Fed the more I watch your concise videos the more I enjoy them! Always brief but comprehensive unlike most of the other watch content out there. Too many watch you tubers have become influencers hawking product they will never wear.
Frederico, I have purchased four watches from Delray and I have never negotiated price on any of the watches . As it was axiomatic that I was getting the best deal world wide. Thank you best wishes from Australia.
I don't disagree that AP only has one trick up their sleeve, however, I do love the new Code 11.59 in the sand color dial. Both chronograph and three hander
Gave you a RU-vid thumbs up, but an emotional thumbs down for picking Patek! Comon! Haven't we reached peak Patek yet? 😜 Vacheron all day long!! Love the channel Fed. Keep up the good work.
Yeah Rolex isn't going anywhere. They been popular for decades. Even when you could just walk into a AD and buy a Sub or Gmt on the spot and they still remain independent and I know alot appreciate that. It seems some just want to see Rolex fail and I really don't know what that's about but it's just never gonna happen and I mean never. I really don't get the haters and they're unhealthy hate towards Rolex. Just move past it guys
I think the Rolex “hate” comes from the experience at the AD. Even Mercedes offers the C Class to new customers, but you can’t walk in and buy a Oyster Perpetual. The AD’s claim they have none from Rolex, yet you can get the OP readily on the grey market. The false lack of supply is creating the hostility towards Rolex since many customers just want to buy one watch without spending $1,000’s for stuff we don’t want.
@@dannysimenauer5745 Yeah I know it's tough to get them. Even though I had my Submariner 14060m since 2003 and added a Explorer 1,114270z in 2007. So I really don't pay attention to their modern stuff but I'm hearing customers are getting called now. With not much of a wait. My comment was targeted to the Rolex haters that just hate Rolex with a passion for no particular reason. Some can't wait for a Rolex video just to cast they're hate and I really don't know what that's about. I mean some of these guys enjoy expressing their Rolex hate. More than talking about a brand that they like.
Hodinkee turned into such crap. Their “journalists” were people who knew very little about watches and they seemed to be doing paid reviews. Glad Jack got out. They had a one hit wonder with the John Mayer segment. That’s it.
So true. Most ADs will treat you right if you don’t try to negotiate a lower price. In the run you will come out just fine and have a new watch friend. Thanks
Try selling to delray if you want to see true low ball offers 😂 their margins are massive. Not hating but they have a good business model going which means the sellers have to take the hit
I had my worst ever experience buying anything (not just watches) with Hodinkee. It’s too long to explain here, but suffice to say it took 3 months and 3 faulty watches before I got my money back.
It will be a good thing for Rolex when Rolex supply and demand meet. Rolex makes great tool watches and people enjoy buying many of their models to be celebrate events in our lives. The ADs behavior the last 5 years is a turnoff, and many are still acting if it is all supply and demand. We know it is not just by searching the grey market.
Rolex is the best watch scam on earth. Lots of $$$ for nothing, they aren't rare. I can't stand all these morons on ticktock trying to sell a Rolex at 22 that I could buy for 12k. Nothing special about them.
Regarding negotiating, you've always said dealers make about a 30% markup on new watches. With that in mind for a $3000 retail price for a watch I offered $2500 and it was immediately accepted. I think in this case the dealer readily agreed since they didn't have the watch in stock and had to order it from the manufacturer, so the dealer had no inventory cost sunk into the watch already.
so sorry but to say if one try to negotiate and you say not be to much off C24 is nothing you not considering is very arrogant bcs there is lots of watches on C24 wich are at least 20% overpriced!
Everybody knows that chrono24 is at least 10% overpriced due to the fact that sellers will have to pay when the watch finally sells. That wouldn't be a bad start for negotiations: 10% to 15% less than average chrono24 prices.
Find the cheapest price on C24 for the model you are after, then deduct around 10-15%. That’s what the watch is usually worth in the current market. Eric Wind said something like that anyway.
I consider Iwc,Omega and Longines great companies full of history and great models, one step under Rolex and two steps under Patek. Other major brands I can't tell the same
@@garyboyle695Alot like boring and traditional watches like Speedmasters and Submariners. And I'm definitely one of them. I like clean dials the minimal the better. Their traditional designs is what keeps them iconic. Nobody does simplicity like Rolex. I guess watches like RM are more your speed
I think one of Hoodinkee major issues is their loss of reality. Having celebrities show off their watch collection to us the average joe is pointless. Even if we have the money we would never be allowed to own any of the companies off catalog pieces.
