Matching up with Kazuya, Paul, Lee and two Devil Jins in one run of blue ranks is just plot armor. Had it been me, the lineup would've been Victor, Drag, Eddy, Yoshimitsu and Hwoarang.
I swear to god I fight NOTHING but Yoshimitsu players, I don’t know the matchup, and even if I did, every Yoshi plays drastically different from the last anyway.
One of the main things I like about TMM is that he always compliments the good moves his opponent makes while playing. Makes it better to watch and a bit educational too In some ways
You just gave me PTSD from playing against online Shoto players in SF, thought you was definitely going to say "and of course they did a 4th electric".
14:00 that chatter was being dishonest because anakin never said reina was easy. He actually said the opposite. He made a tier list and he put her in not easy lol
Neat trick if you wanna get to bustin’ with Jin just play devil Jin. When devil jin says “we skeet again” he means him and Jin skeet together hence they both be bustin’. So if you get devil to bustin, Jin will follow 👀
Reina is not easy but the fact that so many people use her contributes to the knowledge matchup. I’m at 120+ hours and today was the first time I ran into Claudio.
Her movement and strings are too much it’s impossible to see which move comes out, personally i think that’s a major flaw in character design and why she gets free wins online.
@@paradiseb5950I think the game has a problem with all the effects with certain characters get really visually noisy. True it really doesn’t help when she is rolling in the ground to jumping 7 meters into the air while doing 17 flips.
To those thinking Reina is easy and or brain dead it really is about just playing her once you get past red you learn that her flowcharts and lvl 1 mix are just purely not in your favor and once people can launch you, float you , and punish you for trying sentai mix you’ll start to see the difficulty up to then however it is piss baby easy
This. People who say she's braindead are most likely in the lower ranks. If you haven't labbed her sentai mix it's BS but it's actually really easy to counter.
I play Reina without really being able to Electric consistently and instead, learning what I can about her kit. Sure her SEN mixup works fine but I have been working with what I can to use her other tools. It's very difficult given that SEN mixup is her best thing early on, and aggression is key. Despite that, I have been able to work some extra transitions, some counter hit throws and feints. Been around Red ranks but got a rough patch lately so I got dropped to orange. Still trying to get her kit to work without going full Raiden SEN spam cause that can get super predictable. She is the character I have the most fun with, and while it can get frustrating at times when I feel I am regressing, I try to see how else I can learn and put her tools together. She is fun in that there's so much to learn with her. Plus it's one of the few times I get to experiment with a character and possibly try things others hadn't seen before or expect.
@@Krethean if you’re in red the n the biggest thing I suggest is to 1 review replays if something feels broken 2. Use 3+4. That will easily get you out of red. Once in purple you’ll have to actually sidestep a bit but jab jab checking and ff2, 2 then wait is probably one of the biggest bumps I’ve ever experienced
@@jacobreese1232 yeah everyone does in there I’d say that picking up the Strat of just taking health leads and running with them is probably the biggest thing. Just playing off of a panicking player is SO strong. Electric and fc df4 become godlike when somebody is scraping for mic
The first one was already intense Reina seems like a really cool character and the game has a lot of features for beginners but i dislike Bamco`s monetization tactics
Thank god i dont have to use the monetization parts. I already made a bunch of really pretty outfits for my chars. Dlc im gonna buy cuz new character but thats normal. rest i dont need
@@Sammysapphira I mean so far i dont feel like i need any of the outfits. I made way better ones. Maybe if lee gets his T6 outfit. But by that time id have spent so much time with this game that i wont be bothered throwing 4$ at it. Battle pass is a one time buy and never again so as much as i dont like battle passess its literally a one time buy. and what 600 coins? again a few dollars. Once. The money is gonna be made back. Yes id love free shit too but compared to games like MK where you have no choice but to buy extremely expensive shits these few dollars every few months is not that bad. Now if you are someone who NEEDS all the shit then yeah it sucks to be you thats a lot of money. Still quarter of the price of MK mtx and nothing is locked behind Fomo bullshit. (im already done with the battle pass too and it still have more than 40 days.)
I’m gonna be honest in regarding the battle pass. It was stupid I know but the Mishima Zaibatsu eyes look like the Mangekyou Sharingan and i pulled the trigger lol
圧倒する (attousuru) which means "to overwhelm"; "to crush" or "to utterly defeat" Basically, she's pulling a Minos Prime from ULTRAKILL and shouting "CRUSH!"
