Hey, a little tip i learned from Rick L. Mix up some of your Cal Mag in your sprayer and spray your orchids. Your orchids get rained on often. Like his. Hit them with some CalMal after it rains. I use 10 drops to my half gallon of water and spray away. Im a window sill grower and i imagine my orchids are outside. I am so jealous of your Pergola 😂. I spray them with CalMag and Seaweed once or twice a week. Happy growing from NC 💓

Beautiful indoor phals, Beautiful Vanda Kitty 😻, Beautiful Blooms! For the roots attached to the floor u have to wet them abudantly, wait some minutes and then pull them softly: they will come off without damage only if soaked in water 😊 try and let me know 🧸🌈🌸💫

hey, nice phals! for the spike growing down we have had success by using a plant tag or piece of plastic and place it on top of the media over the rim of the pot. the spike will start growing along this and out (hopefully). good luck!

Just gorgeous! How often do you water your Phals in the TV room? Also do you spray Sevin on your blooms? You have so many blooms, you have the greenest thumb off anyone! 🩷

Maybe someone has already mentioned but re: the rain maybe at times when you’re home you can get a fan and run it through the pergola to help them dry out. It can help mitigate damage.

6:59 Dracula orchid spikes grow the same way. 13:17 I have a noID phal with orange flowers that looks like this one, long stem and shiny new leaves. 42:15 My mom wrapped some kind of plastic around the base of a peach tree to stop squirrels from climbing up. Maybe something like that could help.

Amazing all the spikes you already have on your Phals! I wonder if it’s because they are inside? Mine are outside and they think that it is still full summer😉. Somany buds. How exciting🤗😍

That’s awesome, were they recently brought in from the warm outdoors? If so the cooler temps indoors is likely triggering the cool blooming hybrids to spike! Either way super exciting! I pulled some out of my grown cabinet and have quite a few spikes too :) also point the spike towards the light and it’ll change direction! I have one I’m growing in a spiral right now but keeping turning it :)
