turns out to be a conventional cooling tower structure. Possibly manufactured by EvapTech a subsidiary of Evapco. Frame material likely FRP (fibre-reinforced polymer/plastic). Evapco fan units stored across the Westside may be planted on top. 3:06. Parking Garage. Top centre. 96” 2.4m stormwater drains being extended west. 5:40. Southend, west. Perimeter road. Black cables drapped out of the excavation. 11:48. Westside. Far west. Residential estate. Saddle Rock Drive. 2 trenches were marked. 2nd may be for a Sanitary Sewer Force Main. Or the trench was marked incorrectly. 12:48. Tesla Road, north. Top right. Ductbanks encased in concrete. Very close to ground level/grade. 13:56. Casting, north. Apron. Office trailers ready for removal. 14:00. Casting, diagonal corner. Apron. Cast in-situ vault heavily altered on the south side. 14:15. Casting, east. Bottom right. Wall panel about to be cut for additional door opening/s. Track mounted demolition saw attached to the wall. Apron. Mud base complete. 15:21. Crash Test Track. Dunking pit covers in place. 16:24. Far north, storage. Left. Loading platform from the southend of GA. Recently moved from the east contractors yard.

0:56 conduit trench and 5:40 excavation. Guessing that these will meet up. Also guessing that the black things sticking up out to the excavation are flexible conduit or fiber optic cable. Though I could be wrong.

0:56/5:40 Also see the second duct-bank further south, where it enters the building in Joe's video 4/15/24 at the 21: 17 timestamp. Guessing both duct-banks, two conduits each will connect to the HDD bore @ 5:40

@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn 0:56. Looks like grey conduit in the trench. Assume that would be regular electrical cabling. Might have HDD bored for these as well, just not as obvious as the orange flexible conduit. There was black conduit/pipe also seen in the HDD bore a week ago. Fibre optic cable is generally blue down here in sunny Melbourne.

@@DessieDoolan 0:56/5:40 I would agree except the trench is going to connect under the road to the HDD bore. As seen @ 0:06 (Bottom right). And.... Didn't they bore under the road in that very spot the other day? Then look at Joe's video 5/8/24 at the 14: 38 time stamp. With at least 3 orange conduits sticking out of the excavation, and 6 more spools of orange conduit sitting on trailers by the excavation. There is also orange conduit in other parts of the bore. Here, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong.... Orange conduits often carry fiber optic cables. It does seem confusing because black conduit has been seen in the HDD bore as well. Could it be that the black conduit is HDPE, pulled through the bore, and used as a sleeve for the orange conduit? Also, consider the main power duct-banks that feed power to all the buildings. Along with the large grey conduits that carry the medium voltage (MV) cables.... There are smaller grey conduits that go around all the vaults, and have small pull boxes. Speculating that these are for fiber optic cables as well.

@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn 0:56. The idea of the different colours for different utilities is to avoid confusion. Grey conduit has been used exclusively around site the site for power. They may be pulling multiple utilities through mulitiple bores. No reason why they can't share a vault either.

Brad... Thanks so much for the views of the HDD bore 5:39 (Bottom), and 0:06 (Bottom right)! If there is any way you can check on this from time to time, that would be great. Doesn't have to be every flight. I realize there is a lot to cover. Also, a view a little further south of 5:39 where there is another HDD excavation would be great. The reason this has importance is the orange conduits seen in the bore, though not on this video. These often carry fiber optic cables. A critical element for a data center, along with power (Seen being added on the north end), and cooling. Thanks. Also, thanks for covering the water main at the west end of the EOL site!

I feel like the length of the tunnel could be calculated by looking at how many stacks of liners are left outside. It looks like each stack has 3 pieces of the 6 it takes for one section. Or maybe how much is left to dig could be calculated. I'm not sure how long each section is, but as the piles reduce, we are that far from the other end......
@davidsalisbury50

each ring is 60', 5-feet, 1.52m. But they don't seem to have all on site yet. Drone flights usually miss the deliveries, but if you watch one video compared to the next there are usually new stacks from recent deliveries. I think they now have all the segments on site. Best way to measure the advance is the rise in the white beam inside the conveyor cassette stack, as it rises the tunnel extends 26x the rise.
@davidsalisbury50
@davidsalisbury50 14 дней назад
from 4th May conveyor cassette beam has risen about 1.4m, which = 26 x 1.4 = 36.5m. Estimated length on 4 may was 150m, so now 186.5m advanced. Which puts the TBM cutterhead in the middle of the embankment of the highway on the far side. At 5:38, just to the left of and below the two white boards at the side of the highway. 1m high black poles with white tops show the centerline of the tunnel, with another 2 poles about 5m each side.

@@davidsalisbury50 If you watched every video you would have noticed that initially the spoils from the tunnel were red, then they turned black, then red again, as they dig through the central median, now it is black again so under the east lanes of the freeway. When it turns reddish again, i think they will be close to the eastern side of the road and about 50 meters from the factory. The white markers could be anything but if showing the path of the tunnel would show it entering the original factory not the extension, which would make more sense.
@davidsalisbury50
@davidsalisbury50 13 дней назад
@@palmtreeshenanigans I don’t think the colour of spoil gives a clear indication of alignment, depth or distance without a geological section and a knowledge of the TBM depth. The white markers are in arrays of 3 along the alignment. They are typical settlement arrays (I would insist on 5 but I don’t work for the Texas Highways authority). They are in direct alignment with the gap in the extension perimeter wall. My estimates of production distance are just that. But they have double checked with things like the umbilical lengths, conveyor belt lengths, backup deck lengths and overall segment consumption (a bit hard to estimate without knowledge of deliveries). In the next day or so we should see the loaded ventilation cassette taken into the tunnel and the empty one removed. That would be if my estimates on the tunnelled distance is correct.
@davidsalisbury50
@davidsalisbury50 13 дней назад
@@palmtreeshenanigans we may not be talking about the same white markers. I mean the tiny white dots on the top of the black poles, in arrays of 3 along the assumed straight alignment.

Working conditions in texas is abysmal. Why do planners not plan, and get the full road layout completed so dust is not a major issue. and no it is not because of the new construction this was a problem before they broke ground with the new construction, dust and dirt on 100 000 cars shows workers don't really care about their job and who can blame them when the conditions they work in are so damn bad. No wonder American manufactured cars are shunned by other countries, no wonder Europeans don't want American manufactured teslas but wait for them to come from the German factory or the Chinese factory, imagine your output being vastly inferior to that in china a country known for selling inferior products. I look at the conditions tesal workers are forced to live with compared to germany a factory built around the same time. Maybe one day things will change, but i doubt it, it might cost businesses a fraction of their profits, and they don't want that, maybe one day someone will decide workers being happy ensures quality improved dramatically, oh yes there are actually examples of some smaller very successful businesses in america , business that listen to workers and pre-empt them by ensuring they have nice surroundings to work in.

Unfortunately, worker's happiness seems to be the last thing on the mind of the billionaire who owns the place. He fires thousands of workers "to save money for the company", while at the very same time, asks to be paid 56 billion dollars!
