Had the opportunity to meet Rob when he was reporting from a Buffalo, NY snow storm. Beyond nice, he helped people stuck in the snow, made us laugh with his jokes and sense of humor. I'll change my morning news channel and I won't forget how nice a guy he was during that difficult situation.......

Hope he gets picked up soon by a credible network. He's damn good at what he does and his work on Muir will be greatly missed. Whatever the drama was at ABC should not be held against him by any prospective employer. Wishing him the very best.

GMA sounds like a toxic work environment in many quarters--not just in the weather room.

May have to think about watching David Muir. How am I supposed to know when winter is coming without seeing Rob start to grow his beard and then Spring when he shaves it off.

I think Rob is the best weather man GMA has ever had. GMA has been going down the toilet for a few years now. Now we have to watch Sam Champion do the weather. Decades ago, I liked Sam. He doesn't dress in a professional manner like other male co-workers. No shirt and tie. Usually white sneakers, and struts around with his coffee cup. I thought TJ and Amy were wonderful until their scandal. They both are disgusting now. My heart goes out to their families that they destroyed. As far as their podcast they don't have the right to talk trash about anyone else. I have been watching GMA ever since it first aired but, I can't hardly watch watch it anymore.

I've heard stories about either Ginger or the second hand shopper lady reporter being a nightmare to work with but I can't remember which one, and they are both still there.

They said the same thing about him when he was on NBC, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, and now ABC geez man you gotta get some help for that.

Rob was a weather man for a Portland Oregon news room. He then went there. Portland residents loved him and was sad when he left. This is a shock.

It amazes me how many of y’all are so ready to give this guy a pass. People get fired for a reason and none of y’all actually know him. GMA has had a toxic work environment for years. Whatever it was, he did it to the wrong person and now he’s gone. That’s work life.

Wow this really makes me feel old, because I have no idea who this person is. I have not watched Good Morning America since, Joan Lunden, David Hartman, Charles Gibson, and Diane Sawyer all have left the program.

If ABC doesn't appreciate him then it seems best he go somewhere he fits better. Anger is a tough thing. Hope he finds happiness and a new job.

My main complaint is that his segments were always cut so short on ABC like a sound bite. I think he used to be on CNN and had longer segments that were in depth and interesting.

I remember when Rob was on a Portland, OR TV station, before he worked for the big Networks. My guess is Rob was only part of the problem, but took all the heat.

It's too bad. There's always two sides of every story and then there's the truth, as they say. I would not doubt for a second that Ginger Z set it up. Egos are a horrible thing and when you're the "Chief", you don't like to be questioned.

..as an outsider looking in based on my slight viewer experience w/these ABC weather reporters, my impression was that I could sense when Rob reported/looked rough and could tell when he was on spot. The weave between him and Ginger Zee reporting presented both confident individuals. That said, i did not feel an earthiness/natural reporting from Ginger as I did Rob. Also, i found Ginger reporting in inappropriate for the event fashion (furry coats/designer gear) from hurricane/storm reporting, odd, leading me to feel she puts her image over the reality of the very important reporting of the weather event.

If he was temporarily barred from the main GMA set in NYC 0:58 Is that why he did all those weather remotes, from Mamaroneck, NY, and from some city ~Bridgeport Connecticut? I thought he did the weather from there because he just live there, and it was an easier commute, instead of going into Manhattan.
