How a meeting with a daffodil expert in the mid 1990s, thanks to my friend Geraldine, left such a deep impression that I promised myself then that I would one day start my own collection.

Hi Andrew, lovely daffs in a lovely setting, complete with an interesting story. Thank you.

Thank you, Phillip. Sometimes we meet people who leave such an indelible impression that their influence only manifests itself many years later!

Amazing 😮 It’s great Andrew to see how many you have, wow! so many! "fluttering and dancing in the breeze" ❤ and the paintings are really lovely too. Bravo 🥰

There is something special about Daffodils, the outer petals almost seem to reach out to embrace you telling you summer's on the way.

That is a lovely way of expressing it, Michael.

Lovely, Andrew, to see your daffodils and learn the story behind them. Our fragile daffodils pop up every year in February for just a short time. Each year they seem to come earlier than the last.

Lovely to see you here again. Yes, they are a joy. They require almost no attention but give a tremendous amount of pleasure. I still marvel at the brevity of my meeting with this lady and the impact that that meeting had and still has for me. A rare event indeed.

Daffs have always been my favourite. They always make me smile.

I agree, Nigel, they are, for me, to first sign of Spring and in that we rejoice!

So beautiful! I love the video from the past as well. Roki and I can imagine ourselves in the lovely flowering yard of the lady you filmed. Dear soft wind among the flowers... Oh, what a dear part of the world it is. Congratulations for your success with growing these beautiful daffodils, you cherish the plants life and it gratitudes to you in its fullness.

Like young children when they grow up you send them out into the world and tell them to get on with it, live your life, follow your heart's desire! So it is with my daffodils, but when they return home every Spring I rejoice. I say to myself, 'My beauties have returned. How joyful that is. Good to have you around!' And before i know it they are off again on their journey and I long for the Spring again that we may meet once again. You understand, I'm sure.

Thank you, Ann. Sometimes we meet people, even briefly, but the memory and impact can last a lifetime. I don't suppose it happens often but perhaps that is why such encounters are so special.

I love the irony Andrew a film about a flower 🌼 associated with selfishness and egotistic self adoration by a person who could hardly be further from that idiom. Excellent. Well done.

Mark, my good friend, I loved your comment. I am simply the guardian of these delightful flowers. While they live and appear each year I gain inspiration and I always look forward to their appearance each year. Whenever I see them I know that this year will be a good one!

I just thought to myself now Andrew what a beautiful word Daffodils. That was a mighty fine collection - yours is pretty impressive to. They brighten up anyone's day - seeing them on roadside verges is always nice. Well, thanks for sharing - seeing her at the start was lovely to. Mark

I wish I had filmed her a little bit more, Mark, I think I was a little shy then. Yes, I am very pleased with my collection but hers certainly put mine in the shade. Still, there is time to increase mine. They are such happy flowers. Thank for watching and commenting.

@@andrewnorris2 Hindsight is a fine thing eh Andrew. She did look an interesting character. I'm certain the collection will be awesome in 10 years time - it is now. Yeah, they make us smile. Have a good week ahead.