@@fauxfirefurthanks dude. Jesus the Japaneese language in general is just admirable, i love how you have to explain the translation due to the high context / low context differences. Im never tired of hearing this language
@@t7taskgamingShe just says (Saate) さあて。。。 Which is like "Well then..." basically something you'd say pretty casually before going home after hanging out with friends (Like ending a conversation) or getting started on something (work for example) or a segue into a conversation (You may have a bit of friendly chatter at a meeting for example then say さあて to get started on business for example) The way she's saying it is pretty casual though
All the characters are easy in this game compared to the other tekkens if you think your character is hard you’re in lalaland. If you know a simple combo and use your heat or rage effectively you win the round off 1 combo and effective use of 1 of the other two. This game is gonna change a lot and then once that happens we can start saying some characters are hard. Rn though all that shit is pointless all the characters have tons of utility becasue of the current mechanics
@@chaosvii4605absolutely not! I don't recommend mashing with her because she's not easy to play with. Not even on low ranks. Sure she seems so because of neutral combos and the like but trust learn her properly
20:27 for the kick breaking the wall it’s just meant to be her HARD wall break move if you do it in the green shrine or in the palace glass it will break the wall off one hit
@@spacexdragon9614 uuuh that’s lowkey a niche thing to know but I know ALOT of characters can change their combos to hard break walls. And isn’t one hit it’s a string to hit the wall twice so the kick splats then they follow up splats too in order to break the wall
That Paul in the beginning did a good 1st round but then he forgot he was playing Tekken 8 and was just standing still, not pressing anything and start losing but then he remembered he was playing Tekken 8 and started pressing again
You need to learn other options other than Sentai. Just reached yellow ranks with Reina. Abuse more of her moves in Heaven's Wrath stance and learn which strings can make you reliably enter HW. Those who know the match up will just punish you if you're just manually entering HW out of the blue.
I always throw 2 back to back dB 2 because I noticed most people don't know it's minus on hit, so they do a little back dash after the the damage not realizing its their turn. I noticed that devil jin doing it twice
16:24 I believe it's not pushback problem, her limbs are literally short because she smol. Yes, sometimes she has a nice reach but it's nice for her sizes. Vrvr strong char btw but hard...
Reina is rough to play and one of the easiest one to lab aswell. Many of her best options from sen or hw are steppable and fuzzied. Her best approach tool ff2 is highly steppable. You can knowledge check the hell out of ppl at red or purple ranks. But after that shit gets difficult when your opponents have been labbing the matchup. And as a player you have to be on point with your reaction in hit confirming stuff like 3+4, ff2 hit into sen 3, hw 1 into sen 1+2 etc. Then you need the standard high level movement and execution for the electrics and cd+3's.
Bamco should be charged with war crimes for not giving Jin/Devil Jin some dope shit to say when they hit an electric. Idgaf if it goes against lore or whatever tf
Did you see the pushback after Paul's shoulder? Usually there isn't pushback, but in this moment there is. Mainman wanted to punish it, but it wiffed due to the above reason.
what bothers me about reina is that her ff2 is always the best tool. it is too fast, it tracks too much, it reaches too much, and you can force pressure even when they block as she has a lot of sentai options that covers all defender's options too. tbh I would really like if reina couldn't transition to sentai on block from df1 and ff2. I would really like if ff2 got slowed to 16 or more frames, and if it becomes actually linear (it tracks too much). lastly, they could buff ff3 so it takes some of the functionality of ff2. it could heat engage on standing hit, and on crouch, it could knock down to a guaranteed stomp. I think this would create this dynamic where if your opponent respects you too much and retreats linearly, ff2 becomes the best option, although if it doesn't transition on block it's frames should be adjusted to something like -3 on block, with some pushback. and if they side step/walk you, wavu electric to make them respect or duck, and then ff3 or hellsweep. this way her offense would still be pretty strong but would require more planning and conditioning (and execution). I think it would be a very cool change
Ff2 is not always the best tool lol. Most of her options out of ff2>sen get beaten by a flash duck. It's a really good move but over reliance on it will get you killed. You can even watch this video and you'll see mainman doesn't use it that much. It's just one of her options Also ff3 is already a heat engager on standing hit
its jack 2 ost from tekken2 (arcade version) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P-9S5iu7vHs.html the console version is very different, with jack 2 and mechanical sounds
she does look pretty good when a tekken god supreme plays her against purple and low blues filled with players, that are completely new to tekken and dont even have 300 hours in total
No character is hard to play in tekken 8. Maybe lei(in tekken 7) and xiaoyu because their stances really require alot of memorization and tactics. Hwoarang is just mashing though.
@@paradiseb5950ya, T8 is super streamlined, you can get to pretty high ranks with flow charts/tech without really knowing your characters full capabilities (I run into Fujin etc that still don’t really know their character) . Lei was hard in 7 but most people just used a few things and razor rush (when he had all 5 different animal form moves to use).
@@paradiseb5950Some characters are most certainly hard it's just that the majority of the people you go up against don't have the skill to deal with it.
Easy character or not, you have to admit Reina is way too oppressive especially when you have to wait for her 20 jab combo to end after she's pushed you against the wall
I might be a weirdo especially since I was a hard-core hei main for 20 yrs.....but for me Reina gets boring to play after a bit, is this just me? Even if I'm winning 😅 I'm like eh this is not as fun. If she had otgf I'd be more hyped idk I find kaz and dvj more fun. Reina is badass tho not saying that I just feel like her gameplan is not fun personally.
@@v_Secre_v I was thinking the same thing and I'm not saying any of them are easy to learn but I just can't tolerate people saying Reina is easiest with all of Jins Bullshit lmao
@@brycenmarion146reina is free wins, no mishima has so many strings and weird movements. Her matchup is impossible to see what moves is coming out. She has such good unseeable lows she can win just by using those.
