MARCUS & MORGAN: REBEL FOR TRUTH
One year ago, Morgan Trowland and Marcus Decker bravely scaled the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, for one of the most spectacular and successful banner drops in the history of protest.
Taking action for Just Stop Oil, they boldly demanded the UK Government cease all consents and licenses for new fossil fuel projects. A demand which is increasingly being ignored as Sunak ramps up support for fossil fuels and overturns environmental protections.
On October 20th 2022, they were imprisoned awaiting trial, which eventually came in April 2023 when they received sentences of 3 years for Morgan and 2 years 7 months for Marcus - some of the longest sentences ever passed for non-violent protestors in British history.
REBELLION THROUGH CREATIVITY
Marcus and Morgan are incredibly gifted, visionary people who blazed a trail in Extinction Rebellion, inspiring people to raise their voices through music, design and non-violent direct action.
HEROES NOT CRIMINALS
As if the prison sentence wasn’t bad enough, Marcus, a German citizen, is being threatened with deportation.
