After installing an 8.8 in my YJ, I needed to figure out a way to get taller shocks for the new setup. I went with M.O.R.E. Offroads upper shock extension brackets. Check this video out and see what the install involved!
I hated those shock extensions, they make your shocks in a bind cuz they are inboard farther. Even after I moved the axle mounts inward the shocks still rubbed and dented on the extensions when wheeling/flexing. Hopefully you have better luck than I did
If you mean the upper one where the shock mounts to it looks like it might be able to. Doesn’t look welded from what I remember. If you’re talking the lower mounting stud that goes into the hole in the frame, no that’s welded unless you cut it off
@@jtmoffroad yeah I was asking about the one where the shock mounts to. I upgraded to Fox Shocks and the rear ones don’t fit on the stock mount because the shocks have that metal sleeve inside the bushing
