Always loved Morecambe since my parents bought a caravan on Ocean Edge caravan park back in the late 70's. I know it's no longer a resort more like a town by the sea, but I love it, the views over the bay and it's understated aspect. I'm going to retire there when I am 60, plus you're very close to the Lakes as well....winner. Cheers for the video 👍
Thanks dave, my wife works at ocean edge. Yes since Lancaster Council took over they had no interest in morecambe, but the new Eden project might be a breath of fresh for Morecambe. Details for it are online. It's an interesting future.
Great to see these exciting new plans. Morecambe is one of my favorite memories as a kid when we visited there for the day in summer 88. How good it would be to see modern day versions of the old outdoor wave pool (Bubbles) and fairground (Frontierland) making a comeback too.
I thought I was the only one old enough to remember it's good old days lol yes I love the town always have and it can only get better here's hoping to an exciting future
Morecambe is a soft gentle area that is a home for love. We do have the drug problem but they still have a good heart (never judge someones story) ... The west end is such a promising place if lancaster council would stop sending in the trashy people in.. That's what's Oldham and Rochdale is for!!
I don't think it's just Morecambe, there's not much of an opportunity for the young today. But things might change the Eden project might make Morecambe the north's goto spot.
went to morecambe yesterday in the car, pleasantly surprised at the change in the place, we'll be going tomorow in the camper, might try it on the prom for a few nights, campsites are getting a bit silly with the prices imho, might cya there.
@@SMITHYSKONTIKI we only got the van in february then the lockdown came in, i've bought a new 2k generator. we sold the caravan as i'm disabled and it was getting difficult to hitch it up and mess about. so this is our first trip out in it. i should have got solar but i did'nt know much about them so i might go down that route, whats best rigid or flexible panels?
Lol that would be great. There is hundreds of millions being invested in the uks 2nd Eden project property is rising and the beeches are packed with the nice weather. Having said that if you have a billion I'd would just tour the world forever and enjoy it you wouldn't need any more.
@@ManyFunAdventures it's starting to change for the better lol until this thing shut everything but with the uks second Eden project should be a good boost the view of the lakeland mountains is second to none mate and you can park as long as you want as some do
