Mate this thing with the gear shifter is brilliant! Sorts the sleeping baby staying in a car on arrival. And a 30 second lights - that's awesome, thanks!
Hello, Thank you for your videos. I am looking to connect my Montero Sport 2019 to the trailer for my motorbike. I found the 3 connectors in the back of the car but couldn't find on the after market what kind of connectors they are and if I can find the harness. If you can help for this?
Becoming a big fan mate👍 Being able to leave the head unit on when turning the car off is a massive game changer for me. One question for you, how good are you with tyres? Looking for an all-terrain which is more highway biased, has to be quiet but still has a slight edge for when the weekend warrior comes out.
Dad used to love his pirelli scorpions. You'll have a not so aggressive all terrain. I have the at3w wildpeaks but they're pretty aggressive. I'd look towards an aggressive road terrain. Have a look at the nitto range too :)
Just bought a new-to-me 2018 Pajero Sport and i cannot wait to fool around with the functions. My 58 year old father has a 2018 Triton and never EVER does anything other than drive it - hes missing out.
Can I please ask you I’m purchasing your model 2022 and I would like to have your advice for an upgrade Shock Absorber’s lifting the vehicle up to 2 inches. I do carry between 3 to 4 people with their luggage most of the time. What’s your best advice please?
I know this is a very late comment, I am looking at buying one of these. The "hook" on the headrest, is that the button that unlocks the headrest to go up and down and remove?
Awesome! I just bought my19 Pajero Sport today and I don't think the previous owner knew about any of these hacks. Cheers mate, can enjoy my new rig even more now.
I have the new version of the media console, how to get the secret menu? Cause you way doesn't work on this one. Andn from where you got the console fiber sticker for the Montero? Could you please share the link 😅
Thanks mate love that air con trick. Also in that dash menu you can change the sound of your indicator. Bit strange to get used to bit now I can't go back to the normal tone
hey i know you didn't enjoy my shit stirring on the last video but these videos are very handy, thank you. saves having to go through 100 pages of the manual just to learn how one part of the car works lol
Yeah. But don't let that discourage you. A headunit isn't the be all and end all of a car. And while they are prone to failure. They're an easy fix and upgradable
@@T.A.G sorry i thought it was something to do with the engine, haha, cant believe how many k's you've done in that, ive had my triton for 13years, only got 83000klm on it!
Why is your side mirror didn’t fold when you lock the car ? I’m trying to disable the automatic side mirrors folding when locking the car but I don’t know how 😅
@@T.A.G if you use the fob metal key to lock the car (as I do when I go surfing) then the mirrors don't fold in. Don't know if there's a way to set that electronically though. I'd prefer they did fold in when just key-locked! 🤔🙂
Any tips on how to change the keyless entry to only open the drivers door. I have just picked up a 2017 PS and I lock my car keys in a lock box attached to the the tow ball while surfing and having the keyless entry from the boot is a bit of a problem.
More tips, and some great ones again :-) Just on the C position, indeed helpful but also noting the Pajero Sport does a pretty good job in auto. Not 100% sure how it is programmed, bit I noticed on Gravel roads it also defaults to C, and also when the inside/outside are far apart. in that regard, true 'auto' CC.
Does anyone know how to have the boot automatically unlock when I open my driver's door and get out of the car? The number of times I've had to go back to the door and unlock the boot!!! It's a P. I. T. A
If the car is locked you only need to have the key in hand or nearby to open the tailgate. Just lift the lever and it will unlock and open. This will also unlock all the doors again so make sure you re -lock with the little hidden button or with the key fob .
So is there a way to get rid of that annoying disclaimer screen that comes up on the head unit. I know other brands dismiss it after 30 seconds or so but the PS will left it there until next century....
@@royanderson5538 they're full of it haha. The update for the head unit allows it to self clear. Jump on the Facebook pages and give it a search. Someone has uploaded the file and a how to to update it DIY
Hey mate, I just noticed that the Indonesian model of triton HDX (don't really remember about the GLS), at the head units for the 2018-recent models, which is only have 1 big button in the middle for the "select" and volume adjust,. if you look at a lower angle, you'll notice that there's a bluetooh icon on the top-right corner.. I really wonder if I can actually turn the Bluetooth on lmao
Leant heaps, thanks for that. ?.? When my phone is connected and I’m using maps the voice directions volume is very loud, is there a way of turning the volume down in the car settings? Radio volume doesn’t adjust it. I love my Sport but the one thing that I find annoying is the lowest aircon fan speed is too high. It should be half that speed.
