More Powerful 2020 Ford GT Liquid Carbon Edition Revealed - Inside Lane

Just when we though the new Ford GT story was coming to a close, the blue oval surprises us with a series of updates for the 2020 supercar and a Liquid Carbon Edition. The headline? It is even more powerful! Its twin-turbocharged V6 engine now produces 660hp and broader torque.
Performance updates will be available across the GT range, as will the now standard Akrapovic exhaust. The new Liquid Carbon Edition feature naked carbonfibre and matching wheels. This is said to save weight as well as look good, but the estimated price is close to $750,000.
The Gulf Racing Heritage Edition options have also been updated on 2020 Ford GTs. This GT is set to be produced until 2022 with all cars already spoken for.

Liquid carbon for me. But the new track only version is even more performance oriented everywhere including actually having 730hp

I agree. Liquid Carbon looks great! GT MKII road conversion?

That's pretty cool. If I was super rich I'd like to have one in my stable. Ironically though, it's still going to be significantly slower than a 720S, which has a real world 800 ish hp and can be picked up, lightly used, for around £160k. When the track focused LT version is released it's goingt to blow the track only version of the GT out of the water.

I genuinely think the 720S is the best all-around supercar money can buy right now. I've spent lots of time on and off track with them... Easy to use every day, incredibly fast when unleashed.

As in favourite GT variant, or car overall? If we're talking GT I'd have the Gulf Heritage car. As for overall, I'm lucky to drive most new cars launched each year, but I don't think I have an overall favourite. A few I really like at the moment: Alpine A110, McLaren 720S, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, Ford Fiesta ST, VW Up GTI, Peugeot 3008, were the first that came to mind.

Which Ford GT variant would you have? Standard, Heritage, Gulf Racing, or Liquid Carbon?

Money no object, Liquid Carbon of course ;) I'm guessing they're all spoken fo though?

@@stubones Sadly, yes. Ford extended production by two years to 2022, but I doubt they will do it again.
