When we moved to Albuq, the term "ditch" got erased from my vocabulary 🙂 It became, arroyo. Now those there arroyos are acequias. Didn't know they still had some in Albuq. I learn something new every video. They are all over downtown/old town Las Cruces and Mesilla. Still used for irrigation - for a fee. Some are kempt, some are abandoned and caving in.

When you were at Phil Chacon Park and the Community Center, you were right across the street from us! I can't wait to see the new park there! Our kids haven't been able to play there for almost 2 years now since they closed it down and kicked all the homeless out from there. But it was pretty ghetto and we really just went to the small park by the water park there cuz the other playground was pretty deteriorated. It'll be nice to have a new playground there. Thanks for sharing!

Shucks, too bad you didn't have some cardboard so you could slide down that snow hill in the park. Pretty snow scenes of the neighborhood. Liked your superbowl spread, omg those cheese poppers, yummy, yes please No bar-b- que this year just popped a Safeway signature select Sicilian pizza in the oven. It was a good game and the commercials, judge beauty, the couch potatoes, hilarious.

I've lived it, and after 20 years away, it was nice to see progress, but in Vegas, NV, it's North Las Vegas, and when you give an area a bad name, it sticks so war zone?

Changed the name to International District, but yeah, it will always be known as the WZ, from gangs and crime back in the day that only people around my age will remember. I lived in the thick of it for 6 years.