Don, you can adjust the volume of voice directions and phone conversations by toggling the volume control lever on the steering wheel (LHS) whilst the directions/caller are talking. Doing this at other times only adjusts radio volume.
Nice work Rohan. I already knew these having read the manual from cover to cover. One thing that is worth mentioning that I didn’t see in either Pt 1 or Pt 2 is that there is an actual physical key stored in the fob which can be released by sliding the little lever on the back. (You probably knew this but many don’t.) This can then be used to unlock/lock the doors if for instance the fob battery dies. Obviously you can’t start the car with it because there is only push button start/stop.
Good pickup. Yeah I was chatting to a friend who also mentioned that. I thought about it on the way home from filming but decided to leave it out as I was done already haha. Maybe I'll do a small segment later on it :) Thanks for sharing :) Thanks for watching :)
Hi thanks for that too. Was gonna ask if there is a way to deactivate the doors locking by themselves. Bloody annoying..all the best mate, have a great day.
@@stoneworx09 Yes there are a number of options for for un- locking but the dealer has to do it. The car will always self lock once you reach 15km/he but will also unlock in the event of an accident. You can have the dealer set the doors to unlock when you engage Park or if you turn off the engine . The default setting is unlock all doors by operating drivers door lock lever.
Another one is the adaptive cruise. Hold the cruise button and the little credit card looking button in for around 5 seconds and it turns adaptive radar off and leaves you with just old school cruise control. But remember when hurtling up to someone going considerably slower to hit cancel or hit the farkn brakes. 😂. Just another to add to your list. Great vlogs keep em coming. Cheers
0:21 dude fr pulled up an epik intro (thanks for telling me this mate, my pops had a 2016 mitsubishi pajero sport, i think it was still the built up but im not sure, but thank you mate, god bless you)
My 2005 Toyota Corolla has none of these features , still at $1100 purchase price 2 years ago I can't expect too much . I was planning on buying a new Hilux but Toyota tax prevents this .
Thanks for the video. The air con hack is an absolute killer!! Mine is a 2021 face lift model but the interior is very similar to yours. Did you know the rear vipers work when it's raining and you shift in reverse (as long as the windshield vipers are on). Also the newer model's have active cornering lamps (in front) that switch on when in you put in reverse. The windows roll up/down when the car is switched off until 30 seconds. This helps me to roll up the windows without switching on the car again. Cheers!
@@jeremyduvitt6584 once powered down the windows will work for approx 30 seconds from memory. Buttons is cancelled as soon as a door is opened. So if the misso opens a door while the window is half down its gonna stay half down 🤣
One thing that will stand for ever and ever, there was no and there will not an suv like the 2008 Pajero. Not on road not off road. Pajero for Africa !!!!
You should only be using recirculation for times when you are trying to heat or cool the vehicle interior quickly OR when travelling in an area where the air outside is poor quality (smelly, following a dirty diesel, dusty etc). Otherwise fresh air chills always be entering the cabin. It has been known even for people to pass out from carbon dioxide buildup in the cabin rebreathing the same air for a long period. This is why man modern recirc settings revert back to fresh air after a set period (say 15mins).
I don't believe that for a minute sorry. I've slept longer than 12hrs in a locked up car haha. If you're passing out you more than likely have an exhaust leak entering the cab
@@T.A.G not really bothered what you believe frankly. Recirculation is only for temporary use. Read your manual and do your research. Aside from that - stuffy air - yuk. (The issue was with a car load of people and no fresh air entering not just one person but still). Mind you I had another argument recently where someone said their car didn’t have a recirculation mode - they all do. Have done for at least 40years, probably decades longer. Always.
There's vents in every vehicle which even have a name. Flow through ventilation. All cars have it and I know that every vehicle air conditioning system will work more efficiently with the recirculation on. There's a pressure differential between the inside and outside of a vehicle that continually replaces a small displacement of air keeping the interior air fresh. No production vehicles are completely sealed off from the atmosphere in any way. It is also too expensive to create seals and gaskets for that purpose. My fellow mechanics are familiar with heater boxes and the venting systems in cars and will fully agree with this.
Did you know that there is a headlamp washer button at the end of the indicator stalk (on the Exceed model anyway)? To activate this, your headlight must be on and operation mode to ACC or ON then press the washer button.
I've been trying to film an update for so long. I've actually filmed 2 updated but I'm not happy with them. I will update everyone next week. But there's alot going on with it :(
